Chapter 119: Chapter 119: A Gathering of Experts

"Li Yang, don’t take it to heart. Wei Jiang is just a bit blunt..." Shao Jie couldn’t help but say, worried that Li Yang and Wei Jiang would get into a direct conflict.

"I know." Li Yang smiled, but he still felt a little irritated.

’Who would feel good after being lectured by someone they just met?’

’Me, causing trouble?’ He shook his head inwardly.

...

As time passed, two King Level Cultivators had yet to arrive. One of them was Zheng Hu.

A little over twenty minutes later, they both finally arrived.

Zheng Hu glanced at Li Yang upon his arrival.

He had found a Token in the Relic Space that Li Yang had discovered. This Token granted access to the second Relic Space on the island.

After he entered, he found the Relic Space was filled with treasures. He collected some, and then a consciousness suddenly materialized.

The consciousness asked him who had discovered the Relic Space where the Token was found. It told him that if he brought that person over and killed them, all the treasures within this Relic Space would be his.

Upon hearing this demand, Zheng Hu, of course, agreed without a moment’s hesitation.

’Li Yang, our enmity doesn’t run so deep that one of us must die. But for the treasures in the Relic Space, this time, your life will be the key to my success,’ Zheng Hu thought to himself.

However, he only glanced at Li Yang for a moment before looking away.

SWOOSH!

Just then, Shao Jie flew before the crowd.

"Everyone, our leader has given the order. We’re heading to the island first," Shao Jie announced.

Shen Xuan hadn’t made an appearance, so it was unclear if he would be joining them this time.

The team assembled. One person stayed behind while the other eight boarded a fighter jet and departed swiftly.

......

「Two hours later, they arrived at their destination.」

Li Yang, Shao Jie, and the others all flew out.

"The people from Celestial Origin Palace have arrived."

"That very young-looking man is Li Yang."

"A King Level at eighteen... Li Yang must have stumbled upon a massive opportunity!"

"He’s only at Early King Level. That’s nothing special."

"Don’t underestimate Li Yang. The Celestial Origin Palace Master, Shen Xuan, gave him a Seven-Star Fruit. With that fruit’s help, he’s already at least a third of the way through the Early King Level stage. Among Early King Level Cultivators, he’s definitely not weak."

"Shen Xuan didn’t come this time?"

"Not sure. But it’s better if he didn’t. That gives us a better chance."

......

As the people from Celestial Origin Palace arrived, the King Level Cultivators from other countries turned their gazes toward them. Some began to murmur amongst themselves, with a few discussing Li Yang in particular.

Aside from Li Yang, the youngest King Level in the crowd was already twenty-eight years old.

’So many people.’

Li Yang’s gaze also swept forward, taking in the sight of over one hundred and ten King Level experts!

Every single King Level was a being on par with Land Immortals, impervious even to cannon fire.

Li Yang’s gaze fell upon the most prominent faction: the contingent from the United States. They had nine King Level experts, the largest group present aside from Hua Country.

Their leader was a tall, blond man who looked to be in his thirties. He had a rugged face, and his eyes held a hint of untamable arrogance.

"Li Yang, that blond man leading the group from the United States is Golden Charlie, the second-strongest expert on Earth, second only to our leader," Shao Jie whispered, flying beside Li Yang.

Li Yang looked toward Golden Charlie.

Golden Charlie had reached the Late King Level twenty years ago, having awakened a Fire Element ability.

There were only three Late King Level experts on Earth. Golden Charlie had fought the other two and defeated them, making him the widely recognized second-strongest expert in the world.

"That’s Alison from Europe... and over there is Nibel from Sania..."

Alison and Nibel were also at the Late King Level.

To think that all three of Earth’s Late King Level Cultivators had come to the island!

In addition to them, there were numerous Mid-King Level experts as well!

At this point, Early King Level strength seemed utterly insignificant.

After all, between the minor stages of the King Level, a single stage difference meant a five-fold gap in power!

A Late King Level expert was twenty-five times stronger than an Early King Level one! A single attack from them could very well insta-kill an Early King Level Cultivator!

Li Yang and the others made their way over to where the Hua Country Cultivators were gathered.

It wasn’t just King Levels; numerous Celestial Level experts were also gathered here.

With such a great opportunity at stake, they couldn’t resist the urge to come and try their luck.

If they could obtain a treasure that was effective even for King Level Cultivators, the benefits would be unimaginable!

"Shao Jie, now that the people from your Celestial Origin Palace have arrived, let’s try again. Let’s see if we can open the Relic Space."

Seeing Li Yang and the others arrive, Golden Charlie from the United States flew out and called.

They had tried once an hour ago but were still unable to open it.

Now, with the addition of the Celestial Origin Palace’s members, another dozen or so King Levels had arrived. Perhaps this time they could open it.

"Alright." Shao Jie smiled.

"Everyone, attack together!"

SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH!

King Level experts flew into the sky one after another, a dense swarm of figures.

Powerful auras radiated from each of them.

As their auras combined, the very space around them began to tremble violently.

After a full minute of trembling, one or two incredibly fine cracks appeared in the void.

But that was the limit; no more cracks appeared.

"It’s still not opening!"

"How is this possible? Why is this Relic Space so difficult to open?"

"If we can’t open it, how are we supposed to get inside?"

Seeing this, the faces of the many King Level experts in the sky turned grim.

There were only about one hundred and fifty King Level experts on Earth in total, and nearly one hundred and thirty of them were present. Although some were still missing, they were mostly at the Early King Level. The people gathered here... represented more than ninety percent of the planet’s total King Level strength!

It didn’t matter how many treasures a Relic Space held; if they couldn’t get inside, it was all useless.

Li Yang was watching as well; he hadn’t revealed his own strength during the attempt.

After all, their combined effort had only managed to make the Relic Space manifest slightly. Even if he revealed his Peak of King Level strength, it would be impossible for him to open it alone.

’It’s this hard to open?’

As he was thinking this to himself, Soul Ink’s voice suddenly echoed in his mind.

"Li Yang, are these the majority of the Cultivators on your Earth? Weak. Far too weak."

"With this level of power, even if you made contact with the greater Cosmos, the Human Race Saint Hall would simply dispatch personnel to govern you directly. You would have no autonomy whatsoever."

Hearing this, Li Yang asked in confusion, "Soul Ink, what is the Human Race Saint Hall? What do you mean they’ll dispatch personnel to govern us? And what do you mean by autonomy?"

His heart sank. Based on what Soul Ink was saying, even if Earth made contact with the Cosmos now, the outcome would be grim.

"Li Yang, you must understand this: whether a civilization is worthy of respect depends on one thing and one thing only—its potential and its strength!"
