Chapter 218: 218: Be Wary Of The Nuns
Yesterday, Sirzechs had told Rias that she could finally release Gasper. She was now strong enough to handle him even if he lost control of his power.
"Indeed, he is really a male," Rias said softly.
She leaned over the back of the chair Yusuke was sitting on and gently caressed his head. While stroking his hair, she began to explain Gasper’s past to him in a calm voice.
Apparently, he was a Dhampir. A half vampire and half human. He possessed the Sacred Gear called Forbidden Balor View. Because of his uncontrollable Sacred Gear and the prejudice people had toward half breeds, Gasper grew up in isolation and suffered constant abuse.
He met Rias when he tried to escape from his family’s castle, but ended up being killed by vampire hunters. He was lucky, however, because Rias happened to be in the area. Taking pity on him, she reincarnated him as one of her servants using her Bishop Mutation Piece.
Sirzechs believed that letting Gasper move around freely would be dangerous for both him and others. So he had Rias keep Gasper locked inside a sealed room on the first floor of the Occult Research Club.
Even so, Gasper was given the option to leave the room at night if he wished. However, the traumatized trap Dhampir was not willing to do so. Due to the terrible experiences from his past, he had developed severe agoraphobia.
In the end, he chose to remain sealed inside the room permanently.
"I didn’t know you had another peerage member. I thought only Akeno and Koneko were in your peerage," Yusuke said, tilting his head slightly. He was actually feeling quite comfortable being patted like this, but he would never admit it. It was too embarrassing!
"By the way,"
He decided to ignore the trap for now and turned toward the other strange person in the room. He pointed at the tan-skinned beauty wearing the maid costume and asked, "What is her deal?"
"She is sla... I mean, Katerea Leviathan, the descendant of the original Maou Leviathan," Irina said, almost slipping up. She quickly corrected herself with a bright smile. "She did some very bad things in the past, but now she has recognized her wrongdoings and repented."
"You don’t need to mind her. She’ll be working around the house as a maid from now on."
"Quickly greet Darling!" Irina turned to Katerea and urged her in an impatient tone.
"It is an honor to... to be blessed by your presence, Yusuke-sama!"
Katerea bowed deeply at a perfect 90-degree angle and spoke with a clearly trembling voice. Yusuke could not tell whether she was shaking from fear or from excitement.
"...Alright."
Yusuke narrowed his eyes and glanced at both of them. He was almost certain Irina had been about to say something else, but quickly corrected herself. For now, he decided to let it slide.
He observed Katerea for a few moments before looking away. She did not seem like a yandere, but it never hurt to assume that every woman was a yandere until proven otherwise.
Akeno walked inside and handed Yusuke his cup of tea, then stood gracefully beside him.
The peace talk was scheduled for tonight, but everyone had already gathered earlier. The Devils’ side was fully present. Yusuke knew that the Fallen Angels had been in Kuoh Town for a while now. He had even met Azazel, their Governor General.
The only ones still missing were the Angels.
He was rather curious about how Angels looked. Would light follow them everywhere they went?
Would they really have pure white wings and glowing halos floating above their heads?
"Have you thought about it, Asia-san, Xenovia-san, Irina-san?"
Rias looked at the church trio and asked. She had previously proposed taking the three of them into her peerage.
Speaking of which, Rias’s situation was becoming quite awkward. She had lost Kiba, or rather, she had given up on him. Now her peerage was even smaller than before. On the other hand, Sona’s peerage had grown even further and become much stronger with the addition of Aika and Murayama.
At this rate, she will struggle to participate in the rating games.
"Your proposal is good, but this is a huge matter. Once I become a Devil, I won’t be able to return to being a human again," Xenovia spoke in a rather serious tone, which was quite unlike her usual self.
Between becoming an Angel, a Devil, or a Fallen Angel, Xenovia would much rather become the latter.
Fallen Angels had the fewest weaknesses and restrictions. Devils were weak to Holy Light, while Angels were forbidden from committing any sins. On the other hand, Fallen Angels enjoyed nearly the same perks as Angels with almost no restrictions whatsoever. They could even use Holy Light, which was deadly to Devils.
Unfortunately, becoming a Fallen Angel was not an option. Currently, the only race that possessed the technology to reincarnate others was the Devil race.
Still, Xenovia was very tempted by the perks of becoming a Devil. She would gain Demonic Energy, which was far easier to control and use than normal magic. More importantly, she would receive a greatly extended lifespan, allowing her to stay together with her beloved man for a very long time.
Unlike ordinary humans, Yusuke had already told them that his own lifespan was much longer than normal.
’As expected of Yu, he is truly a God!’
