Chapter 2391: Chapter 1063: One Arrow, Four Hawks (Part 2)

Having witnessed the mercantile side of the True Gods, it naturally becomes hard to feel reverence for them; when they’re discussed, it’s treated as casually as small talk.

"The third!" King Yasan’s smile grew even wider.

There are no parents who don’t hope their children become more outstanding. Whether it was the effect of studying under several of Lady Strategy’s Chosen, or the tempering of war in the Eastern Desolation, this usually scatterbrained younger daughter had grown much more mature and steady; her thinking had become more and more comprehensive.

"The third is to stun the enemy." Princess Yalusai, immersed in her analysis, did not understand her old father’s frame of mind. "General Gaven’s territory has one enormous advantage.

Most of his territory was built up by his own hand; there is no bloated noble class to hold him back, his orders can be carried out efficiently, and he can mobilize vast amounts of manpower and resources to do one single thing.

But this is also his most fatal flaw, if something happens to him personally.

These lands, pieced together by his Charisma, will crumble back into loose sand and present the enemy with an opportunity.

The Dark Alliance of the Giant Dragon Coast, the Dark Castle of the Santarin Association, the Merchants Council of the Sambiyan Kingdom, and the Red Robe Mages of the Kingdom of Ser are all itching to move.

Even Father has dispatched fifty thousand Elite troops toward the Goblin Margins..."

"Ahem..." Even King Yasan, whose face was thicker than Dragon Scales, almost choked on his own saliva when his daughter exposed him in public. He hurriedly defended himself: "I’m redeploying troops just in case, to prevent the hard-won fruits of civilization General Gaven has established there from falling into the hands of those evil lot of the Santarin Association, who would completely block off our western flank..."

"A juicy piece of fat like that would make anyone’s mouth water." Princess Yalusai chuckled, her expression saying she understood all too well. "If it were me, I wouldn’t be able to resist doing the same.

I just didn’t expect General Gaven’s control over his territory to be so strong. Even when he’s not on the Material Plane, he can still launch this kind of total war; the linkage between his domains is actually this powerful, and they possess such formidable new-style war equipment.

If this tactic can’t be resolved, it’s very easy to be dragged into a quagmire of war and be beaten on multiple fronts."

"Good, good. You’ve made quite a bit of progress lately, to be able to see this much—more than enough to be a competent Lord. But you’ve only seen the surface and not the deepest reason behind it all..." King Yasan wisely shifted the topic; the more he argued about that matter, the less clear it would become.

"The deepest reason?" Princess Yalusai’s expression grew more confused.

"What direct benefit does this bring to General Gaven?" King Yasan guided her patiently.

"General Gaven is now in the Bottomless Abyss; at most he’s pulling the strings from behind the scenes. What direct connection could this have with him?" Princess Yalusai still hadn’t seen through it.

"You already analyzed things from the perspective of faith earlier..." King Yasan almost directly revealed the answer. "Look at the targets they’re focusing on striking."

"Jackalwere, Ghouls, Orcs..." Princess Yalusai suddenly understood. "Father means that General Gaven, down in the Bottomless Abyss, has gone to war with the Demon Lord Yenogu and the Ghoul King Doreisan? How is that possible? That’s a Demon Lord..."

"Why would it be impossible?" King Yasan said proudly. "Wherever a Giant Dragon goes, it soars in the sky, it doesn’t flounder in the mud. General Gaven is the same.

The Slaughter Godhood Shard in Khan Yamun’s hands became the root of disaster for himself and even for the Tukan People.

But in General Gaven’s hands, it may instead become the aid that lets him soar into the heavens, especially since he already commands multiple kinds of Divine Power by himself.

Otherwise, where did you think those Bloodthirsty Undead charging at the front lines, and those Flying Undead with terrifying air superiority, came from?"

A look of shock welled up on Princess Yalusai’s heroic face. "Father means that General Gaven has not only mastered Slaughter Divine Power, but has even established a stretch of territory in the Bottomless Abyss?"

King Yasan nodded. "Only that can explain why his Shadow Wing Spies, in such a short time, have all simultaneously gained the ability to summon large numbers of Undead Demons. That is absolutely not a Spell, but Divine Grace Divine Skill."

"Unimaginable, truly unimaginable. In less than half a year, General Gaven has actually expanded his territory into the Bottomless Abyss." Little stars were about to pop out of Princess Yalusai’s eyes.

If he were only opening up new lands on the Material Plane, that would merely be the making of a Human King.

But to be able to open up a territory even in a place like the Bottomless Abyss, which makes ordinary people turn pale at the mere mention, he might very well surpass even some of the weaker True Gods.

And the other party, annoyingly, seemed to be a few years younger than she was.

"This may not be a good thing." A gentle, soft voice sounded. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

A woman in a plain elegant gown, crowned upon her head, walked in. Every frown and smile radiated a kind of Cordial warmth; her every word and gesture was impeccable, carrying the bearing of imperial nobility, perfectly fused with her beauty.

Wherever she went, she was the undisputed center of attention.

Within the Komeer Kingdom, only one person possessed such bearing: King Yasan’s eldest daughter, the Crown Princess Tainalasta, praised as the Jewel of the Komeer Kingdom.

"Big sister just loves worrying over nothing." Princess Yalusai walked up with a grin and took Tainalasta’s hand. "That’s Strength from the Lower Plane—convenient to use and it doesn’t cost anything."

"Everything has a price. It’s just that some prices can’t be seen with the naked eye." A faint but unmistakable worry flashed across Tainalasta’s exquisite face. "Especially those Evil Powers—their corrosion of a person’s sanity works all the more invisibly."
