Chapter 231: Forgiveness

Neil hugged Ileana, even her strength had risen to the 4th Origin Mythic Class.

It would have been great if he could evolve his domain to the 5th Order, but that would be too difficult.

His strength was high and he could probably easily take on the powerful lords, but it would take time.

At the 5th Origin, the lords and their subjects must already be very strong with all sorts of defenses.

So even he would have to be careful, and exposing his phantom side would make everyone target him.

’Maybe in the lost elven kingdom I can find a few domain cores...’ he thought, and if he could really bring his domain along then that would be really great.

He finally looked at Bob and Rob and was surprised to see big dark circles under their eyes, they practically looked like zombies.

"Haha, what happened to you all?" Neil couldn’t help but laugh.

"Uh, nothing, we have just been working a bit more lately." Bob replied, even his voice sounded like a zombie.

"You should just rest for now, you both have done enough. Take it easy for now." After speaking, he sat down and Ileana sat on his other side.

"Welcome back..." Jane spoke, then remembered that it was her who had gone outside while Neil had been in the domain.

So, was welcome back the right thing to say here?

"Heh, thanks." Neil laughed, as Fay served him food, even her strength had risen and so, the food had become far better.

"Lord, this dish has a special effect, after eating you won’t feel tired for at least a day." Fay said excitedly, happy to finally be of more help to everyone.

"Hmm, thank you." Neil began to eat while chatting with the others, there wasn’t much happening.

But things had been quite hectic in the settlement thanks to his evolution and in these days there had been quite a lot of attackers.

All of which had been taken care of by Randy personally.

Neil decided to meet him later, he didn’t feel threatened by him anymore and could trust him more.

They chatted for a while and then Neil, Ileana and Jane strolled around the domain.

Ileana returned to sleep first and Neil could understand what the two women were thinking.

Ileana was giving him time to spend some personal time with Jane and for their relationship to properly become untangled.

Allowing all past misunderstandings to disappear.

"Uh..." clearing her throat, Jane spoke softly:

"I am sorry about what I did before, it was because of those circumstances but I was the one who hurt you. I have regretted my choice and words all this time."

Even while thinking of being abandoned by him, Jane’s eyes became teary, she took a step and turned to face him.

"I am really sorry, so please can we once again become like before? Not for a second in my life have I stopped loving you. Just forgive me once..." she asked, tightly clutching his clothes.

He didn’t ask her to leave and even let her sleep in his bedroom, that already made her a lot happier.

But she wanted to be his lover again, to be as precious as Ileana to him or even a little less, that would be fine.

Neil didn’t say anything right away, looking into her eyes, and he could feel her emotions.

She really had been honest, and Neil felt she had already repented enough.

Though he didn’t know about the heart condition she developed after they separated.

Taking a deep breath, he took a step forward and pulled Jane into his embrace, there was a brief silence.

Finally, Neil spoke: "This is the last time. If, no matter the situation, you do something like that again then I would never even look at you again."

Jane could no longer hold back her tears, she cried and thanked Neil, promising never to make such a stupid choice again.

After a few emotional minutes, the two returned to the domain.

Jane went directly into the main building, however Ileana was in the healing hut.

Neil first went to check up on Ileana, and she just told him to go with Jane.

She told him that she was going to spend this night here so he could spend some time with Jane.

Although she acted alright, Neil knew she must be feeling a little sad inside.

He hugged her and gave a gentle kiss on her lips, but didn’t refuse her.

Since Jane was going to be a part of his life now, he wanted to give her a proper fresh start.

As Neil left, Ileana’s expression changed, thankfully there was Fay to keep her company.

...

Neil stepped into his bedroom and his breath caught in his throat at the sight before him.

Jane was sitting on the edge of the bed, her back slightly turned away, wearing nothing but a thin silk nightgown that barely concealed her perfect body. The pale fabric clung to her curves, outlining the shape of her breasts, the delicate slope of her waist, the subtle swell of her hips. Her dark hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall of midnight silk.

Behind her, through the window, he could see the distant lights of the settlement and the vast darkness of space beyond, but his entire focus was on the woman before him.

When she heard him close the door, Jane slowly turned to face him. Her bright eyes, usually so cold and emotionless, were now nervous with something else—desire mixed with uncertainty, vulnerability mixed with anticipation.

"You came," she said, her voice carrying that familiar cold edge she always used, though he could detect the slight tremor beneath it now.

"I wouldn’t be anywhere else," Neil replied, stepping further into the room. "How long do we have?"

"Until morning," Jane said quietly. "Ileana said she would stay in the healing hut for as long as we need. She... she understands."

Neil closed the distance between them in quick strides. Without hesitation, he cupped her face in his hands, tilting her chin upward, and kissed her deeply with all the passion and desperation he had been holding back.

Jane gasped against his lips, and then her hands came up to grip his shoulders, pulling him closer. Her mouth opened to him, and Neil deepened the kiss, his tongue sliding between her lips, tasting her, memorizing the sweetness of her mouth.

When they finally separated, both were breathing heavily, their foreheads touching.

"I almost lost you," Jane whispered, her voice barely audible. "Because of my weakness, because I couldn’t stand up to them fast enough, I almost lost you forever."

"You didn’t lose me," Neil said, his voice rough with emotion. "I’m here. I’m always going to be here. And tonight, I’m going to show you exactly how much I love you. How much I need you."

Jane’s cheeks flushed a deep crimson red, spreading down her neck and across her shoulders. She looked away, that cold composure trying to reassert itself even as her body trembled slightly beneath his touch.

"I don’t know—" she started, but Neil interrupted her by running his hands down her arms slowly.

"You don’t have to know anything," he said softly. "Just feel. Feel me, Jane. Feel what I feel for you. That’s all I want tonight."

He leaned down and kissed her again, this time slower, more deliberate, more tender. His hands moved to the tie of her nightgown, and he felt Jane tense beneath his touch, her breathing becoming shallow.

"Tell me to stop if you want me to," he whispered against her lips, giving her an out even though he desperately didn’t want her to take it.

Jane didn’t tell him to stop.

Instead, she shook her head slightly, and Neil pulled the tie loose. The nightgown fell open, revealing her body to him completely. For a long moment, he simply looked at her, taking in every detail.

She was pale perfection—unblemished skin that seemed to glow in the soft light of the room. Her breasts were small but beautifully formed, with soft pink nipples that were already beginning to harden from the cool air. Her waist was delicate and narrow, her hips curved perfectly, and between her thighs was a small patch of dark hair guarding her most intimate place.

"You’re so beautiful," he breathed, and he meant every single word with absolute sincerity. "Jane, you’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen in my entire life."

Jane’s flush deepened, and she looked away, embarrassed by his intense gaze and his words.

"Don’t hide from me," Neil said gently, taking her chin and turning her face back toward his. "Not tonight. Tonight, I want to see all of you. Every part of you."

Jane nodded slowly, biting her lower lip nervously as her pale eyes met his.

Neil reached for his own clothes, pulling his shirt over his head and discarding it on the floor. Jane’s eyes immediately fixed on his chest, watching as the muscles flexed beneath his skin. He removed his pants and underwear in one motion, his hard cock springing free, already fully erect and ready for her.

Jane’s eyes widened slightly as she stared at his erection. He could see the mixture of anticipation and apprehension in her gaze, mixed with something else—hunger, desire, curiosity.

"Don’t worry," Neil said, taking her hand and placing it on his chest, letting her feel his racing heartbeat. "I’ll make sure you’re ready. I’ll make sure it doesn’t hurt more you at all."
