Chapter 174: Chapter 134: So, Uncle Is That "Warrior

Su Yan, who had just been discharged from the military, also heard the commotion from the back kitchen. When he came out, he saw Su Zhuyun lying on the ground, his face covered in blood.

How could Su Yan possibly stand such a sight? He rushed forward and gave the three men a sound beating, leaving them moaning on the floor, their faces bruised and swollen.

"So Uncle is the ’Warrior’ that all of Wudu was buzzing about last night!" Yin Zheng exclaimed, clapping his hands excitedly.

"Hm? What are you talking about?" Su Chen asked, a little confused.

Yin Zheng didn’t explain. Instead, he pulled his phone out of his pocket, swiped through it for a moment, and handed it to Su Chen.

Su Chen saw it was a video. The star was his old man, Su Zhuyun. Judging by the angle, it must have been filmed by a customer at the restaurant last night.

When he saw his dad heroically shielding the girl behind him, a smile touched Su Chen’s lips.

But when he saw his dad get hit with several bottles, he felt a wave of rage surge from his chest...

The video ended with the police arriving on the scene to assess the situation, followed by an ambulance.

"Dad, are you okay now?" Su Chen asked, his voice laced with worry.

"I’m fine. It looks worse than it is. I wasn’t badly hurt. Taking those hits just left me a little sore. The doctor said I’ll be all better in ten to fifteen days at most!" Su Zhuyun said with a smile, patting his own chest.

Confirming that Su Zhuyun was okay, Su Chen finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"Oh, right. Mom, what about Su Yan? How is he? And where are those three morons now?" Su Chen just then remembered his cousin had been "taken for tea" by the police.

"Xiaoyan is fine. He just spent some time cooperating with the investigation last night. I only found out he was already home after I called you this morning. At this hour, he’s probably still catching up on sleep!"

"As for those three you mentioned, they’re in custody now. I’m not too clear on the specific details."

Chen Shufen had also been unbelievably busy last night. After the incident, she not only had to clean up the mess at the hot pot shop but also had to take care of Su Zhuyun at the hospital. She hadn’t had a proper night’s sleep since it happened.

"Mom, you’ve been up all night too. Go home and get some rest. I’ll take it from here," Su Chen said, looking at Chen Shufen’s bloodshot eyes.

Chen Shufen didn’t stand on ceremony. She nodded. "Alright, I’ll go home and rest. I still have to go to the hot pot shop later. I’m leaving your dad in your hands!"

At the side, Yin Zheng quickly called over one of his bodyguards and arranged for a car to take Chen Shufen home.

After Chen Shufen left, Su Chen gave Yin Zheng a meaningful look and headed out of the hospital room.

It was the same familiar stairwell. A cloud of smoke swirled, revealing Su Chen’s slightly cold face.

"Yin Zheng, do me a favor and investigate those guys."

After all, Yin Zheng was far more influential in Wudu than he was. This sort of thing was a trivial matter for him; all he had to do was make a phone call and wait for the results.

"Sure thing. I’ll have an answer for you in half an hour, tops!" Yin Zheng agreed without a second thought.

If someone’s father was beaten to a pulp and they didn’t hit back, Yin Zheng would look down on them, no matter how powerful they were.

Su Chen’s eye-for-an-eye mentality was right up his alley.

"Thanks," Su Chen said, clapping him on the arm. He pulled a white pack with only five or six cigarettes left from his pocket and tossed it to Yin Zheng.

"Whoa, so generous!" Yin Zheng caught it smoothly. He examined it in his hand for a good moment before putting it in his pocket.

"I’m heading back to the room. Let me know the second you have the results," Su Chen said before turning and leaving the stairwell.

After Su Chen left, Yin Zheng took out his phone and made a call. He wasn’t calling someone to investigate the matter; instead, he was reporting the situation to Jiangyang, who was far away in the Imperial Capital. As for investigating those three, that would only take a minute.

The call connected quickly. Yin Zheng explained the whole story and also sent over the video of Su Zhuyun.

"Give Su Chen whatever he needs, but be careful to mind your limits. Don’t overstep your bounds."

Jiangyang’s final words were a wake-up call for him. ’I was going to apply some pressure myself, but if I handle it all... what’s left for Su Chen to do?’

’He has to be the one to get his own back!’

’Sigh... I’d better just get the full story on those three first and then decide.’

Yin Zheng sighed, then made a few more calls, saying only a few short words before hanging up.
