Chapter 1125: Chapter 1137: Circus Act

"I’m afraid I’ll have to disappoint Captain Jia. I, Mu Xingfeng, would never entrust my back to someone who holds a grudge against me." Mu Xingfeng arrogantly tossed out this line and walked on, holding An Ran’s small hand. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

Not to mention Jia Chenggang’s inherent issues, just the fact that he disrespects his wife is enough reason for him to never let Jia Chenggang into the Special Training Team again. Disrespecting his wife is disrespecting him.

"Mu Xingfeng, isn’t this a personal vendetta you’re airing?" An Ran asked sneakily after they’d walked a bit further, glancing back at Jia Chenggang still standing there.

"It is." Mu Xingfeng answered without a second thought.

An Ran, "..."

She thought he would at least put up some defense, but this straightforward Mu Xingfeng was indeed likable to her.

The dazzling light of the sunrise at the end of August brightened everything around.

On the training ground, agile figures were scaling high walls, leaping over barriers, exuding their enthusiasm in full swing.

Lin Junyang had just jumped off the single-plank bridge when he caught a glimpse of someone approaching Mu Xingfeng from the corner of his eye, causing him to unconsciously come to a halt.

With an exclamation from behind, He Qing collided straight into Lin Junyang’s back.

Ding Liang, seeing the two crash into one another, jumped off the single-plank bridge and landed squarely on the two entangled bodies.

Lin Junyang was just about to get up when he was once again pressed to the ground, eating a mouthful of dirt.

Jing Xiangyang watched the group from a distance, his eyebrows twitching repeatedly, "Boss, is our Special Training Team actually practicing for a circus act? Although by the looks of it, these guys might only make for clowns."

Mu Xingfeng ignored Jing Xiangyang’s remarks, raising his wrist to check his watch. There was still a quarter of an hour before morning training ended, and by now, his little one should be awake.

Jing Xiangyang wasn’t offended, watching the human tower of three in the distance with great interest, as if missing nothing but a handful of sunflower seeds for the perfect scene.

Lin Junyang, buried under two bodies, was practically fuming, "Don’t you two have eyes?"

He Qing awkwardly rubbed his nose. Although he was currently quite comfortable, Lin Junyang’s bellow from beneath made his ears uncomfortable.

"Captain Lin, we’ve been diligently practicing. Based on our relative speed before, even if I suddenly gained a boost during training, I wouldn’t have bumped into you. Yet, I did bump into you, so clearly, the problem isn’t with me, but rather, you suddenly slowed down."

"I second that. I think Captain He has a point. We’ve maintained our pace. Of course, it’s possible our training speed has been improving rapidly over the last few days, but to suddenly leap onto Captain Lin is a little surprising, even for us." Ding Liang leisurely lay on top of the two, joining in the analysis.

Lin Junyang clenched his fists, grabbing a handful of dirt in frustration, "If you two don’t get up this instant, more people might climb on top in a moment."

Ding Liang turned his head, and sure enough, another teammate had already jumped off the high platform, bound for the single-plank bridge. If things continued this way, he couldn’t guarantee the next jumper wasn’t as oblivious as he had been, likely landing directly on them.

Executing a perfect flip, Ding Liang dismounted, and He Qing, fearing he might be mistaken for a human cushion again, popped to his feet with a fish leap, yet forgetting the human cushion beneath him. Just as Lin Junyang breathed a sigh of relief, he was bounced back to the ground, once again eating dirt.
