Chapter 527: Erupting Potential
"Arghhhhhahh...." A brutal and shrill scream escaped from the lips of Jaden as he was assaulted by the overwhelming pain of having his legs cut off.
But there was not a hint of mercy in the eyes of Zena; she only gave a short glance at her brother, which Zen immediately understood and started to run back.
She held up her spear once more. Ready to pierce it straight into the head of Jaden.
But at that very instant, a powerful mental type sound attack reached her ears. Her eardrums burst like a balloon.
Her body was unable to move for a brief moment, which was enough for many things to happen. Jaden, without hesitation, ignoring his agonizing pain, used his life-saving artifact and teleported himself far away from Zena.
At the same time, a long-range fire-based attack filled with the terrifying power of a peak third phase smashed onto the stunned Zena while she was defenseless from the previous sonic attack. Taking the full brunt of it, with her physical body alone.
Boooooooooommmm!!!!
A female dressed in fiery red clothes appeared in front of Zena, and flames danced around her. Her scorching power as one of the strongest peak third-phase seekers radiated as brightly as a lamp lit in a dark room. For a moment, she surveyed her surroundings carefully.
Even though peak third-phase seekers from the Great Kingdoms side had descended onto the battlefield, there was no immediate retaliation from the enemy army. She could not help but narrow her eyes in suspicion.
But she was forced to stop that train of thought as the one she blasted, who was supposed to have died from that one powerful attack of hers, rose back up. A dark laughter escaped the lips of the women. A murderous wave of power filled with Demonic Energy spread all around.
Zena walked out, in a battered and bloody state, but the wide smile on her face made her look vicious and haunting, with the blood of Osiris still empowering her demonic energy. Her Berserker aspect filled her with even greater energy as she was injured.
So, contrary to her injured self, she was overflowing with even more power than before.
The fiery woman frowned visibly, but did not back down; her fighting spirit only became stronger. Manifesting a whip of scorching red flames, she swung it down with all of her might, without holding back. The blazing whip of flames sizzled through the air, coming towards Zena.
As if intent on swatting her like an insect.
But the flaming woman could never imagine that Zena was no insect to be swatted; she was a Tigress, a wild hunter of unprecedented Demonic might.
Zena had already coated the entire body of her runic spear with demonic energy, and with a single swing of her weapon. The flaming whip coming at her was shredded into pieces.
But her troubles did not end there. From the left corner, an unnoticeable wave of power was rushing at her madly. Another peak third-phase powerhouse was making a sword stab from a distance, filled with wind-cutting power, intending to pierce right through her heart in one go.
Zena instantly maneuvered her spear accordingly, as if she were already aware of it. With another swing of her spear, she deflected the sword stab with her colossal strength.
However, at this moment, her back was wide open for attack, something that another powerful enemy, whom she was unaware of, was trying to take advantage of this mistake of hers.
A green arrow that was completely inconceivable to the senses shot through the air, without causing any ripple of power. Filled with the deadliest of poison, it was aimed straight at her heart from behind.
The instant Zena noticed it, it was already too late. Because the peak third-phase swordsman and the fiery women were both preparing their attack once more. She had to be able to defend against it the next second.
With a grimace, as a last-ditch attempt, she could only move her body slightly and took the arrow on the back of her left shoulder guard, but the arrow was stronger than she could have imagined. It pierced right through her shoulder, and the bloody tip of it came out of the front.
Sharp pain of having her shoulder pierced and the poison causing disaster within her body, both of which hit her head like a sledgehammer.
Ignoring the pain, with a burst of her demonic energy and a furious roar akin to that of a crazed beast whose blood boiled with rage, she attacked the two enemies at the front once more.
Thus, Zena alone was besieged by the combined assault of three extremely powerful peak third-phase seekers. Not only that, hundreds of initial third-phase soldiers from the Great Kingdom’s armies were coming to help subdue her.
