Chapter 999: Chapter 998: Sorry, I’m Not Treating Anymore

"Oh my god, this is just too much. I think we absolutely need to make a forum post about today’s incident—it’s simply unbelievable."

One of the secretaries said as she took out her phone, appearing ready to start posting.

"Feel free to post if you’re confident it won’t get taken down."

Besides, she can delete posts; it’s just a minor inconvenience.

Hearing this, the secretary looked utterly disgusted, as if she’d swallowed a fly.

Her throat bobbed up and down, choking several times, but ultimately no words came out.

This was clearly just an attempt to rile them up.

"Forget the forum, post on a discussion board instead; surely she doesn’t have the connections to delete posts there."

Everyone chimed in with ideas.

Nia Mitchell smirked, standing there thinking this group of people was truly laughable.

There were no words to describe it; such people actually exist in this world.

"Do whatever you like; I don’t mind going public with the truth."

Who doesn’t know how to make a post?

Just then, Hazel Quartz pushed open the door and walked in.

Upon entering, she sensed something was amiss in the private room.

"What’s going on?"

Why is everyone standing here?

It was like she’d missed some spectacular drama.

"Head Secretary, you’re finally here; look at this newcomer—absolutely unacceptable."

Suddenly, they seemed to find a backbone and swarmed over to Hazel Quartz. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

"What happened? What’s going on?"

Hazel furrowed her brows.

"It’s because of Nia Mitchell. She dared to disdain us and said she wouldn’t host anymore. This is intentional! She asked us here and then pulls this."

Hazel was stunned after hearing this.

Not hosting anymore?

How could this happen?

"Nia Mitchell, what’s going on here?"

Hazel was no longer the friendly colleague she used to be, amiably calling Nia’s name and working alongside her.

Now, she exhibited an air of superiority.

Despite not holding a high position, her authority felt grand.

"Does any of this concern you? I will host if I want to, and I won’t if I don’t want to."

Must I be subjected to others?

What Nia said made Hazel’s expression change.

She didn’t expect Nia to say such a thing.

"What do you mean by that?"

Instantly, Hazel was unsettled.

"How can you be so dishonest? Inviting us here and saying you won’t host—it’s blatantly playing with us."

Hazel roared, her voice rising.

At that moment, a waiter happened to come in carrying dimsum, unexpectedly witnessing the quarrel.

Waiter:...

Uh, what’s going on here?

Should they deliver the food or not?

Better deliver it.

The door was gently pushed open, revealing a full-view of the private room.

Nia Mitchell looked at Hazel Quartz with a mocking expression.

"Don’t accuse me of messing with you all. First, I’ve never personally said I’d host anything; second, this venue wasn’t chosen by me. Why do you assert that I invited you all here to host?"

She spoke casually and then watched Hazel’s face grow increasingly dark.

Looking at the waiter laying out dimsum, Hazel noticed an outsider present, not wanting to ruin her image.

"How can you say that? You weren’t like this when you said you’d host before."
