Chapter 2185: Chapter 2185: Recovery
Regarding this question, Xie Wanying definitely doesn’t know, she shook her head at her mother.
The daughter seems to not know this handsome guy very well, Sun Rongfang thought. Ever since coming to the Capital, some things have left her confused, she sees them but doesn’t quite understand what they mean.
The mother and daughter continued to stroll around the market; today, the eldest cousin and his family of three are arriving in the Capital, so they need to buy more vegetables.
The two of them carried their vegetable baskets back to their residence and received a phone call saying people had arrived downstairs, so they hurried down to greet them.
A yellow taxi arrived at the entrance of the residential area.
A little girl jumped down from the car, her hair was tied in two little braids at the back of her head, her lively little eyes gave off a mischievous vibe, her small head was looking left and right, as if she was looking for someone.
Shang Siling, who hadn’t had time to get out of the car, called to her daughter: "Duoduo, have you seen your great-aunt and your cousin? They said they’d come to pick us up."
Xiao Duoduo tiptoed, looking over the residential area’s iron fence, vaguely seeing two figures walking towards the main entrance: it was her cousin and great-aunt.
"Did you see them?" Shang Siling asked after paying the cab driver, standing beside her daughter with her daughter’s pink Mickey backpack in hand.
She saw them, but the problem wasn’t quite who she wanted to find. Xiao Duoduo’s little eyebrows knitted, showing a hint of dissatisfaction.
"Ah, it’s them." Sun Rongfang pointed in the direction of the taxi ahead, quickening her pace.
"Aunt," Shang Siling followed her husband’s way of addressing the elder.
"Is this child Duoduo? She’s grown so big." Sun Rongfang measured the child’s height with her hand, "She’s almost as tall as my son."
"Hasn’t Youtian grown?" Shang Siling asked.
"He hasn’t grown, we have to wait until next year." Sun Rongfang hoped in her heart that her son would quickly grow taller and mature, and stop being mischievous.
"Where’s the eldest cousin?" Xie Wanying asked, seeing only her cousin-in-law and Duoduo on the scene, unsure of what’s going on.
"Your cousin remembered you like eating those candied haws. When the car just passed the intersection, he saw someone selling them and insisted on getting off to buy some for you to eat." Shang Siling said with a smile.
Eldest cousin is so considerate. Xie Wanying was deeply moved.
"Is Shugang feeling better?" Sun Rongfang asked, everyone knew that a few months ago, Xiao Shugang had narrowly escaped danger, undergoing two major surgeries.
"Much better." Talking about her husband’s current health, Shang Siling was genuinely in a good mood, responding with a smile, "He can now jog two laps around the school every day, a full eight hundred meters. If it weren’t for the doctor’s restrictions on him lifting heavy objects, he would have long felt he could do anything."
While the cousin-in-law and mom chatted, Xie Wanying went to the back of the taxi to help the driver take out her cousin and cousin-in-law’s suitcases, to avoid delaying the driver’s chance to earn money.
Shang Siling helped too, not letting the elders carry the luggage, saying, "Thank you so much. The hotels in the Capital are hard to book as we approach the Spring Festival."
Because they couldn’t book a hotel, with the landlord’s consent, Shang Siling and her family would be staying with Sun Rongfang and her son for a few days here.
"The ones you should be thanking definitely aren’t Yingying and me, you should thank the landlord. The house is lent to us by the landlord." Sun Rongfang said.
"Is the landlord here?" Shang Siling asked, eager to meet the kind-hearted person.
"No, they have gone far away. We are responsible for keeping their house clean during our stay." Sun Rongfang mentioned the condition for staying at the landlord’s place.
