Chapter 719: Chapter 350: Window of Opportunity

The six-colored light pillars of the City of the Ship’s Rudder shook everyone in the city. The vibration brought by the energy beam that shot from the top of the island piercing the sky stopped after more than ten seconds, and then a giant vortex appeared in the sky.

"Magical Disaster! It’s a Magical Disaster!" someone knowledgeable immediately shouted.

As if to verify his statement, dimensional thunder burst from the vortex in the sky. Some passing birds were engulfed by the Magic Thunder, burned, twisted, and re-emerged with skeletal wings enveloped in lightning and fire, becoming Demons.

In the tranquil Flos Sky Realm, the emergence of a Magical Disaster and masses of Demons was too distant for ordinary people; many were only here for the Double Eagle Helm Festival, completely unaware of what this signified.

However, there were plenty who understood matters of the sky, and they rushed towards the port, eager to set sail.

But there were too many ships wanting to set sail, causing chaos at the port as the Flying Airships collided with each other, and only a few could take off.

Inside the Sky Flame Shipyard—no, it was hard to still call it a shipyard—the earlier Elemental Fusion Cannon Attack started from the secretive building, engulfing the adjacent office building in destructive waves, reducing it to dust, flattening large swaths of residential area and many factory buildings.

Half of the entire shipyard was destroyed by this cannon attack.

This kind of attack had a power equivalent to a Transcendent Demon Beast or the King of the Island, or one might even say, it surpassed any usual Tier Ten Demon. The only enemy attack Li Ang had seen with such might came from the mysterious "World destruction Six Punishments."

"I... I’m actually still alive..."

The old director’s secretary slumped on the ground. For her, it seemed like a dream, from the director being killed, to the two sides of Sky Knights engaging in an unimaginable battle, and finally the beam of destruction that obliterated everything.

She knew it was those Sky Knights who saved her. They moved with dizzying speed and left just as quickly.

"Ugh!"

"Ah!"

The sound beside her startled the secretary. She turned and saw the Black Armor Female Knight, who had served as a guard, lying nearby.

Had she also been saved by those people? Weren’t they supposed to be enemies? But then, they were against those who killed the old director, so what exactly...

Recent events were too shocking, leaving the secretary sitting amidst debris and ashes, her mind in a mess as she watched the Female Knight’s flesh and blood rapidly regenerate.

This phenomenon was beyond the secretary’s comprehension. She watched for a while, witnessing the knight’s decayed flesh repair, revealing her wheat-colored face.

"Are you okay?"

The Female Knight’s vacant eyes moved slightly, looking at the secretary, her throat rolling as if wanting to speak, but in the end said nothing.

She stood up, lifted the secretary by the waist, and ran towards the road at the edge of the ruins.

...

Jenoside’s white monstrous hand lifted Rams, inch by inch, towards the rift where the Destruction Battleship was.

The wounds pierced by the rain swords quickly healed under the verdant Curse Runes appearing all over his body. He barely sat up, cursing under his breath.

Damn it, what partners, what team, Li Ang, Morales, useless incompetents, turned to ash under the Star Soul’s power. My choice was right. Once you experience this kind of power, you won’t hold the Guild’s ways in regard!

But his doll-like face with a sinister smile immediately froze because the "Eyes of God" had appeared before him. They didn’t step out from the Dimensional Rift, merely stared at Rams from the edge of the Gate of Space.

In front of these beings, Rams always felt a strange chill, as if he was not facing Human Race, no, even beyond this dimension’s existence.

Even with a long robe covering them, he could vaguely see the unusual shapes underneath—those irregular protrusions felt like their bodies had grown spikes.

"∫₠δÖ이?"

"eɪerrendeːfaʊɛlle!"

Even speaking an unheard strange language, truly monsters.

"Lord Eye of God." Rams lowered his head, concealing his expression from them.

"Rams, you are indeed an arrogant mortal," said one Eye of God.

"Lord Eye of God must be joking. How could that be?"

They can see my face? Rams was startled, but when he looked up his face was already filled with a perfect flattery.

"The Divine Eye Power on you was originally a grace you received under the divine light, yet you used it for personal vendettas, saving yourself—a blasphemous act not excused by your menial errands."

"You should have been handling matters in the Fire Realm, yet you defied the rules and came to the Empire to break the blockade’s frontlines. What are your intentions? I expect a suitable explanation."

It seems they don’t know about the Ancient Battleship; for now, I must get through this tribulation.

Rams desperately sought reasons in his heart, especially tailoring special titles toward Li Ang, such as "Calculating Avenger" and "Natural Obstacle to the Empire’s Grand Plan."

Have to find a way to shift the blame entirely onto Li Ang. Rams thought.

"However, you inadvertently performed a meritorious service," said another Eye of God.

What’s going on? Rams was taken aback; this was not what he expected.

"That person before, your nemesis, in your terminology a ’witch,’ for a mortal to wield such power is indeed remarkable."
