Chapter 244: Avoiding Problems
It doesn’t take very long for me to find a clothing shop, but I didn’t consider money in this situation.
Standing in front of the mirror with dark black pants, a shirt, and this special robe... Makes me feel different.
As much as this suits me, I don’t have the money for it in the slightest. This is definitely going to be a bit more of a struggle than I originally anticipated.
Before I had Eliza to help out with this a bit, but now it is just me.
Not that being on my own is a problem by any means. Honestly I think being on my own is kind of nice more often than not.
There’s nothing to worry about since the girls would be somewhere safe, I can fight all out without any sort of restrictions, and I.... Hmm.
The last bit of that thought kind of just drifted away.
I step out from the changing room to see the woman behind the counter waving at me.
Of course I make my way over to figure out how I’m going to go about this whole paying situation.
"How much will all this be?" I ask with curiosity in my voice.
"Oh. A woman already paid for you," She answers with a smile on her face.
"Huh. I guess I’ll be on my way then," I say before turning around.
I don’t remember seeing anyone else in here when I first entered the shop. The only one who might possibly have a clue that I’m alive would be Lust.
She is also the only one who might even just show up out of nowhere since it is what she does.
Yet, she hasn’t shown herself once. That is a bit out of character for her.
As I exit the shop I feel a light tap on my shoulder; Of course I turn towards the person trying to get my attention.
As soon as I see her I realize it definitely is Lust but she has shorter hair compared to when I last saw her. She doesn’t look like she is that surprised either.
"So the wings weren’t clipped after all. I expected as much," Lust says before starting to walk.
"How did you even know I am alive?" I ask while putting my hands into my pockets.
"I’ve been searching throughout the entire realm for months now," Lust answers.
"Months?" I question.
"You’ve been dead or gone or whatever for 3 months. I guess you wouldn’t know much about that," Lust responds as she looks back towards me.
3 months would definitely explain why my hair has grown and why everything feels so damn different. I don’t think the world itself is the same one I remember.
How much has changed? King Albus was an important figure but he’s dead now.
Who would be the next important person to go after for any sort of information? That is the main question at hand here before anything else.
"Not in the slightest. I need help though Lust," I say with a serious tone.
"You want my help? I guess I don’t mind helping the dragon out again," Lust teases a bit before standing in front of me.
"Yes. Can you give me a target or something that I can go after?" I ask.
She goes silent for a moment.
"Hmm. I’d say that you should find Alice. She will be quite the helpful assistant in your endeavors," Lust answers while playing around with her hair.
"Helpful how?" I question with curiosity in my voice.
"She holds a lot of useful information about a lot of different things. More than I care to share right now. Go find the tavern here, you’ll find her there," Lust responds before walking away.
So I need to find this Alice now? I didn’t really think much about having to talk with someone else. Lust I can handle since we’ve talked plenty in the past, but this is a random demon.
A whole realm full of them.... I don’t really know how long it’ll take for me to get through all of these damn realms.
I still have to get through 6 more before I maybe find the answers I’m looking for, right?
The sovereign is in the last realm and it isn’t easy to get there at all. Especially with the influence Chaos has over everything here.
That’s exactly why it isn’t easy to just get up and go to the realm of the sovereign.
Ugh. All of this is a huge pain in the ass.
Regardless of that I begin making my way through the busy streets of Leone, listening to bits and pieces of chatter amongst the demons.
Mostly it is talks about a group of girls in some other kingdom who have been making a lot of noise.
It reminds me of the girls quite a bit, maybe it is them.
But eventually I manage to find this tavern.
I didn’t really expect to be entering a tavern again... But sometimes you don’t really get much of a choice in these things. It’ll be interesting to see what awaits me inside of here.

I open up the door to the sight of a full tavern with people all laughing and drinking.
It is a real lovely place here. I don’t know how I’ll even find this Alice person that Lust told me about. There’s a lot more people than I originally expected in here.
With that in mind I make my way over to a table to sit down for the time being. The moment I reach the table I start to scan the room for anyone that sticks out.
After looking around for a little while I don’t see a damn thing since I don’t even think Lust gave me a description of this girl.
I lean back in my chair as I run one of my hands through my hair.
I should’ve asked her for a description of the girl before she walked away from me. Now I’m just sitting here idle with no way to find the person I’m looking for.
Before I can get up, a man wearing a leather jacket with short black hair, red eyes, and who appears to be quite tall... Joins me at the table.
"Hello friend. I don’t think I’ve seen you around before," He says with a weird smile on his face.
"I don’t come around often," I reply with a bit of a cold tone.
"No need to be like that man. I just like to get to know people around here," He says with a laid back tone.
He lets out a small chuckle before leaning back himself.
"My names Alfie," He introduces himself.
"Okay Alfie. I don’t really make it a habit to give out my name to random people," I reply.
I notice a few eyes lingering towards me for a moment before disappearing.
"I see your observant and not the biggest people person but I can tell you are here for a reason friend," Alfie says while taking notice of my gaze.
It is kind of hard to ignore someone like him... Especially when I have no clue who I’m really looking for here. I don’t have a face to put to the name at all.
This guy is also not dumb by any means so I need to be cautious with him.
"Yeah. I’m looking for someone," I reply while still keeping my guard up.
"If you tell me who I might be able to spot them in the tavern," Alfie says while turning around.
He looks back towards everyone in the tavern before shifting his attention back to me.
"Alice is the name of the person I’m looking for," I reply, a serious tone immediately back in my voice.
His entire expression completely shifts to one of fear as if I just mentioned some sort of monster. Yet, he doesn’t get up and walk away from the table.
"I never expected anyone to come in looking for her. Yeah, she’s here," Alfie says as he looks down at his hands.
"Can you point her out to me then?" I ask nicely while standing up from the table.
He doesn’t move for a moment but then he suddenly points towards a girl in the distance who is also wearing some sort of black leather coat. It has a dark red skull on it with some sort of writing I can’t understand.
Short white hair, she is pretty short with a nice figure.... And I’m guessing she’ll have red eyes as well.
Demons don’t really appear to have different eye colors around here. At least I know exactly who I’m looking for now.
It is about time I go over and introduce myself to her before the opportunity disappears. I also don’t know how reliable she’s going to be since Lust gave me the information.
I know I asked her for help... Just she isn’t always a good source.
