Chapter 172: Chapter 134: So, Uncle Is the ’Warrior’ After All
"Boss, someone’s here to pick you up!" The flight attendant hurried over from the cockpit before the plane had even come to a complete stop on the tarmac.
"A pickup?" Su Chen glanced at the flight attendant, a little surprised. He figured the airport authorities must have asked her to inform him.
Through the window, Su Chen could faintly make out several cars parked on the empty stretch of tarmac. Unfortunately, the plane was already taxiing into its parking spot, so he couldn’t get a clear look.
"I see. You can go now." Su Chen already had a good idea of who arranged this.
After all, besides Jiangyang, no one else knew about his trip.
At that thought, the corners of Su Chen’s mouth lifted into a faint, fleeting smile.
As the cabin door slowly opened and the ground crew secured the airstairs, Su Chen strode down, followed by Chen Fei.
The moment he stepped off the plane, Su Chen saw a fleet of three or four matching Mercedes-Benzes. In addition to the sedans, there was also a top-of-the-line Mercedes luxury van.
"Mr. Su," a handsome young man called out as he hurried over to greet him.
"And you are?" Su Chen asked curiously. Seeing the young man’s calm and composed demeanor, not to mention the line of cars behind him, he guessed he must be the scion of a wealthy family as well.
"My name is Yin Zheng. Brother Yang sent me to pick you up and help out with anything you need." As Yin Zheng spoke, he was also sizing Su Chen up. ’Anyone who warrants a personal call from a big shot like Jiangyang of the Imperial Capital must be a real VIP,’ he thought.
"That was thoughtful of Jiangyang," Su Chen remarked casually.

But Su Chen’s words startled Yin Zheng. Judging by his tone, this man’s relationship with Jiangyang was anything but ordinary.
Su Chen’s gaze lingered on Yin Zheng for a moment before a flash of insight struck him. He asked tentatively, "Your surname is Yin? Is your father the one from ST?"
Yin Zheng looked at Su Chen with some surprise, then nodded. A hint of curiosity flickered in his eyes; he hadn’t expected Su Chen to guess his background just from his name.
The reason Su Chen was able to guess Yin Zheng’s background was mainly because his father was so famous. He was the perfect example of someone who loved luxury cars more than his career, having turned down the chairmanship of a hundred-billion-dollar corporation to start his own business for the sake of his passion.
From Yin Zheng’s father, Su Chen truly understood the meaning of "rich and willful." Never mind the mansions—the man had also founded his own supercar club and owned a first-division league sports team. He was the epitome of someone living life on their own terms.
A cold gust of wind blew past, making Yin Zheng shiver. "Mr. Su, we should get going."
"Haha, no need to call me Mr. Su. We’re both young, so you don’t have to be so formal. Just call me Su Chen."
Yin Zheng paused for a second, then broke into a laugh. "Alright!"
He then waved Su Chen into the car. As for Chen Fei, he tactfully took the front passenger seat.
"So, where are we headed?" Yin Zheng asked, tilting his head.

The question caught Su Chen off guard. It seemed his mother hadn’t told him the hospital’s location. "Hold on, let me make a call and ask."
He took out his phone and called Chen Shufen. The phone rang until it automatically disconnected without anyone picking up. Frowning slightly, Su Chen tried calling again.
This time, the call connected after just two rings.
Just as Su Chen was about to speak, he heard Chen Shufen’s voice on the other end. "Hello, Xiaochen, what’s up?"
"Mom, I’m at Jiangbei Airport now. Which hospital are you and Dad at again?"
"We’re at the Army Hospital, surgery department, fifth floor, room X."
"Okay, got it." After hanging up, Su Chen said to the driver, "To the Army Hospital!"
The car started up slowly and drove out of the airport.
It was then that Yin Zheng asked curiously, "Is your mother in the hospital? What seems to be the problem? I can help find a top specialist in that field."
As the heir to one of the most prominent families in Wudu, arranging something like that was a trivial matter for him.
Su Chen shook his head slightly...

Yin Zheng thought Su Chen was refusing his kind offer and was about to speak when Su Chen’s voice cut in, "It’s not my mom, it’s my old man. He apparently got into a fight and ended up in the hospital. I’m not too clear on the details myself. We’ll find out when we get there."
"Alright."
They got directly onto the inner ring expressway after leaving the airport. Thanks to the convoy of luxury Mercedes-Benzes, other drivers consciously made way for them. A trip that would normally take over forty minutes was completed in less than thirty.
"Huh? When did you prepare these fruit baskets?" As soon as Su Chen got out of the car, he saw two men who looked like bodyguards standing next to Yin Zheng, each carrying a massive fruit basket.
"Well, your father is in the hospital. I couldn’t very well show up empty-handed, could I?"
’He had a point, but were such huge fruit baskets really necessary?’ Su Chen estimated they had to be twenty or thirty pounds each, and he’d bought two of them. ’How long would it take to eat all that?’
Still, it was the thought that counted, so Su Chen didn’t say anything more. Following his mother’s directions, they asked for help along the way and eventually found the room.
It was a private room. Just as Su Chen was about to push the door open, he glanced through the small window on the door and saw his father, Su Zhuyun, lying leisurely on the hospital bed while his mother, Chen Shufen, fed him sliced fruit...
The scene was the very picture of domestic bliss.
"Hm? Why aren’t you going in?" Yin Zheng, who was right behind him, asked curiously when he noticed Su Chen frozen at the door.
Su Chen gave a wry smile and stepped aside, giving Yin Zheng a clear view of the couple’s lovey-dovey moment inside the room.
"Ahem. Your father looks to be in fine shape. Why don’t we go have a smoke by the stairwell before we go in?" Yin Zheng realized it wasn’t a good time to enter and quickly changed the subject.
