Chapter 2839 - Visiting a Brothel With a Heavenly Sovereign

If a Heavenly Sovereign wanted to hug him, Su Yi naturally couldn’t escape, but he did find the whole experience objectionable.

Lu Hongpao was, after all, still wearing a male form. Hugging another man like this didn’t feel right. But when Su Yi recalled that Lu Hongpao was really a woman... he instantly felt even stranger. When he breathed, a soothing, subtle fragrance filled his nostrils, and even the body plastered against his seemed somehow softer and more elastic.

Can I consider this “a beauty throwing herself into my embrace”?

Lian Luo winked mischievously at Su Yi and gave him a big thumbs up. He didn’t say anything, but his gaze was full of hidden meaning. He really looked like he was asking for a beating.

Bang!

The red-robed figure shot forth in a blur and smacked Lian Luo on his bald head. Lian Luo wailed, clutched his skull, and scampered off like a rat.

Lu Hongpao laughed coldly. “Next time you dare act so lewdly, I’ll gouge out your eyes!”

Lian Luo nodded repeatedly, “I was blind! I saw nothing at all. Please, rest assured, Master!”

Su Yi didn’t know what to say. You’re just making this look even worse!

But soon, Su Yi set all that aside. He’d just noticed that Lu Hongpao and Yao Monarch Lian Luo were the only ones here. There was no sign of anyone else at all.

“Those worthy of life have left, while those unworthy have already died,” Lu Hongpao said with a laugh. “I’ve already dealt with the aftermath for you.”

Su Yi’s heart shook. “Light Beam Sword Pavilion and the Blueleaf Sword Sect...”

Lu Hongpao smiled and nodded.

Su Yi instantly felt a massive weight lift from his shoulders. He’d anticipated that Lu Hongpao would help him clean up the mess, but he hadn’t anticipated that she’d be so considerate as to look after Light Beam Sword Pavilion and the Blueleaf Sword Sect.

“I’ll let Lian Luo fill you in on the details later,” Lu Hongpao said excitedly. She placed a finger on Su Yi’s shoulder. “Come on, let’s find a place to rest our feet. We aren’t leaving until we’re both dead drunk!”

Before her voice had even finished echoing through the air, she and Su Yi had vanished into thin air.

......

The Literati Continent. Rosy Dew Pavilion.

This was one of the most famous money pits in the entire continent. Its guests were typically first-rate, prominent experts. Never mind ordinary cultivators; even old-timers from Heavenly Monarch factions couldn’t pass through those doors without an invitation.

Of course, in Lu Hongpao’s eyes, it was just another brothel.

The girls were from a place called the Grotto of One Hundred Flowers. It had once been a Heavenly Monarch faction, and all of its disciples were women. Moreover, all were nature spirits and yao cultivators in human form. Their ranks included every type of charmer imaginable, as well as experts with deep, lofty cultivations.

Alas, the Grotto of One Hundred Flowers had met with grave disaster. The sect had declined, then been invaded. Ultimately, it fell, its legacies severed. The survivors, their disciples, and their grand-disciples had built the Rosy Dew Pavilion.

Courtesans were a common sight in the mundane world. They naturally weren’t rare in the Eternal Heavens Domain either, but the brothels frequented by Eternals were different. The pleasures sought therein were far more varied—and far more unconventional.

Some guests sought merely to temper their hearts, while others sought enlightenment through dual cultivation. Some simply wished to see unparalleled beauty with their own eyes and broaden their horizons. In any event, it wasn’t at all shocking or unheard of for a cultivator to frequent brothels. It was even rather commonplace.

But money pits on the level of Rosy Dew Pavilion were exceedingly rare. Rumor had it that even Heavenly Monarchs often spared no expense, spending vast sums for a night’s enjoyment. It was thus obvious how enticing Rosy Dew Pavilion was.

Meanwhile, in the hall on Rosy Dew Pavilion’s top floor, Su Yi was experiencing the wonders of the greatest brothel in the Literati Continent firsthand. Even the girls pouring the tea were rare, shocking beauties. The girls who drank with them each had their own distinctive charms. All were picturesque beauties.

Lu Hongpao sat there, relaxed and at ease, with a woman on each side. As she drank, she sighed, “To tell the truth, it’s been a long, long time since I last visited a brothel. It’s no fun to go by myself. It’s much more fun to go with my good brother.”

The beauty beside Lu Hongpao covered her mouth and laughed, then gently rubbed Lu Hongpao’s shoulder. Her smiling eyes seemed capable of speech, and they were full of endless charm and softness.

Su Yi, meanwhile, was accompanied by a cold, sultry woman, pure and charming.

Apparently, Qing Qiao’s true body was a rare spirit butterfly. She was in the Unfettered Realm, and she was so talented that she could easily have become a legacy disciple in a Heavenly Monarch faction! The Master Gods of the God Domain thought of Eternals as lofty, superior existences, yet here in Rosy Dew Pavilion, an Eternal like Qing Qiao... was a courtesan.

The disparity was readily apparent.

Su Yi’s horizons were broadening, but he wasn’t particularly emotional about it. He was listening to music, enjoying the companionship of beauties, and soon, he’d drift off into drunken slumber. It was just another way to kill time. In this regard, all brothels beneath the heavens were the same.

All of these girls were utterly extraordinary. Su Yi naturally didn’t pity them. There was no need.

They made enough money in one day to put the vast majority of cultivators to shame. What need was there to pity them?

