Chapter 11: Stuck Inside An Elevator(2)

"Are you planning on sleeping on my body?" Princess said, and immediately I stood up from her body. It was fucking awkward. I adjusted my jean jacket and avoided her eyes.

"The bulbs..." I tried to explain. My voice sounded stupid even to me. She picked up her book and crossed her legs like nothing happened.

"Never mind. I believe this elevator can hold 2000 pounds, and you are 125 pounds and I am 119 pounds, which makes a total of 244 pounds. This place can contain both of us. Don’t come close to me again, or I will assume you are trying to seduce me for a second time," she said.

The way she said it so calmly annoyed me more than if she had shouted.

"Are you kidding me? I never seduced you. I am sure you were the one who fucking enjoyed the sex because you were busy eating me like some hungry...."

"Tsk tsk tsk tsk tsk. I thought we agreed whatever happened in that room stayed in that room," she said.

Her eyes did not even move from the page.

"Well, you were the one who brought it up, saying I tried to seduce you... and how did you know what I weigh?"

"Just be quiet, please. I need to focus."

Focus. Focus on what. Acting like nothing happened. Acting like she did not have her mouth between my legs that night. Acting like she did not hold my thighs down while I begged her not to stop.

Oh bitch, you are making me mad. Maybe this is the day we will settle our scores. And I will bite your ear off.

After some time, I started feeling heat. It was slow at first. Just a little warmth under my collar. Then it spread. No ventilation or air. The walls felt closer. I tried fanning myself with my hand.

"Are you claustrophobic?" she said.

"I am not, but I am Alpha-phobic," I replied.

The moment I said that, she laughed. Not a small laugh. A real one. She finally closed her book.

"Again, you are admitting that you are scared of us Alphas."

"I did not admit anything."

"You said Alpha-phobic. You are fucking afraid, hahaha."

"More like I am allergic to one in particular. I am allergic to you," I said, pointing my fingers at her.

She just folded her hands, watching me talk like I was some show. Like she was entertained.

I stopped talking and continued to hand-fan myself. The air felt heavy. My shirt was sticking to my skin.

"Remove your jacket, even your pants if you want to breathe a little. Oakland is a sunny place. I don’t get why you wear heavy clothes. Look at me in a simple armless gown," she said.

I stared at her. I had not looked at her properly like this before. Not in good lighting. Not without anger covering my eyes. The gown stopped above her knees. Her shoulders were bare. Her collarbone visible. Her skin smooth.

I quickly looked away.

I did not want my mind playing games.

I reluctantly removed my jacket and unbuttoned my pants, but I did not remove them. I used my jacket to wipe the sweat off my face and chest.

"How long are they going to fix this elevator?" I muttered.

"Any moment from now it will be stable." She stood up and stretched herself. "I wanted to have a peaceful time inside here, but you ruined it by showing yourself."

"Oh sorry. Maybe next time I will check around to see if an Alpha named Princess is in the building," I said sarcastically.

She came closer to me. Each step slow.

"Hey, step away from me if you don’t want my fist on you," I said, moving backward.

I hit the wall behind me.

"Relax. I am not going to dip my tongue inside you," she said as she pushed me aside.

Her hand brushed my waist as she moved me. I realized I was standing behind the panel.

"I wasn’t thinking about kissing you," I said as she pulled a button.

"Okay, this is the end of whatever this is. Please, once again, stay away from me."

Whatever this is. She pressed something and stepped back. I stood there, breathing hard, trying to ignore the way my body reacted when she came close.

After some time, the doors opened. Fresh air hit my face. She stepped out like nothing happened.

I quickly stepped out too before the doors could close again and trap me inside with my thoughts.

"Hey babe, where were you? I have been looking for you for an hour now," Kiara said the moment she saw Princess, and she hugged her. Princess did not hesitate. She hugged her back.

"Oh darling, my grandpa called, so I was on the phone with him."

"For an hour plus?"

"You know how he is. Always loves talking to his favorite grandchild. But don’t worry, I will make up for it. Let’s go get those heels you wanted, huh, then the restaurant," Princess said.

Her voice changed. Soft. Sweet. Almost innocent.

"Okay babe, let me call Beam. She was also searching for you."

News flash. The Alpha princess is not just a cheater but also a liar.

I stood there watching her smile like she did not just lie smoothly. I do not understand why she just could not tell them she was inside the elevator reading the whole time. Why lie. Why make up stories. Why pretend.

Well, it is none of my fucking business.

I walked away before she could see me staring.

The next day at school was the same thing. I stared at the clock, waiting for closing time. Tick. Tick. Tick.

Every second felt personal. And finally. Time to go home, but not me.

I had to stay back for detention.

I dragged my feet to the classroom. My bag felt heavier than usual. My mood worse than usual.

The teacher in charge was late. She is usually the first to arrive, but I was the only one there. I sat down, hoping maybe today I would get lucky. Maybe detention would be canceled.

I waited. Five minutes. Ten minutes.

My heart started feeling lighter. Maybe she forgot. Maybe I was free.

The door opened. Princess entered.

She did not look surprised to see me.

She walked straight to the teacher’s table and sat down.

She made no announcement why she was here. She just sat there like she owned the place.

"Hello, what are you doing here?" I asked.

She looked up slowly.

"You are not supposed to be talking during detention. Find something to do. Work on your assignment or read. Exams are coming up. Be useful and stay quiet. Not a word, or I’ll extend your time."

I blinked. I actually blinked. I cannot believe this bitch.

I stared at her. So many thoughts ran through my head. Violent ones. Creative ones. Maybe I should carry this table and slam it on her head. Maybe I should just throw her through the window.

I kept staring at her like my stare was going to make her disappear. She did not even flinch.

"If you keep staring, I will increase your time," she muttered.
