Chapter 2176: Chapter 2176: Detected
This morning, we need to visit the ward to check on the VIP who underwent surgery last night. Zhang Huayao walked out of the office, with the rest forming a formidable group that, as usual, followed him like a swarm of bees.
Dr. Yuh, who stayed in the ward overnight as the on-duty doctor, delivered the frontline report to the leadership: "After the patient returned to the ward last night, the bleeding volume was somewhat high during the first hour. We promptly administered antifibrinolytic medication, and the situation stabilized; I have already reported to Doctor Du and the others."
Upon hearing about this sudden situation, Zhang Huayao questioned Du Yeqing: "Wasn’t there preventive treatment within the first hour post-surgery?"
"During the surgery, we noticed high thrombus growth. I thought we’d hold off on the medication and only intervene if there was a necessity," Du Yeqing replied.
The conversation between the two bosses indicated that Student Xie’s viewpoint last night was entirely correct. Geng Yongzhe silently cheered himself up: Student Xie is indeed formidable.
The bosses probably didn’t know it was Student Xie who first discovered this. Zhang Huayao merely praised Dr. Yuh: "Good job, quick response."
Upon receiving praise from the top leader, Dr. Yuh still felt a sense of shame and did not dare to claim credit.
Seeing no boastful expression on Dr. Yuh’s face, Zhang Huayao raised his eyebrows slightly, sensing something was off, then turned to Du Yeqing: "Did you instruct him to pay attention to these issues before you left?"
Du Yeqing shook his head: "No."
In actuality, he had instructed the laboratory on-duty doctor. Before leaving, he had ordered a blood test to assess the patient’s coagulation function about an hour after surgery and asked the lab to report the results to him.
Young doctors don’t require much instruction; it is a test. Providing the answers prematurely could affect the development of their minds. Dr. Yuh had been working here for half a year since graduation, during which it’s vital to gain clinical experience and shoulder responsibilities. If Dr. Yuh indeed made the decision, it would indicate progress deserving of commendation.
After pondering for a moment, Zhang Huayao directed his gaze from the denying Du Yeqing’s face to Shilei next door, squinted his eyes slightly, and asked: "Did you also find out anything?"
Shilei needn’t speak, opting to wait for Dr. Yuh to say it himself.
Even if Dr. Yuh remains silent, Zhang Huayao could probably deduce who it was. The measures didn’t come from Dr. Yuh; only a few people stayed in the ward overnight, and there was only one person likely to come up with a more precise answer than Dr. Yuh.
From Stone’s face, Zhang Huayao’s experienced gaze shrunk into a pinhole, and with a swift turn, he caught sight of someone standing ahead.
With leaders and teachers approaching, Xie Wanying wished to flee but couldn’t. Her right hand instinctively slipped into the pocket of her white coat, tightly clutching her phone as if wanting to cover up the truth.
When people get nervous, their brain seems to short-circuit, leading them to make mistakes.
In that moment, the teacher’s sharp gaze swept over, and Xie Wanying was suddenly awakened: she should have removed her hand from her pocket.
Too late, her action of withdrawing her hand seemed more suspicious.
Zhang Huayao fixed his eyes on her noticeably fluctuating right hand: ??
Following the top leader, others also noticed her seemingly odd hand movement.
Xie Wanying put all her effort into appearing calm.
Zhang Huayao gestured and called her: "Come here."
She walked over.
"Were you on duty here last night?" Zhang Huayao checked her, noting her hand was now hesitant to return to her pocket.
