Chapter 40: I’m Watching You

Thea folded her list and tucked it into her purse. "Today I will get them.."

She headed to the bathroom for a refreshing shower. Emerging from the shower, Thea wrapped a towel around her hair and another around her body, the towel wrapped tightly around her torso, accentuating the curves of her breasts and hips, and tucked in between her breasts, revealing a subtle glimpse of cleavage. Her hair clung to her neck, framing her face.

Thea caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror as she walked by. Her eyes were drawn to her chest, where her breasts were full and round, perky and firm.

The sight brought back memories of Charlotte’s admiration.

Charlotte’s words replayed in Thea’s mind: "Damn, Thea, your body is stunning! Your breasts are so full and round... I wish I had your body!"

"Charlotte, that’s enough..."Thea murmured. Her voice trembled slightly as she added,"You’re making me blush."

But Charlotte’s admiration only intensified, her words spilling out in a fervent torrent. "No, I mean it, Thea! Your body is absolute perfection. I’m so jealous of your curves, your breasts... every inch of you is stunning!" Thea’s face burned with a deepening blush, her eyes dropping in embarrassment even as a secret thrill coursed through her veins.

Thea recalled the look of envy in Charlotte’s eyes, the tone of admiration in her voice. A faint blush rose to Thea’s cheeks as she stood there, lost in thought, her eyes fixed on her reflection.

She gazed at her reflection, her eyes widening in surprise as she took in the faint blush that had risen to her cheeks. "Did I blush just now?" she thought, "Thea, what are you thinking?"

A soft, questioning smile played on her lips as she turned away from the mirror.

With a gentle shake of her head, she walked over to her closet to get dressed, leaving her blushing reflection behind.

Thea descended the stairs, her water jar in hand, and made her way to the kitchen. She was dressed in comfortable home clothes.

As she entered the kitchen, she began preparing a light meal, the sizzle of vegetables and the aroma of cooking food filling the air.

Thea filled her water jar and headed back to her room. She slipped into a comfortable, fitted white top with a round-neckline, pairing it with a pair of well-worn, dark blue jeans.

Thea picked up her purse and headed to her grandma’s room to say goodbye. "Grandma, I’m off to the restaurant today.." she said, bending down to give her grandma a gentle hug.

"I’ve prepared some dishes for you, and I’ll make sure to bring you some dessert from the restaurant later. Today I might get late, as I have to buy something for my painting."

Her grandma’s eyes sparkled with warmth as she looked up at Thea, her face creasing into a soft smile. "Be careful, dear.." she said, her voice low and soothing. Thea smiled back, feeling a surge of love and appreciation for her grandma. "I will, Grandma.." she replied, giving her grandma’s hand a gentle squeeze before heading out the door.

Thea put on her apron and dove into the lunch service, working alongside Mrs. Evelyn . Together, they expertly managed the crowded restaurant, taking orders, serving dishes, and handling payments with a seamless efficiency.

Once the dinner chaos calmed, Thea turned to Mrs. Evelyn, who was busy wiping down the countertop.

"Aunt Evelyn, I have to buy some painting materials. Can I go now?"

Mrs. Evelyn glanced at the clock, she prompted Thea to hurry. "Yes, yes, go now! The shop will be closing soon..."

"I will come fast as soon as possible.." Thea replied, already turning to leave.

Thea entered the stationery shop, her eyes scanning the shelves for the art supplies she needed. After making her selections, she paid at the counter. Just as she was about to exit, the sight of a new bakery across the street caught her attention.

"This is a new bakery shop.."she couldn’t control herself and surrendered to temptation, pushing open the bakery door. Rows of cakes of different flavours , vibrant cupcakes, and delicate macarons lined the shelves, making her mouth water. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

Thea’s self-control melted away as she gave in to the irresistible treats, choosing a variety of sweets for herself and her grandmother. Among the array of delights, one show-stopping black forest cake caught her eye, its velvety texture making it the ideal gift for Mrs. Evelyn.

After returning to the restaurant, she handed Mrs. Evelyn the beautifully wrapped dessert. "Aunt Evelyn, I bought this for you.."

"Oh, dear, you shouldn’t have gone to such trouble," she said, her voice soft and appreciative. "But thank you, dear. That’s very sweet of you."

By the time she had arrived at the restaurant..it was about to close the restaurant..So she went home after handing her the dessert.

Thea stepped into the living room, and her gaze fell upon her grandmother, Grace, seated serenely on the couch. "Were you waiting for me Grandma?"

Grandma Grace’s face broke into a mischievous smile. "No, who said I was waiting for you? I’m waiting for pastries!"

Thea’s eyes sparkled with playful hurt as she dramatically clutched her heart. "Grandma, I’m hurt!"

"Let’s see ..what have you bought for me?" Thea opened the box, revealing the assortment of pastries she had bought.

"Ta-da!" she announced. Grandma Grace’s eyes sparkled as she took in the sight of her favorite treats.

Thea smiled, happy to have pleased her grandmother. "Grandma, Aunt Evelyn gave you some soup. Would you like to try it now?" she asked, holding up the container.

"Mmm, it smells delicious!" .

"There’s a new bakery shop opened, so I thought of bringing something for us to try.."

She set the box of pastries down on the coffee table, next to the bag of painting supplies.

"Go ahead and have your dinner, dear. I warmed it up for you just before you got here. We’ll save the desserts for afterwards."

"Okay, Grandma!" Thea said with a laugh. "Don’t even think about having those desserts before I come back - I’m watching you!"
