Zack sat to the side, taking a statement, but Yuna Rhodes spent the entire time shirking responsibility.
SLAM—
He finally lost his patience, slamming the table as he shot to his feet. "You’re an adult! Don’t you know whether you did it or not?! The victim has been cursed out by countless people because of you! Thousands upon thousands of hateful comments online were all directed at her. Yesterday, the moment she stepped off campus, she was swarmed by a pack of reporters shoving cameras in her face, telling her to go die!"
"Did you ever think about the severity of the consequences when you made that post?"
Yuna Rhodes flinched and mumbled, "I didn’t do it on purpose. I never thought it would get this serious."
Hearing this, a vein bulged on Zack’s forehead. He opened his mouth to say something, but when he saw Yuna Rhodes’s head bowed with not a trace of remorse on her face, he knew that anything he said would be pointless.

Chloe Sinclair, the victim, was being verbally assaulted by thousands, yet the real culprit was still getting away with it. Even with ironclad evidence, not only did she refuse to confess, but she didn’t feel the slightest bit of remorse.

Zack sighed and gathered his notes.

Instantly, the expressions of both Zack and the officers monitoring from outside turned grim.
After a moment, Zack suddenly scoffed. "Are you aware that threatening a law enforcement officer also carries legal consequences?"
Yuna Rhodes shook her head, her face now completely blank. "I didn’t confess, it doesn’t... it doesn’t count..."
A smile touched Zack’s lips. "Didn’t you just confess with your own mouth a moment ago?"
With that, he glanced up at the surveillance camera on the ceiling.
Seeing this, Yuna Rhodes looked up as well, and her face instantly turned ashen.
’It’s over!’
She collapsed into the chair like a boneless heap, the light completely gone from her eyes.
Zack felt no sympathy as he walked straight out of the interrogation room.
However, the moment he stepped out, a colleague came running over in a panic.
Zack asked, "What’s wrong?"
His colleague said, "It’s bad. More negative news about the victim has just surfaced online."
Without a word, Zack pulled out his phone and saw a glaringly obvious trending topic leap out at him.
