Chapter 740: Chapter 359: Eternal Summer, Setting Sail

Zoe seemed to sense some sort of call as she opened her eyes. Her hazy pupils immediately cleared upon capturing Li Ang’s figure, and she quickly walked up to him, throwing herself into his arms. She hooked his neck, stood on tiptoe to kiss him several times before properly standing, her ruby-like eyes full of anticipation as she looked at him.

In the current situation, the young girls didn’t feel like messing around, not caring much about Zoe’s blatant affection.

"Li Ang, I tried searching, but it seems like I found it, and yet I haven’t. That power is too distant for me to grasp."

"It’s okay. There will be a way."

After Zoe released Li Ang, Leviathan then took over his mind. Li Ang waved to the girls present and walked out of the cabin.

This was the scheduled public lounge of the Eternal Summer, but this beloved ship of theirs was yet to be outfitted; its interior was just like an unfurnished room.

After passing through a corridor, everyone arrived on the deck.

From the planks underfoot to the handrails crafted to withstand impact, and the guardrails on the sides of the ship, all featured profound and beautiful wood grains akin to ocean waves. Leaves and delicate branches grew all around the corners of the ship, lush yet just right, sprouting only in places that wouldn’t affect usage. It was as if Diana had taken care to make these distinctions, so the whole Eternal Summer, true to its name, showcased the fervor of life.

This was a beautiful magic ship, and though there wasn’t enough time to outfit it, the girls loved it dearly as soon as it was built.

Overhead was the hovercraft brought by the people of Neilto. It was oval-shaped overall, tightly covered with the leather of Water Attribute Demons from the Transcendent Realm, with the manufacturer carefully choosing and utilizing these materials. The sides, top, and bottom featured different performance attributes made from Demon leather to balance lift capacity, defense power, and steering ability. The color coordination was appropriate; overall, it was blue, with deep and shallow intermingling without disorder, displaying a sense of mystery about water.

On the deck near the cabin, stood the Statue of the King of Falcon gifted by Otto, proudly spreading its wings, appearing even more majestic than Melegon’s mount. It could protect the Eternal Summer as it safely crossed storms.

In front of the hull rested a gigantic Dragon Transformed Crocodile Skull; this ship’s figurehead blessed by the Sea Serpent Ancestor infused the ship with dragon and water power, granting it magic skills.

The ramming horn extending above the dragon-like horns on both sides was given by Loken. Its vermilion color made it formidable and dignified, with an intimidating aura even before a collision.

After Li Ang accepted the task to acquire the Key of Activation, Loken had Neil bring it for installation, which Li Ang only found out about later.

At the rear of the hull, the external armor of the drive module was reinforced by Li Ang using the Melting and Gathering Law, securely enclosing the core of the Mecha Demigod. The heavy propellers were powerful, and the engraved Wind Attribute Magic Runes stirred the air to produce strong thrust. However, due to the difficulty in turning them, requiring sufficient engine power, this was the least concerning issue.

In most situations, the speed and maneuverability of a Flying Airship aren’t solely reliant on the engine. For instance, the combat airships of the Order Flower Sword Corps previously relied on magic runes engraved for added sprinting power, and many flagship airships of the Sky Cavalry also had varying degrees of Magic Runes.

This set of runes was one Li Ang hadn’t managed to inscribe, even though the system existed to teach him the ability to engrave the ship’s runes. He simply hadn’t had the time. Currently, the Eternal Summer only had basic protective runes, requiring further effort and investment to strengthen and expand.

Overall, the hull was light brown, with touches of vibrant green life colors everywhere, the ramming horn being a vermilion red, and the hovercraft featuring various shades of blue. Some colors didn’t quite match, needing complete painting in line with outfitting to achieve overall harmony, but this didn’t affect the fact that it was a very beautiful ship.

Li Ang had come several times previously in a hurry, and before the ship could set sail, the girls had already delighted in it. But with the Empire’s troubles unresolved, there was simply no time to decorate the Eternal Summer into a new home.

Most battles they couldn’t participate in, but this one needed them, so Li Ang had already let them start getting to know every part of the ship.

They needed to get familiar with where there were handrails, know how to stand firm during rapid maneuvers of the ship, and welcome the impacts targeted at Demons.

They needed to be familiar with the connection points of each module to make quick repairs when damaged.

They needed to know where on the ship to take cover and where to engage large Demons on the platform.

Because this had been instructed earlier, as soon as Li Ang arrived, the girls already knew what was going to happen next.

"Finally, are we going to set sail?" Dorothy swallowed.

"Of course!" Zoe pursed her lips tightly.

Except for the calm Anna and the lowered head of Meimei, a variety of complex expressions appeared on the faces of the young girls.

They had long awaited the adventure of flying their own ship in the sky, but Li Ang told them—the first voyage of the Eternal Summer might involve battle.

Zoe did not fear the difficulties ahead; the Empire’s intrusion made her want to shatter these annoying foes and then live joyously with Li Ang.

Dorothy wasn’t afraid, either. Although the adventure differed from her expectation, and the crisis was unexpected, her desire was merely not to die blandly in her short life, just to stay beside someone she liked. But after all she had been through, she gradually felt she should strive to do something.

ALulu had long made the Oath of Glory, ready to advance and fight alongside companions. Delicious meals, a warm life, and a gentle brother—to protect these, she’d rely on her strength once underestimated.
