Chapter 1552: Chapter 1550: Outside the Box

"You suspect that the world you’re in is just a box?" Richard was stunned, because the implication of this statement was indeed significant.

"Is this the machine you said can directly pierce the box and reach the outside?" Richard pointed to the capsule container and asked.

"No." Coret shook his head in response, "This isn’t the machine for going outside the box; the machine for going outside is much more complex and far larger than this."

"Then what is this?"

"This is a safety pod. When we enter it, it can significantly reduce the damage to our bodies during high-speed movement, ensuring the body remains unharmed." Coret explained, "Otherwise, you and I would suffer bodily rupture and death within a minute, and would have to find a way to utilize data to reconstruct the soul and revive by injecting it into a backup body—though effective, it’s troublesome, so it’s better to enter the safety pod."

"Safety pod?" Richard blinked and asked earnestly, "By the way, where are we now? Could we be inside a spaceship in space?"

Coret smiled faintly, didn’t answer, just gently tapped the air in front of him with his finger.

"Swoosh!"

The entire room, connected rooms, and corridor swiftly turned semi-transparent. Richard looked around and realized he was indeed inside a huge spaceship.

This spaceship was anchored on the far side of an asteroid, avoiding the intense radiation of a massive red star.

"See it clearly?" Coret tapped the air once more, and the rooms and corridor returned to normal, vision shielded once more.

Coret stepped into one of the capsule containers and said to Richard, "If you see it clearly, hurry and get in. I’ve waited too long to go outside the box, I don’t want to wait any longer."

"Alright." Richard didn’t waste any more words, quickly entering another capsule container.

After entry, the container’s shell automatically locked down, followed by the rising of a pale blue cold liquid from the bottom.

Richard felt his body becoming cold and his consciousness starting to blur, unable to resist falling asleep.

In the last second before falling asleep, he heard a voice echo: "Uni One, beginning transition to predetermined destination, activating transition energy source."

"Energy source activated."

"Powering up."

After a long time, Richard awoke, opened the capsule container and stepped out, seeing Coret emerging from the container beside him.

At this moment, the room and corridor turned semi-transparent again, and Coret squinted, looking at a dark void in the distance with a slightly grave expression.

Richard followed his gaze, saw nothing, and curiously asked Coret, "Where is the machine you mentioned? Why did you bring me here? Why not put the machine on the spaceship, wouldn’t it be more convenient?"

"Larger than a planet? Almost like a black hole?" Richard, although unable to see the machine’s form, was indeed somewhat shocked, "Such a huge machine must consume unimaginable resources, it might cause irreversible impacts on your world. By the way, isn’t there anyone, or any companions, trying to stop you from executing such a crazy plan?"

"Companions?" Coret chuckled and replied, "Do you know why my spaceship is called ’Uni One’? Because I am the only person left in this world now."

"They’re all dead?"

"No, they all vanished; one day, they just disappeared, never to be seen again."

"Why?"

"I want to know why, which is why I want to go outside the box. In my view, maybe only the operator of the box modified a parameter, leading to this. And if modifying a parameter can make others disappear, it can make me disappear too. I don’t want to disappear, so I must go outside the box."

"It seems like your days before this were even harder than mine in the virtual world." After a while, Richard said.

As Coret finished speaking, Richard felt the whole spaceship suddenly shake, develop cracks, and be sucked forward by a powerful force, really like being drawn into a black hole.

Finally, a milky-white light exploded from the center of the darkness, expanding exponentially, swallowing everything in the blink of an eye.

As he was engulfed, Richard couldn’t help thinking that the white light he once saw destroying the Ancient Wizard Civilization in the images from Heaven seemed like this.
