Chapter 957: Chapter 966: The Grand Finale (Part 2)
Qiao Mo was taken aback for a moment, never expecting to hear that word from Yan Jiu’s mouth. Her cheeks flushed slightly, but she knew there was no escaping this drink.
"This liquor is too strong, I’ll drink it for her."
Qiao Mo had just picked up the glass when Fu Nancheng took it from her hand.
But before he could bring it to his lips, Yan Jiu blocked him again: "Hey? Third Brother... You can drink for Little Sister Qiao, but only if she feeds you, then I’ll acknowledge it."
As soon as Yan Jiu spoke, cheers erupted around them.
"Feed with your mouth!"
"Yes, or it doesn’t count!"
Amidst the uproar and cheers, Qiao Mo’s small face turned red and hot. Instinctively, she looked up at the man beside her, only to meet his deep and intense gaze.
Qiao Mo felt both shy and embarrassed...
Really, why was he looking at her like that?
He held her protectively in his arms and whispered in her ear, "Feed me."
Qiao Mo was slightly stunned, looking at him in a daze.
A warm breath, carrying a faint scent of alcohol, brushed past his lips: "Otherwise, they won’t let it go."
Qiao Mo turned to look, only to find that at some point, they had been surrounded by people. They were right in the center, with no way to escape.
Yan Jiu raised an eyebrow, handing the glass to Qiao Mo: "Sister-in-law, please."
Every time she heard this term of address, Qiao Mo’s face turned even redder, finally resembling a red-hot iron, glistening with a sheen.
Qiao Mo had no choice but to slowly take the glass and take a gentle sip.
A strong, spicy flavor instantly spread, making her nearly tear up.
The next moment, a pair of soft, thin lips pressed against hers, transferring the liquid from her mouth.
She pulled away from him slightly, clearly observing his Adam’s apple move.
Fu Nancheng’s gaze remained fixed on Qiao Mo’s face, his large hand tightly clasping her waist, never letting go.
"Not a bad taste," he spoke softly.
Qiao Mo shyly lowered her head.
After they’ve drunk more than half the glass, the crowd finally let them go.
Soon, the two of them stopped in front of Jiang Jinghao. Jing Hao was dressed in a cream-colored suit, clean and neat, with a touch more steadiness and resilience than a few years ago.
"Congratulations," Jiang Jinghao said softly, his gaze lingering on Qiao Mo with a hint of reluctance.
He just slowly lost her, little by little...
Or rather, she never belonged to him, and that period of time was just borrowed.
Qiao Mo spoke softly, "Jing Hao, thank you for everything you’ve done for me over the years. I hope you find someone you love soon and forever be happy."
Jiang Jinghao simply gave her a faint smile, opening his arms slightly and saying softly, "How about a hug?"
Fu Nancheng didn’t say anything, and Qiao Mo stepped forward, gently hugging him as she whispered, "Be happy."
"Mm," he nodded.
Reluctantly letting go of Qiao Mo, he gently kissed her forehead, then turned his gaze toward Fu Nancheng, whose expression was somewhat sullen, and said softly, "I’ll keep an eye on you. If you’re not good to Xiao Mo, I’ll make sure she leaves your world forever. Next time, you might not have such good luck."
Fu Nancheng lowered his eyes: "Give up. I won’t give you that chance again."
"You’d better."
After saying goodbye to Jing Hao, Qiao Mo held Fu Nancheng’s arm, walking toward the next table: "Fu Nancheng."
"Hm?"
"I’m feeling a bit dizzy," Qiao Mo said softly, feeling like she was walking on air, as if stepping on cotton.
"I’ll take you upstairs."