In a situation as desperate as this, with just one small mistake on her side, she would end up dead.
BOOOOM!!!!!
A terrifying explosion rocked the surroundings. Her injuries worsened as she barely managed to survive the two attacks.
Violent flames had washed over her entire figure, scorching her skin, making her look like a charred black humanoid. She almost looked dead, hit by a fiery AOE attack, as she wasn’t able to defend against it properly.
Her charred skin began to peel off, revealing her muscles and blood vessels beneath. The moment she opened her eyes, Zena’s eyes had turned bloody red in color. Her pupil shrank, making a strange cubic shape.
There was unbridled madness in that gaze, but along with that madness came a violent burst of power; the demon bloodline within her roared in retaliation like never before.
With all the charred skin of her falling off, she looked like a monster made of red flesh and wriggling black veins.
That sight was so jarring that her three mighty enemies were petrified from shock.
Only then did they realize that the enemy they were facing was no human, but something monstrous, an abomination they could not hope to understand.
Zena smiled, as if to incite that already prevalent terror in her enemies even further, into an overwhelming crescendo.
A string of words fell onto the ears of the three peak third-phase existences, almost as if a Demon had whispered it into their ears.
"Switch Aspect..." Zena whispered in a hushed tone.
[Switching from Primary aspect Berserker to Secondary aspect Knight]
[Re-calibrating physiology]
[You have gained greater control over the unique stat of Demonic Energy]
[Your demon bloodline has been overstimulated]
In a matter of a few seconds, all the skin on her body grew back, and all the injuries she suffered were gone. She was as good as new. Tilting her head with a mocking grin. She pounced forward at her enemies once more.

Back when Zena first dashed towards her brother, Wangnan did the same, diving towards Lucien Suncrest.
Due to the swift nature of Wangnan’s attack, Lucien was completely caught off guard.
Because from the moment Wangnan appeared out of the fog zone, the Corrupted Elf made sure not to leak any intent towards Lucien apart from a brief look, which Lucien had failed to notice.
In the midst of his own brutal battle to make sure that he would kill all the Six royal heirs of the Minor Kingdoms, Lucien failed to notice the true enemy coming for his life.
Squelch.....
And just like that, out of nowhere, his only remaining hand was also severed neatly by the slash of the Corrupted Elf.
With both hands gone, one would think that the Golden Prince was done for, but Wangnan did not hesitate for a single moment. Not an ounce of mercy in his eyes, because he remembered...the words spoken by Gareth.
The man had instructed Wangnan specifically, "You are not allowed to kill Enrick, Jaden, and Thorian. But upon facing Lucien Suncrest, no matter his condition. Do not show the slightest bit of mercy. Treat him as if you would treat your greatest enemy. Without holding back in the slightest."
Gareth added in a grave tone, "Because he is the one and only Chosen One of this world. If you treat him lightly, it would be you who ends up dead."
Wangnan did not make light of those warnings from the most Trusted subordinate of his Lord, because in truth all those warnings from Gareth and the subsequent plans were all personally crafted by his Lord himself.
Gareth was merely a carrier acting on behalf of the machinations of Osiris.
All of these thoughts merely flashed in his mind in a fraction of a second, but he continued to move, rotating his body immediately after cutting Lucien’s arm. Wangnan slashed right towards the throat of Lucien, intending to sever his head.
But to his shock, in that moment of life and death, it was as if all the potential hidden in the depths of Lucien Suncrest burst forth like a raging, unstoppable tsunami.
The Golden Prince, who was without hands, opened his mouth wide like a monster and bit down on Wangnan’s runic blade—catching it with the sheer force of his teeth.
Wangnan was shocked; in fact, the sheer force of it was so strong that even with his colossal might, for a second, he found himself unable to get the sword out of Lucien’s bite.
And then...
Cracks spread through the rune sword, and the weapon shattered with a burst of energy as if it were made of cheap glass.
