Chapter 1134: Chapter 1147: A Haunted House?

Xiao Xiao finally realized Lin Junyang hadn’t let go the whole time. She pulled her hand away, unfastened the safety harness, and got off the roller coaster.

Seeing Jing Xiangyang’s pitiful and resentful expression, Xiao Xiao decided to listen to him this time to make up for his wounded heart.

"Doctor Jing, where shall we go next?"

Jing Xiangyang hadn’t expected Xiao Xiao to ask for his opinion. Ever since they entered the amusement park, it was Lin Junyang taking the lead, even taking the chance to hold the goddess’s hand. Thinking about this, his eyes rolled, "How about we go to the haunted house? I heard it’s set up very realistically, just thinking about it is thrilling."

"The haunted house?" Xiao Xiao repeated with a pout. She wanted to take back her earlier thought; she was really scared of ghosts.

Seeing Xiao Xiao’s expression, Jing Xiangyang became even more smug, "Don’t worry, Xiao Xiao, I’ll protect you inside. You can lean on Brother’s shoulder. Besides, you’re a medical student, you should trust in science, those things are all fictional, nothing to be scared of."

Jing Xiangyang was determined to persuade her, just wanting to play the role of the gallant protector.

Finally, Xiao Xiao gritted her teeth, "Let’s go, but Doctor Jing, you must hold onto me then."

"Rest assured, with Brother around, there won’t be any danger," Jing Xiangyang promised, patting his chest.

"Tch, it won’t be dangerous even without you," Lin Junyang snorted coldly from behind.

The haunted house at Nan’an Amusement Park has multiple passageways, and inside it’s like a maze. Considering the visitors’ mental endurance, there’s a thoughtful map of the route inside the haunted house right by the entrance.

Xiao Xiao glanced at the convoluted and winding paths, and could only chuckle to herself. She nudged Jing Xiangyang in front of her, "Doctor Jing, aren’t you going to look at the map?"

Jing Xiangyang glanced at the sign, "This is child’s play, no need to memorize the path. Trust me, I’ll make sure we come out safely."

Xiao Xiao stepped back and leaned towards Lin Junyang. Why did she feel that Jing Xiangyang’s words just now didn’t sound reliable?

As they entered the haunted house, it was pitch black in front of them. Only specks of light could be seen from afar on the walls, along with the deep, eerie music, making it look more like clusters of ghost fires.

Jing Xiangyang walked at the front, Xiao Xiao followed behind him, and Lin Junyang was at the back, the three of them moved slowly forward.

Suddenly, Jing Xiangyang shouted loudly, scaring Xiao Xiao into covering her head and screaming.

Jing Xiangyang turned around and laughed heartily, "Don’t be nervous, I just shouted for fun."

Xiao Xiao: "..."

She really wanted to take advantage of the darkness to kick him.

"Stop with the sudden scares, or else I’ll be scared to death by you before the ghosts even do," Xiao Xiao couldn’t help but complain.

Jing Xiangyang guaranteed again, "No way, with Brother here, I won’t let you get scared." 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

Just as he finished speaking, he turned around and saw a woman in white ahead of him, with black hair and white clothes, her face pale like a ghost—no, she was a ghost. Her bloody red tongue hung from her chest, her eyes glaring, with two lines of blood tears.

Jing Xiangyang was nearly frightened into screaming, but thinking of Xiao Xiao behind him, he held back a scream and only let out a burp.

Even the female ghost was extremely frustrated. She had worked in the haunted house for years, being the first ghost in the haunted house, and everyone screamed at the sight of her. This was the first time she had scared someone into burping.

Xiao Xiao saw the ghost too, instinctively stepping back and bumping into a firm chest, the familiar scent swirling around her, giving her an inexplicable sense of calm.
