Chapter 60: Going Insane

[Music: stfu By Rosenfeld]

By the time I got to the hallway on the left, I slowed down my steps as I neared an open door.

I peeked as discreetly as possible and found out that this was a gym. I stepped in quietly, pressing my hand against a wall and sneaking a look.

The air got stolen from my lungs, a reaction that has become recurring far too much for my liking. His broad back faced me, and when he rolled them, the muscles taunt, and a pulse shot all the way between my legs, weakening me to the point my knees almost buckled.

What the fuck is happening right now?

Mortified by the sensation I just had, I took a step back to leave before things got out of hand, but Lisa came into the picture. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

Zade paced for a while before he took the laptop from her, eyes focused. Lisa got closer, pulling the strand of her bleached blonde hair behind her ear.

Seeing her so close, standing without so much as a space to divide them made my eyelid twitch.

Can’t that bitch just spend one breath of professional air without doing anything inappropriate? I could literally see how her hands itched to rest on his biceps.

She raised her hand, pointing to something, and then brushing, no—she fucking touched him.

I stepped out of hiding, and their eyes flew to me instantly.

Fuck! I should’ve thought twice before doing that.

Now this felt weird because I just stood there like I shouldn’t be.

I fully expected remarks from Lisa, but she doesn’t say a thing, giving me that unwanted look as always.

Take a trip, Jezebel.

"Luca sent me..." I lied. "He has a message for you. He’d have come himself, but he was too busy shoving pasta down his throat."

Zade raised an eyebrow. I bet he didn’t believe me.

"We’ll be attending," he said to Lisa without breaking eye contact. "Ensure preparations are made. No mistakes."

"Yes, Don." Lisa shut the laptop and walked, her heels clicking sharply with the sudden chilly silence.

I caught her side eyeing me in a very menacing way, and I returned the favor, and we appeared like two cats hissing at each other. Minus the hissing part.

"What message does Luca have for me?"

At the sound of a very annoying gravelly voice, I moved my eyes back to Zade.

He’s practically welcoming my lie. Screw him.

"You’re losing your touch, Don Salvero..." I replied sassily.

"Am I?" he said as his eyes darkened, and I knew why. "Elaborate."

Don’t say anything stupid, Ana.

I gritted my teeth. "Leaving me at the pool after tongue fucking me."

Yep, that’s stupid.

"Tongue fucking?" He came towards me, and I crossed my arms to keep grounded. "No, kitten. That was just a taste."

I swallowed thickly when he towered over me, looking down on me like the menacing reptile he was.

"If I were gonna fuck you with my tongue, I won’t stop until I finish my meal..." He tilted his head, eyes dipping, and I could tell he was burning off my shorts already with his eyes. "...properly."

A shiver coursed through me, but thankfully, my crossed arms were the footing I needed. It gave me the boss energy to deal with his venom.

I walked closer until I felt the heat exuding from his body.

"You started this. So finish it, asshole."

A shadow crossed his gaze, yet he remained standing like a damn statue sculptured by all the asses.

I uncrossed my arms. "Or maybe you’ve lost your edge."

I turned to leave, but his big hand wrapped around my wrist and yanked me back with force, resulting in my palm bracing against his chest.

Sweet mercy. He’s so... hard.

Zade lowered himself toward me, and I thought he was going to kiss me, but his hand slipped beneath my satin shorts to grip my ass, using that as a medium to pick me up, and I locked my legs tightly around his waist.

My heartbeat thundered violently in my chest to the point I thought it was going to explode. So I kissed him, not soft but rough, because that was exactly how this felt; it was feral and raw. I feared that if I didn’t get it out of my system, it was gonna destroy me.

My back slammed hard against the wall, the kiss turning from wild to something else entirely, like we both starved for oxygen and the only way we were gonna get it was through locking our lips so we clawed desperately at it, feasting as much as we could because time was running out.

My hand dipped into hair with the speed of a cheetah, raking profusely, feeling the moist strands beneath my fingertips.

Zade disconnected our mouths, lashing onto my neck like a ravenous creature. A wild moan tore from my lips, my hands sinking into his broad shoulders before sliding toward his back, clawing it restlessly.

"Brother."

I jumped-started, whipping my head toward Elliot, who had walked in.

In a raspy breath, I averted my eyes back to Zade, who remained standing. He hadn’t picked me up against him, nor had we kissed like rabbits in heat. Neither have I told him to finish what he started.

I retreated a step, completely stunned.

Oh my god.

Oh. My. God.

You’ve got to be shitting me! Did I... Did I hallucinate? Am I going insane?

"I didn’t realize I was interrupting."

Elliot’s voice made me realize we weren’t alone anymore, and I appeared like the only one who had seen a ghost.

Get a fucking grip, Ana.

"You weren’t..." Zade said, amused. "Though I wouldn’t say the same for my wife."

You prick!

"You came just in time by the way..." Zade walked to the punching bag suspended from the ceiling.

He calmly unzipped the bag, and my stomach dropped when a random bloodied man, beaten to a pulp, fell out of it.
