Chapter 2345: Chapter 2345: Nestled Against Sylvan Cheney’s Chest

The weather is gradually cooling down.

The first cold wave in Cakago arrived on a rainy day.

Late autumn had ended with dry yellow leaves, and the bleak early winter had arrived.

This day happened to be a Saturday.

Because of the rain, Sylvan Cheney stayed in bed longer with Jasmine Yale.

He wasn’t fond of sleeping in, but seeing Jasmine Yale sleeping peacefully, he turned to his side, quietly watching her sleeping face.

In her dreams, Jasmine Yale was exceptionally quiet, like a soft and cute bunny, unmoving, her lips slightly upturned. Her eyelashes were long, thick, and dark, her nose small and high, her cheeks rosy.

Sylvan Cheney didn’t know how many times he had carefully looked at this fair and beautiful face.

But it seemed he never tired of it.

Outside the window, the rain poured down heavily, and the sky was gloomy.

The entire bedroom appeared very dim.

It was unclear how long he watched her before Jasmine Yale stirred and moved closer to him.

Sylvan Cheney simply embraced her, letting her rest on him.

His large hand gently touched her stomach, and under the warm quilt, there was an unusual sense of peace.

This comforting feeling made him indulge in it.

He was a man, rarely immersing himself in romance, but he had to admit that having someone he liked brought a different kind of happiness.

And so, he held Jasmine Yale for nearly another hour.

The rain was pouring harder, and the wind was howling.

The weather forecast said the temperature would drop today.

Jasmine Yale moved slightly and woke up.

As she woke, Sylvan Cheney woke up too.

"What time is it?" She mumbled, nestled against Sylvan Cheney’s chest, her small hand clutching his robe. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"Nine o’clock."

"Nine o’clock already? Why haven’t you gotten up yet?" Jasmine Yale whispered with a laugh.

"Being lazy just like you." Sylvan Cheney laughed along.

"Oh, right, today’s Saturday, you can stay with me. It’s raining heavily outside..."

"Yes, there’s heavy rain today, and the temperature will drop. From now on, don’t step on the carpet barefoot at home, wear your shoes, you hear?"

Sylvan Cheney’s warm breath fell by her ear, and she snuggled against him, acting spoiled, "I heard you, always lecturing me."

She liked walking on the carpet because it was soft and comfortable, and stepping on it would bring a tickling sensation to her soles.

This was a bad habit developed since childhood.

Sylvan Cheney had corrected her many times, but she always let it go in one ear and out the other.

"Do you want to get up? If not, I’ll talk to you." Sylvan Cheney held her close.

Jasmine Yale shook her head, her arms wrapped around his waist, "Of course I don’t want to get up, I just want to stay like this, not going anywhere. Besides, today’s weather is perfect for staying home, don’t you think?"

"Everything you say is right."

"Such a sweet talker." Jasmine Yale teased, "Sweet words."

"Jasmine Yale, tell me about your childhood? Hmm? Didn’t you say you were very impressive before?"

"I won’t say, a hero doesn’t speak of past victories. What use is being impressive as a child, didn’t you say I’m like a little lamb now?" Jasmine Yale rested her head against his chin, "I wasn’t that impressive as a child, just a bit mischievous, not ladylike."

"Oh, what about your family?"

"When I was young... my parents separated, and I was with my mom. My mom passed away many years ago, and my dad, I have found him now."

"Did you get used to living alone?"

"Living alone... Of course, I wasn’t used to it at first, but slowly it became okay."

"From now on, you have me, you’re not alone."
