Chapter 1768: Chapter 1768: Heading to the Association
Leaving the Tianqi World.
Chen Feng and Lu Ying returned to that dark alley.
Mu Dongcheng had been waiting there for a long time. When he saw the two come out, he quickly came forward to greet them.
"Xiaofeng, Yingying, are you two okay?" Mu Dongcheng asked with a face full of concern.
"We’re fine!" Chen Feng shook his head. Then he pointed at Lu Ying and said with a smile, "The problem inside Lu Ying’s body has been completely solved! She’s fine now!"
"Really? That’s great!"
Mu Dongcheng’s face immediately broke into a smile. Then he looked around, swallowed nervously, and asked somewhat fearfully, "Um, where’s Wu Xiaofu?"
Chen Feng smiled, "He and his mother have been reunited. Now the two of them are on their way to reincarnation!"
"That’s good! That’s good!" Mu Dongcheng patted his chest and let out a long breath.
After all, he was still a bit afraid of this ghost, Wu Xiaofu.
If Chen Feng hadn’t said this, he would always feel like Wu Xiaofu was right beside him, sending chills up his spine.
"Let’s go. We need to hurry back to Lu Ying’s house; otherwise, her mother will start to worry!"
Chen Feng looked at Mu Dongcheng and said with a smile.
"Okay!" Mu Dongcheng nodded.
Then the two of them held little Lu Ying’s hand, walked out of the alley, and headed toward Lu Ying’s house.
The dark alley was actually not far from Lu Ying’s house. Although they took quite a detour coming, the return journey seemed particularly fast.
Before long, they arrived at the door of Lu Ying’s house.
At that moment, Lu Ying’s mother, Zhao Fang, was looking around anxiously at the door, her face full of worry.
After all, Lu Ying was still young and had been out for such a long time without any sign of coming back.
This worried Zhao Fang terribly.
"Yingying!" Zhao Fang called out anxiously, looking around for Lu Ying.
Just then.
Chen Feng and Mu Dongcheng appeared in Zhao Fang’s sight with Lu Ying.
Zhao Fang was stunned for a moment, then quickly rushed forward and hugged Lu Ying tightly, her face full of concern as she asked, "Where have you been, young lady? You really worried me to death!"
"I was with Uncle the whole time! Uncle even played soccer with me!" Lu Ying pouted and said.
She didn’t dare to tell Zhao Fang about Wu Xiaofu.
Upon hearing this, Zhao Fang finally looked up at Chen Feng.
For Chen Feng, Zhao Fang felt a heartfelt respect.
Because, in her heart, Chen Feng was Lu Ying’s savior.
If it weren’t for Chen Feng, Lu Ying would still be unconscious in bed now.
"Mr. Chen, you’ve been such a great help!" Zhao Fang said to Chen Feng, feeling a bit embarrassed.
"It’s nothing!" Chen Feng smiled and shook his head, then said, "The issues inside Lu Ying have been completely resolved, so she won’t faint again in the future!"
"Really?" Zhao Fang’s face lit up with joy. She immediately gave Chen Feng a deep bow, saying gratefully, "Mr. Chen, thank you so much. I don’t even know what to say!"
"No need to be so formal!" Chen Feng waved his hand with a smile, "This is what I should do!"
"But I still have to thank you!" Zhao Fang said, full of gratitude.
"Mom, I’m hungry. Have you made dinner?"
Lu Ying looked at Zhao Fang, rubbing her little tummy, and pouted.
Upon hearing this.
Zhao Fang was taken aback for a moment, then quickly looked at Chen Feng and Mu Dongcheng, saying somewhat embarrassingly, "Oh, look at my memory! Please come in quickly; let’s not stand here talking!"
Upon saying that.
Zhao Fang led the way inside.
Chen Feng and Mu Dongcheng followed with little Lu Ying, the group walking into Lu Ying’s house.
Sitting at the table.
Zhao Fang soon placed the dishes on the table, adding bowls and chopsticks for Chen Feng and Mu Dongcheng, saying warmly, "You two must be hungry. Let’s eat first and talk after!"
Chen Feng and Mu Dongcheng didn’t stand on ceremony.
The two hadn’t really eaten much all day, only having a small bite at the landlord’s place.
As the day was about to end, they were both starving and started eating as soon as they picked up their bowls.
After they had eaten heartily.
Chen Feng put down his chopsticks, looked at Zhao Fang, and smiled, "Ms. Zhao, have you considered my previous proposal?"
"Do you mean letting Lu Ying become your apprentice?" Zhao Fang was taken aback and asked, a bit puzzled.
"Yes! I think this girl has a great talent for medicine. With proper training, she could become excellent!" Chen Feng smiled and nodded.
"But doesn’t that mean Yingying will have to leave the small town with you?" Zhao Fang asked, somewhat reluctantly.
"Leaving is inevitable, and you can come along too. Besides, after this incident, it may not be safe for you and your daughter to stay in this small town," Chen Feng nodded and said.
"Mr. Chen, do you mean... the person who harmed Lu Ying... might come back?" Zhao Fang asked with a worried look.
"Yes, there are things that I can’t elaborate on, but that person is quite formidable and has his own influence behind him. They could come back for revenge at any time. If you and your daughter fall into their hands, it would be even more dangerous. So, I want to take you both with me, as a way to protect you!"
Chen Feng nodded and said.
"This..." Zhao Fang hesitated.
Having lived in the small town for so many years, leaving suddenly was still a bit reluctant for her.