Besides, the women of Rosy Dew Pavilion attached great importance to affinity and first impressions. You couldn’t simply buy a night with them. It might be cruel to put this bluntly, but the women of this money pit lived a life that most cultivators could only dream of!

He drank and chatted with Lu Hongpao, but they discussed nothing of substance.

After several rounds of drinks, Lu Hongpao suddenly sat upright and pointed at Qing Qiao, the girl accompanying Su Yi. “You stay behind. The others can leave.”

The girls were stunned, but they quickly did as they were told. Soon, the room was empty save for Su Yi, Lu Hongpao, and Qing Qiao.

Lu Hongpao narrowed her eyes. “We’ve had our drinks and seen what beauties this place has to offer. Don’t you think it’s time you showed your appreciation, Madam Qingyi?”

Madam Qingyi? Su Yi was a bit stunned. Only now did he realize that Lu Hongpao had brought him to this brothel with another goal in mind.

Qing Qiao was stunned, and the look in her eyes silently shifted. “And how would you like me to show my appreciation, Your Excellency?”

Lu Hongpao laughed. “Why not strip off your clothes and enjoy a night of passion with my good brother?”

Qing Qiao’s face frosted over, her whole presence instantly more solemn and stern. It was as if she’d gone from a pure, stunning courtesan to an imposing empress presiding over the four seas.

She remained seated, her gaze utterly calm. “Your Excellency, since you know who I really am, you surely understand how I do things. Please, show a little self-respect.”

Lu Hongpao laughed, then walked over to Qing Qiao, stretched out her hand, and cupped her chin.

“The ignorant are without sin,” Lu Hongpao said with an air of superiority. “So give me a Hidden Dao Talisman, and I’ll let you off just this once.”

A Hidden Dao Talisman!

Su Yi had fused with Jiang Wuchen’s memories, so he naturally knew that Hidden Dao Talismans belonged to a faction of assassins known as the Blissful Heavens. Of the Eternal Heavens Domain’s six great assassins guilds, they were the strongest, as well as the most mysterious!

Rumor had it they’d existed since the Devastation, but no one knew their true background or origins. And the Hidden Dao Talismans were a unique secret treasure of the Blissful Heavens. They could obscure the user from detection; not even heaven and earth could sense them. Those who used these talismans walked amongst the shadows, traceless and invisible, as elusive as a ghost.

Unless they were already on guard, not even Heavenly Monarchs could sense them!

“A Hidden Dao Talisman?” Madam Qingyi’s brow furrowed, her expression suddenly full of uncertainty. “Might I request your honorable name and surname?”

Whap!

Lu Hongpao slapped her across the face without warning. She struck hard, too, sending Madam Qingyi tumbling over backward. Half of her beautiful, jade-like face swelled, and she let out a muffled, agonized grunt.

Lu Hongpao smiled, her eyes narrowing into slits. “The Blissful Heavens is the greatest assassin’s guild beneath the heavens. You’ve existed since the Devastation. Too many Heavenly Monarchs have died by your hands to count, and everyone pales at the mere mention of your name.

“Unfortunately for you, that isn’t enough to scare me,” said Lu Hongpao. She took a step forward, stopping beside Madam Qingyi. “I’ll ask you one last time. Will you give me the talisman or not?”

From beginning to end, Su Yi just sat quietly and watched.

Lu Hongpao was being utterly tyrannical, taking whatever she wanted by force. She wasn’t being at all reasonable. But Su Yi knew that a Heavenly Sovereign like Lu Hongpao wouldn’t come here to throw her weight around without good reason.

Madam Qingyi sat upright on the floor, hair disheveled, blood dripping from the corners of her lips. She gazed at Lu Hongpao in alarm. “The Blissful Heavens might not be enough to scare you, but what about the terrifying expert behind us?”

Lu Hongpao jeered. “You mean Heavenly Sovereign E? Go ahead, try to contact the old codger. See if he heeds your call!”

This time, Madam Qingyi completely panicked. Who is this guy? How does he know that Heavenly Sovereign E is backing us?

Su Yi couldn’t help but be stunned, too. He naturally wasn’t unfamiliar with Heavenly Sovereign E; it was that very insidious old-timer who’d possessed Di E’s body back in the God Domain. He’d caused Su Yi an enormous amount of trouble, too.

The old-timer had personally participated in the God Domain’s Battle for Order.

But Su Yi would never have guessed that Heavenly Sovereign E was behind the Blissful Heavens, the mightiest assassin’s guild in the Eternal Heavens Domain!

Suddenly, a soft sigh echoed through the room.

“Lu Hongpao, why does a Heavenly Sovereign like you feel the need to bully a junior?”

A tall, thin figure with youthful features appeared silently, accompanying this voice. He was dressed in black, and his features were identical to Di E’s. But his presence was completely different; his whole body was shrouded in mists of calamitous power.

There was no doubt about it. This was Heavenly Sovereign E!

But Su Yi could tell that this was just an avatar of his will, not his true body.

Lu Hongpao turned to face him, a broad grin on her face. “If I hadn’t done that, how could I have forced you out into the open, you old schemer?”

Heavenly Sovereign E furrowed his brow. “What do you want?”

Lu Hongpao laughed. “I want to escort my good brother Su Yi out of the Literati Continent, yet you keep skulking about in the shadows. You’re an eyesore! Thus, I came here today to ask you to back off!”

Su Yi’s heart shook. Was Heavenly Sovereign E watching the whole time I was in the Nine Luminaries Forbidden Zone? Don’t tell me this was another of the Malevolent Sword Venerate’s countermeasures?
