Chapter 133: He Has Quiet A Good Taste

From her vantage point, she observed the way Ryder’s face lit up when he explained a cooking technique to Emerson and the way his lips curled up when he smiled.

As the savory aromas of Ryder’s cooking wafted through the kitchen, Thea’s thoughts wandered back to Scotland, and the unspoken emotions that lingered between them.

"How long, Elder Brother Ryder, until the meal is ready?" Lydia and Melanie walked into the kitchen, their faces lighting up with excitement. "Mmm, something smells amazing in here!" Lydia exclaimed, her eyes scanning the kitchen.

They walked over to sit with Thea, their faces still flushed with excitement. "Elder Brother Ryder can really cook," Melanie commented, her voice filled with wonder. "It’s unbelievable. We’re lucky that Grandpa is here, or we wouldn’t get to enjoy the delicious food he makes."

"Yes," Lydia said with a smile. "Melanie, if Grandpa hadn’t been here, we might have never discovered Elder Brother Ryder’s hidden talent for cooking."

Elizabeth walked into the kitchen and asked, "Ryder, can you cook?" She looked at the dishes he was preparing and added, "Son, when did you learn to cook?"

"In Scotland, probably."

Elizabeth’s gaze lingered on the spread of dishes, her expression softening. Not wanting to embarrass her son further, she shifted her attention to the others. "Alright, everyone! Let’s gather at the dining table."

She made her way to the table, beckoning the others to follow.Thea rose from her seat, joining Elizabeth to help serve the dishes. Together, they efficiently arranged the plates and utensils.

"Lydia, Melanie! Come help set the table." Elizabeth called out, smiling at the twins.

The girls hurried over to assist, and Elizabeth added, "Emerson, dear, would you please go call the others to come and eat?"

Emerson nodded enthusiastically. "Okay, Aunty!" she chimed, before skipping out of the room to gather the rest of the family.

Ryder carefully placed the finished dishes onto the serving platters.

Elder Edward’s eyes widened in surprise as he surveyed the impressive spread before him. "Ryder, did you prepare all of this by yourself?" he asked, his tone laced with astonishment.

Ryder nodded modestly, a hint of a smile on his face. "Yes, Grandfather."

Intrigued, Elder Edward picked up his fork and took a tentative bite. As the flavors danced on his palate, his expression transformed from curiosity to approval.

"Hmm..." he murmured, savoring the flavors. "Not bad at all."

Elder Edward continued, "You should cook more to improve. Practice makes perfect."

The others eagerly followed Elder Edward’s lead, sampling the dishes and offering their praise.

"Brother Ryder, this is amazing!" Emerson exclaimed.

The next day...

"Ryan is attending a blind date?"

When Thea learned of this news, Charlotte was practically going to blow up.

"Aren’t you finding a way to stop him from attending the blind date?"

By the time Charlotte reached Sterling Steak Co., it was already six o’clock. Ryan was present there but his blind date were yet to arrive.

"He already has someone he likes yet he dares to come here for a blind date."

He noticed her arrival as soon as she stepped past the entrance.

Of course, she, too, saw him at a glance. Their eyes met for a second before she quickly averted her gaze, proudly lifted her face, and strode into the restaurant as though she had a prior appointment and did not come for him.

She soon found a spot conducive for spying on Ryan and his blind date where she sat down and randomly ordered a cold beverage. She patiently waited for her blind date while surreptitiously observing the pair opposite her.

She hasn’t seen her face yet..She must admit, the woman facing her Ryan was rather easy on the eye : a pretty-looking and well-bred young lady.

She seemed to be quite the wife-material and did not look capable of bullying or abusing others at all!

This knowledge got Charlotte pouting in frustration but what made her most depressed was that her Ryan seemed to be quite fond of his blind date. He had maintained a gentlemanly smile throughout when speaking to the woman, unlike how he usually treated her - cold and even fierce at times!

Tsk!Tsk!

Filled with pent-up frustrations, she turned her head back only to see an exceedingly handsome chap standing before her.

The guy stared at her with a smirk on his face, which seemed to show on his brows, too. The glint in his eyes, high nose bridge, and sexy lips all added hints of unruliness to his innate devilish charm. Why does this face... seem so familiar?

’Where have I seen his face?’

"Nash Foster?!" she exclaimed, her voice laced with shock. She stared at him dumbly, her mouth agape. "Why is it you?"

Carelessly tossing his backpack onto the couch beside him, Nash lazily sat down in the seat across from her. He fired a question back at her, his tone nonchalant.

"Why can’t it be me?"

She felt a headache coming on as she held her forehead, her eyes still fixed on Nash.

Of course, one thing she had to admit was that this Young chap in front of her was handsome! Heartbreakingly handsome!

On the other end, the young guy had already caught Ryan’s attention the moment he sat down at Charlotte’s table.

So the guy she likes is him?

At the thought of this plausibility, he could not help frowning and his deep-set eyes darkened considerably.

"Is he the one you like?" asked Nash as he looked past his shoulders to take a gander at that man.

Charlotte kept her silence while sipping on her juice. Her gaze somehow would always land on Ryan’s dashing profile as she nervously observed his movements and even the most minute changes.

"You like him.. Right.?" Nash asked, his voice laced with amusement, his eyes sparkling with mischief. He smirked evilly at her. "Interesting!"

Charlotte’s cheeks flushed as she stuttered, "H-How did you know that?" Her expression shifted, revealing a shy embarrassment, as if he had uncovered a deep, dark secret.

Nash leaned back, his grin widening. "He’s the legendary figure and youngest child of the Harrington family, while you, Charlotte, are the daughter of the eldest son and sole young miss of the Wright family. You two have known each other for a long time... Sorry, but with my IQ, I’m still capable of analyzing that relationship of yours!"

Charlotte’s eyes widened in surprise. "How can you assume correctly?!" she questioned, pointing at his nose playfully.

But her playful gesture took an unexpected turn. As soon as she stuck her finger out, Nash stretched out his head, opened his mouth, and without hesitation sucked on it.

Charlotte’s eyes froze, her face burning with shock.

"What are you doing?! Get your mouth off-"

It shocked Charlotte so badly that her eyes bulged wide as she tried to pull her finger out. Alas, it was to no avail. His mouth clamped on it too tightly

Those alluring orbs of Nash darkened and burmed at the sight of her tuming scarlet in embarrassment from the wet and scalding sensation on her finger. His lips curled into a smirk before he finally parted his lips to release her finger.

"Rascal.. pervert" cursed Charlotte with crimson cheeks as she hastily reached for the wet napkin beside her hand and rubbed furiously at the finger which the guy had sucked on. Throughout, she was still running her mouth away, "You’re totally a pervert!! Asshole-"

On the other hand, Ryan’s brows could not help twitching at the sight of her with the young lad. With his eyes blazing with such fury and his countenance instantly turning frigid, it seemed as though the man was about to flare up any time. It seemed that he had never expected the two to have reached such an intimate stage.

How insolent of this girl to be dating!!

"What’s the matter?"Susan asked out of concern upon noticing his odd behavior. She then followed his line of vision and looked at Charlotte’s end with a smile. "Someone you know?"

"Mm."

He responded in his deep voice, "My friend."

"Is that so?" She was slightly surprised. "Do you have to go over to say hello then?"

"No need!" refused the man flatly with much indifference.

Her lips hooked up. "Is that her boyfriend?"

"No!" He coldly denied.

"No?" The woman chuckled. "They look quite intimate there, though!"

The mention of their intimacy got his sharp eyes turning increasingly cold.