Xenovia stared at Yusuke with an infatuated expression, her eyes sparkling with adoration. She quickly composed herself and asked him, "What do you think I should do, Yu?"
"I don’t know. Ask Aika and Murayama. Those two have more experience than me in this area," Yusuke shrugged and pointed at the two girls who were bickering on the side.
"Stupid masochist! Since when did you start having standards?!"
"Fuck you! Only Yusuke is allowed to do that to me! I have way higher standards than a piss sprinkler like you, you disgusting blood-obsessed freak!"
It seemed that after being ’enlightened’ by the church trio, Murayama was no longer satisfied with just ’educating’ Serafall. She had shamelessly asked Aika if she could volunteer to become her test subject. After all, Aika was a massive masochist while Murayama was awakening her sadistic side. It should have been the perfect combination, right?
But Aika had spat at her in disgust and outright refused, even cursing her for daring to suggest such a ridiculous idea.
"I’ll ask them later," Xenovia blinked and looked away.
"Yeah, let’s put this matter aside for now," Rias said as she rubbed her brows, deciding to shelve the topic for the time being.
She was quite optimistic about Xenovia. Her attitude suggested she was not completely against becoming a Devil. If Xenovia chose to reincarnate, Irina, who was always with her, might very well follow the same decision.
The only one who would be truly hard to convince was Asia. She was surprisingly stubborn for someone with such a meek and gentle appearance.
Though by now the majority of the women know what kind of sinister and manipulative person is hiding behind that meek facade.
...
Late at night, a large and powerful barrier enveloped the entire school, completely sealing it off and preventing anyone from entering.
Outside the barrier, troops from the Angels, Fallen Angels, and Devils had surrounded the school. The heavy atmosphere made it seem as if the situation was critical and dangerous.
Originally, the peace talk was supposed to be held more than a week ago. However, because of a certain yandere magnet, one of the main figures involved had spent days frantically searching for his beloved wife, who had run off with another man. Because of that, the meeting was pushed back until today.
"So these are angels. They really do look like... angels," Yusuke muttered as he stared out the window.
He watched the troops standing in neat, disciplined formations while guarding the barrier. Even though the three races were all protecting the same barrier, they were not gathered together. Each race was stationed separately in their own area.
Yusuke found it completely normal. It would actually be strange if former enemies who had waged war against each other for so long could suddenly work together so seamlessly in this kind of situation.
’The best way to make them forget their previous hatred and work together is to have a common enemy. In a sense, the Khaos Brigade is doing the three factions a favor,’ Yusuke suddenly thought.
Maybe the leaders of the three factions also held the same view. Or perhaps it was just his own manipulative mind working overtime.
Grayfia opened the door and allowed Yusuke, Rias, Sona, and their peerages to enter. The other women remained waiting in the Occult Research Club.
Inside was a gorgeous and extravagant long table. Seated around it were various high-ranking figures from the three factions.
There was Sirzechs, who gave Yusuke a complicated look the moment he saw Grayfia walking so closely by his side. Next to him sat Serafall. Yusuke had no idea how the hell she had escaped, but what he did know was that her submission value had risen.
[Serafall Leviathan’s submission: 60 (Possessive)]
Previously, it was 41, so it had increased by 19 points.
Serafall gave him a mischievous and teasing wink.
Opposite to the Devils sat a handsome man with long blond hair and green eyes. Twelve magnificent wings extended from his back, shining with a brilliant golden color. Unlike the angels Yusuke had seen outside, whose wings were pure white, this man’s wings had a majestic, radiant golden hue.
Standing next to him was an amazingly beautiful woman who appeared to be in her early thirties. She had beautiful blonde hair, mostly concealed beneath a nun’s attire, and blue eyes.
Her figure was so thick and sexy that it could not be hidden even beneath the modest nun uniform. Her breasts were large and round, standing upright and defying gravity. Her thick, plump ass was tightly hugged by the fabric of her clothes, accentuating her alluring curves.
When Yusuke entered the room, the beautiful blonde woman stared at him for a moment before giving him a gentle, warm, and motherly smile.
Finally, on the Fallen Angels’ side sat Azazel with all twelve of his wings unfurled, along with the silver-haired battle maniac Yusuke had met the day before, Vali.
"Yusuke? What happened to you?! Hahahaha! Hahahahahahaha! Shit!"
Azazel suddenly stood up and pointed at Yusuke with wide eyes. He clutched his stomach and burst into loud laughter. He sat back down, but he kept laughing so hard that tears streamed down his face.
"This shit is hilarious! Ahahahahaha!"
"My stomach! I can’t take it! I can’t take it! Hahahahaha!"
Thud!
He laughed so hard that he fell backward along with his chair.
