Chapter 192: Faye’s Late Night Cravings Is Exhausting Princess.

Weeks has passed since they got back from Redwood, and both has resume school but things has changed.

Princess stepped down from being the school president, a move that stunned everyone. She wanted to give other students the opportunity to rule, breaking the Alpha rules that had been set in stone for generations.

Because since Oakland Highschool was built, it has always been the Kings family that has ruled the school, even the town. The crown was always theirs, passed down like a birthright, but Princess had simply handed it back.

Some people hearing about what Princess Kings did were not happy about this.

The traditionalists whispered in the corners, eyes following her as she walked past, no longer wearing the badge of authority. But Princess didn’t care about the whispers. One of the main reasons Princess chose to step down was to follow her own path and not live by the Kings rules.

She was tired of the expectations and the rigid structure of her family’s legacy. The other way was to take care of her seven months pregnant girlfriend, who in less than two months they will be welcoming their quads. The weight of that responsibility was far heavier than any school title.

Princess has been dropping grades scores by the day, her focus slipping away from textbooks and toward ultrasound photos. After the first school exam, for the first time ever, Princess was number 2 in her class and number 2 in the whole school. For a Kings, that was practically a failure, but she barely blinked at the report card.

Well, she hasn’t been focusing on her studies like she used to.

Her mind was occupied with the clubhouse and the nursery. She was now relocating her game room to one of the other empty rooms in the clubhouse because she intend of changing the game room into a nursery room for the pups. Mostly half of the stuffs has been moved already, the gaming chairs, the balls, Jacuzzi, tennis table and monitors replaced by boxes of diapers and tiny onesies.

She was also trying to focus on the Friday night club and the new outside racer who keeps winning without buying or using any of Leo’s drugs. The underground scene was buzzing about it, and the lack of drug sales was hitting Leo’s pockets. Which Leo is making it tough for her, pulling her aside in the dark corners of the track and telling her to find a way to get rid of the new racer. Princess felt the pressure mounting from all sides, a storm brewing in the racing world that she wasn’t sure she could keep under control.

Also with Faye’s late night demands, the stress was reaching a breaking point. Princess had been proactive, after stocking everything necessary for a pregnant woman to crave for. She had bought bins of snacks, jars of sweets, and different types of crackers, asking them what they will like to eat when the cravings hits.

But even with a pantry full of food, Faye will still wake exhausted Princess up demanding for you something not in the house.

"Princess, are you awake?" Faye voice called out while still half asleep, checking for Princess voice. The room was dark, the only light coming from the moon filtering through the curtains.

Princess quietly opened her eyes, feeling the grit of exhaustion behind her eyelids. She close it again for a heartbeat, praying for a few more minutes of peace before answer her girlfriend.

"Yes, Cotton I’m awake now..." Princess mutter with sleepy voice, her arm reaching out to find Faye’s hand in the dark.

"I want pickles..." Faye said.

"We have pickle in the fridge, do you want me to go get it?" Princess said, already preparing her muscles to move. She could practically taste the vinegar just thinking about it.

"On pizza." Faye added.

Princess closed her eyes shut with full force, trying to hold it in. She lay there, her breath hitching as she was trying to hold in the Alpha in her because who the hell treats their partner like this?

Last week was a special salsa sauce which Princess had to drive out of town to find, searching through three different 24-hour grocers. Every single night finding different kind of craving. It was becoming a saga. Faye had gone from wanting pickles and cheese mixed together with tuna to eating raw pasta and ketchup. Faye once demanded for something that doesn’t exist, a specific brand of soda that hadn’t been made in ten years, and when Princess tells her she couldn’t find it, Faye starts playing the emotional card on her. Crying, saying Princess doesn’t love her enough or she will say if she wasn’t in the position Princess put her in she would have get it by herself.

Princess knew pregnancy cravings was sure to happen. She had been a diligent student, she read it, prepared for it, and she had expected it during the early stage. Even if it was expected in the last trimester, she never expected it to be like this.

Sometimes she wondered if Faye was doing it on purpose just to punish her, toy with her because it was already weighing Princess down, messing with her mentals and beauty sleep. Her reflection in the mirror was starting to show dark circles that no amount of Alpha stamina could hide.

"We have two leftovers pizzas in the fridge I can help you put pickles on them." Princess suggested, her voice hopeful.

"I want fresh ones, those ones are called leftovers for a reason... and extra cheesy the one you bought the last time wasn’t cheesy enough, it made me throw up..."

"That because you have been eating weird things lately, babe.. just go to sleep and tomorrow, I will take you to the shawarma place and you will eat something better.." Princess said with a soft voice, barely hoping Faye would reason with what she said, and sleep. She rubbed her face, her palms feeling the warmth of her skin.

Faye became quiet, and Princess held her breath. Princess thinking it might actually work, the moment she closes her eyes, the silence was broken.

Princess started hearing crying voice, not loud but a kind to pity. It was a soft, hitched sobbing that went straight to her heart.

Princess turned around to see Faye sitting up on the bed crying, her hands covering her face.

Princess switch on the light, the sudden brightness stinging her eyes. She moving close to her, wanting to calm her down, pulling Faye into her lap despite the large bump between them.

"Baby it’s okay, you don’t have to cry.. I will get your pickle pizza for you.." Princess said, her heart melting at the sight of the tears.

"Just say it, you don’t love me anymore, because if you do you won’t say such things like that to me... Where is the girl who said will be there for me?" Faye cried out, the moment Princess started calming her down. She looked up, her eyes swimming with tears. "Where is the girl who said will never get tired of me?" She added, her voice cracking.

"I’m here babe, don’t cry okay.. I will get you what you want just stop crying.."

After calming her down with soft whispers and kisses to her forehead, Princess search for her car keys on the nightstand. She put on her rubber ducky robe and indoor croc, not even bothering with real shoes. There was no need to get dress, Princess was now used in wearing her nightwear out in the middle of the night all because of her heavily pregnant girlfriend.

She looked ridiculous, a powerful Alpha in a ducky robe, but her pride had been traded for peace weeks ago.

"Pancake wait..." Faye calls out as Princess reached the door. Princess turned, hoping she had changed her mind, hoping she just wanted a hug instead.

"Don’t make the same mistakes like last time, I don’t like pineapple on my pizza and remember cheesy and pickles... also grab some donuts when coming back... I love you." Faye said, a small, watery smile touching her lips.

Hearing those I love you coming from her mouth lighten Princess up.

For a slight second, she forgot about all the stress she has been getting from her. The anger and the exhaustion vanished, replaced by that familiar warmth.

Even if she thought of not wanting more than four pups anymore because of the way Faye acts, those three words made her feel like she could drive across the country for a single donut if she had to.
