Chapter 2047: Chapter 1608: The Star Mover Ran Away
Anthony quietly checked his memory imprint.
No matter how good the memory is, it’s better to write it down. The best way to counter the Forgotten Skill is to record what has happened. In fact, Anthony had already forgotten about the three God Stars once before.
There’s no help for it; that’s the power of the Forgotten Mark. Ange couldn’t control it either. When a Forgotten Mark attacks an enemy, anything related to the enemy would also be affected, whether they’re friends, enemies, or bystanders.
For example, if an enemy forgets something, then his companions will forget, his enemies will forget, and anyone who has ever met or heard of him will forget.
For example, if he has a Divine Artifact and an enemy mentions ’Where’s your artifact?’ when encountering him, wouldn’t that trigger clues?
The God of the Forgotten was even forgotten by the Gods of Light. Instead, some church chronicles recorded his deeds, but most of those records faced ’Anthony’s Calamity’ and were burned.
Feiti, who was hit by the Forgotten Mark, even forgot people like Negris, Harvey, and the Great Sage.
As long as my memory remains unaffected, Anthony sighed with relief and turned to Gemez Fortress, saying, "Where’s your Gate of No Boundary? Let me use it for a bit."
Gemez Fortress cautiously glanced at Anthony and asked, "Why do you need it? What are you going to do?"
"I need it to measure distances. If you don’t lend it, it’s fine. Just move according to the coordinates I provide and activate your gate. No need to open it." Anthony responded.
Gemez Fortress somewhat understood what Anthony intended: "You want to use the Gate of No Boundary to measure coordinates proportion? You want to create a Star Map?"
Anthony nodded.
"Give me a copy of the Star Map, otherwise, I won’t lend it," Gemez Fortress said.
Anthony hesitated, "We need to discuss it."
After speaking, he retreated to the Soul Network, and Negris couldn’t help but comment, "I have a feeling you want him to owe you."
"Shouldn’t he? I’m sharing the Star Map with him," Anthony replied.
"But you used his Gate of No Boundary to measure it, and you’re probably only giving him the Star Map from the Land of the Infinity, withholding the external map, right?" Negris noted.
Anthony casually replied, "Of course, he can’t access the outside. What’s he going to do with the external map?"
Negris sarcastically remarked, "You’re borrowing his Gate of No Boundary to map out the coordinates of two worlds and giving him the side without stars. He should thank you."
"Exactly, he should thank me, otherwise, he wouldn’t even know the size of the Land of the Infinity," Anthony justified himself confidently.
After some discussion in the Soul Network, Anthony came out and spoke to Gemez Fortress, "Okay, but after mapping the Star Map, you’ll need to mark your original location so we can compare with previous observation data."
Gemez Fortress agreed.
What followed was a very long mapping process. Gemez Fortress first activated the Gate of No Boundary at their current location, and then Anthony activated it at the same spot, aligning their coordinates.
Then Gemez Fortress moved one-fiftieth of a unit towards the Boundless Space Hole and activated the Gate of No Boundary. Anthony then searched for the other gate through his own Gate of No Boundary to observe how far it shifted on the Star Map. This offset data represented one-fiftieth of a unit.
Repeating this process several times determines the distance each point moves on the Star Map, allowing for a proportion between the Star Map and the Land of the Infinity.
With this data, Anthony moved forward another one-fiftieth of a unit from his original position, opened the Gate of No Boundary, and determined its opening location to ascertain the ratio between the Land of the Infinity and the outside world.
"The ratio between the outside world and the Land of the Infinity is one percent, which means moving one unit here equals moving a hundred units outside." Negris calculated, compiling the massive amounts of data to arrive at a specific number.
Anthony gasped, "No wonder they call this place a God Star Transfer Station. Moving one unit here results in a hundred units outside. If the Gate of No Boundary weren’t so small, if the God Star’s true form could pass through, the God Star itself could be transferred."
Ursman asked, "Would Star Movers take on a job like this? Bringing the God Star in, moving it the necessary distance, then moving it out again?"
"Let’s give it a try later; we’ll learn the Star Migration Technique first," Anthony said.
While mapping the Star Map, Gemez Fortress’s Dark Star Avatar and the remaining three Dark Stars also arrived. This space became crowded with thirteen Dark Stars and Gemez Fortress’s main body.
God Stars aren’t like balls that can be squeezed together. Each God Star is a massive object, and crowding them together would form a gravity anomaly zone, similar to those two Devouring Abysses outside.
The two Devouring Abysses form a gravity midpoint, and with fourteen God Stars squeezed together, one being full-sized, the gravitational chaos is beyond Negris’s calculations.
"Move aside, move aside, Gemez Fortress, move your main body farther away," the Star Mover shouted.
Once Gemez Fortress’s main body was distant, only the thirteen Dark Stars of similar mass remained. Subtracting one for the Star Mover, twelve were left.
In the Star Mover region, positioned up, down, left, right, front, and back, the pairs opposed each other, gravitationally attracting to form a single center point, which landed on the Star Mover.
"Alright, now begin, feel the gravitational tremor, sense its rhythm, adjust your gravity to infinitely approach this rhythm," the Star Mover spoke loudly like a dance leader.
Observing from afar, Negris remarked, "No wonder they had to gather all the God Stars; originally, they used gravity to adjust the rhythm."
With the gravitational adjustments, the central Star Mover grew brighter, and its outer shell began to sink into the Star Flame, emitting dazzling light.
The Divine Light intensified, and the vast information poured out with it, surging into the surrounding God Stars.
"So, the God Stars not having names makes sense now," Ursman murmured.
The cryptic statement left everyone momentarily puzzled, prompting Negris to ask, "What do you mean?"
Ursman explained, "Their communication method doesn’t need names. A flash of Divine Light conveys vast information to the other party; each God Star’s Divine Light is a unique identifier. With just a flash, they recognize each other."
Just like speaking, if everyone’s voiceprint were unique and one could accurately convey another’s voiceprint, names wouldn’t be necessary.
While they conversed, the other Dark Stars, guided by the information conveyed through the Star Mover’s Divine Light, began practicing. From Ange’s perspective, the Void wasn’t just gravitationally ’bulging’ at the Star Mover’s location; space itself rippled outwardly like waves centered on the Star Mover.
Until the gravitational ’bulge’ reached an unprecedented height and spatial ripples spread out surrounding it, the central Star Mover contracted sharply, shrinking its space, before suddenly slipping into a gap.
Many on Ange’s side had seen this type of gap before, though they had seen a triangular one; this one was round.
"A barrier gap? Did... did he escape?" Negris said in a daze.
