Zack Wallace found a bomb in Alexander Summers’s room.

In other words, Damian Howard had prepared two plans. The sniper on shore was just one of them; Damian also had someone install a bomb on the yacht.

“Master, I’ll go find someone to dismantle it.” Zack’s forehead broke out in cold sweat as he took out his phone, ready to call for help.

“It’s no use,” Alexander’s voice was cold and indifferent, “Even if you dismantle this one, how can you be sure there aren’t other bombs on this yacht?”

Zack’s voice tightened, “Master Xander, let’s just go!”

What Zack feared was not the bomb itself, but Damian’s determination to put Alexander to death.

They could understand Damian’s eagerness to take back power, and Alexander was willing to collude with him in an act of life and death. If “Roy Howard” as he was now known thanks to Damian’s help, was no longer needed by Damian, then “Roy Howard” could disappear.

But Damian’s actions now were not just about making “Roy Howard” disappear; he couldn’t even tolerate the existence of Alexander!

Both men in the room fell silent.

After a long while, Alexander said, “Go find someone who can defuse bombs.”

Just as Zack was about to go, Alexander added, “Have the bomb attached to the yacht’s fuel tank on the lower level.”

Zack’s face grew even paler, “Master! That’s too dangerous!”

“If he changes his mind, we’ll be unharmed, but if he presses the switch…” Alexander’s eyes filled with a dark menace, cruel to the extreme, “then we’ll just have to send a few of those old Howard Family men to accompany me in death.”

The several uncles who were actively preparing for the retirees meeting were Damian’s men, ordered to witness personally how Alexander would die.

By standing on this yacht, they had positioned themselves against Alexander, and he had always been ruthless toward his enemies. In his eyes, their deaths were insignificant.

Zack refused, thinking the risk was too great.

Alexander, however, remained unmoved, his face as cold as hardened steel, “Just do it. To take my life, they’re still lacking in luck.”

With no other choice, Zack reluctantly left.

Alexander opened his eyes, feeling a bit hoarse.

It was as if the explosive transformation of heaven and earth was still before his eyes, the surge of heat, the flames rampant, lashing onto a person’s skin and pulling off a bloody layer. Even though he had been prepared on the deck, he was still hit by the blast.

Had there not been a small boat operating stealthily in the darkness a hundred meters away, his life might not have been spared.

This method was indeed very risky, but it was also incredibly satisfying.

It was as if Alexander had been released, thinking to himself: Damian, I finally don’t owe you anything…

He got out of bed carefully, withdrawing his arm gently and waking up Purple Summers.

“Where are you going?” Purple asked him in the dark, her soft and tender voice filled with longing.

“I’m thirsty,” Alexander said, “Getting up for some water.”

“I want some water, too,” Purple immediately said.

Alexander chuckled, turned on the bedside lamp, got up, and poured a glass of water, taking a sip to Purple.

She claimed to want water but drank very little, sipping like a kitten before lying back down softly.

Alexander finished the rest of the water in the glass in big gulps, put the glass down, turned off the light, and went back to sleep.

Purple snuggled into his embrace and asked, “Did you have a dream?”

Alexander paused slightly, “Why?”

“I thought I heard you talking in your sleep,” Purple’s voice was so soft, seemingly on the verge of sleep, “but I couldn’t hear clearly… Did you call out my name in your dream?”

Alexander kissed her hair, smiling, “I did have a dream, dreamt of some things from the past.”

“You remembered the past?” Purple suddenly became more alert.

“Mhm,” Alexander hugged her tighter, “Remembered some things, and I will remember everything eventually.”

Purple looked up and pecked gently on his chin, sweetly saying, “That’s wonderful.”
