Chapter 194: Ch-194: Sudden appearance of a Dungeon
Next Morning
Emily, the head maid of the Hall Duchy, was walking down the corridor that would lead her to one of the grandest rooms in the palace, which was currently being occupied by Amber and Victor. Her eyebrows twitched as she thought about the relationship between Amber and Victor, as well as the Duke’s plan. She did not like that Emily was the second woman of Victor. ’Sigh, nothing can be done, even Duke Hilbert had many women.’
A few minutes later, Emily stopped when she was five meters away from the large door with a confused expression.
"What’s that..."
She noticed that, underneath the door, a crystalline liquid of mysterious origin was slowly but surely seeping out. In addition, Emily soon realized that there was also a strange smell wafting through the air.
Suddenly, Emily’s expression changed slightly as a thought flashed through her mind. Her body trembled and her cheeks soon took on a faint pink hue.
"Damn, these two in a new place are doing this." Emily cursed, then took a deep breath and was about to knock on the door, but the next scene she saw shook her so much that she almost fell onto her buttocks.
The small puddle of crystalline liquid she had seen before suddenly grew a little... Not only did it grow, but it became thicker than before!
’They are still at it,’ she cursed as her heart skipped a beat.
Suddenly, a voice came from behind her. "Sigh, they are still at it. Emily, it’s fine, we can come back later."
"M-Miss!" Emily, like a startled cat, jumped backwards and saw Rina standing with a calm look.
Emily nodded and then followed behind Rina. While walking, she could not help but say, "Miss, are you okay with this?"
"Why wouldn’t I be? Do you think I would be jealous? Don’t forget, as nobles we have been educated about the possibility of sharing a man, so it’s not a big deal. I came in second, while Amber is first."
Hearing this, Emily wanted to say something but shook her head. ’She is calm, why should I bother?’

Oreburgh Estate
The place looked completely barren, and there was not a single sign of life. Instead, the entire territory was infested by thousands of undead of various races. Currently, everyone was kneeling before a giant bone throne where the Oreburgh Castle previously stood.
On the giant throne, a graceful young undead woman was sitting with her legs crossed and her chin resting on her palms as she looked at the undead army kneeling below her with a satisfied expression.
"Not bad. Finally, the army is complete, and I can say I am very close to becoming an Undead Queen," Fanna, Amber’s undead mother, said with a smug look on her face. She then looked at the undead man beside her, who was covered in bruises and trembled when he felt Fanna’s gaze, keeping his head down.
This was obviously Pluto, who had suffered under his ex-wife’s hands for all the things he had done to her while alive, as punishment for killing him. Even though he was now an undead, it did not mean he did not feel pain, and the past week had been nothing but hell for him, as Fanna used all kinds of torture methods on him and had completely tamed him, destroying any form of rebellion in his mind.
"Dear, do you want to say something?" Fanna’s mocking voice rang out as Pluto flinched and replied, "Of course not, Master."
At first, he was reluctant to call her master, but after being beaten and tortured, he no longer dared to challenge her orders.
"Hmph," Fanna snorted as she looked at her army and thought, ’This should be enough to go and conquer the Silvernum Territory... honestly, I think I overestimated that Baron.’
Fanna knew where her daughter Amber was, which was something she learned from that abated Pluto. So she investigated him as she conquered nearby territories, and some undead knew about Victor and informed her about him being a powerful warlock with mutated bloodline. Even then, she did not believe he could take down both her and Pluto along with the army while he was only Tier 1, even if he could fight above his own tier.
Fanna gracefully rose up from her seat, and every undead including Pluto immediately went down into a dogeza position.
"My army," Fanna said in a proud voice which rang across the area as she continued, "Today, we have conquered everything— all the territories, whether belonging to humans or beasts— and made them part of the undead army, and have finally transformed into an Undead Kingdom. In the future, I will lead you all to turn this Kingdom into an Undead Empire."
Hearing this, the intelligent undead became excited, imagining themselves inheriting lands. Yes, even though they are undead, they have hierarchy among themselves like humans and other races.
"But I lack an heir..." Fanna said as her eyes swept over her army, which burst into chatter. "I have a daughter from my time as a human. I will march today to Silvernum Barony and get my daughter back and make her the heir. I ask—are you with me?"
Fanna said loudly, and there was a pin-drop silence for a few seconds.
Scree
Roar
Neigh
The undead army below burst into cheers as they started shouting. Just as they were about to march towards the Silvernum Barony, something unexpected happened.
Rumble
"Hmm?" Fanna raised an eyebrow and her head snapped toward the sky. The undead army also fell silent as they looked up.
The sky slowly turned blood red, and a small tear in space appeared above them.
"What’s happening?" Fanna frowned, and then her face turned pale as she realized, "Hurry, dodge!"
She shouted, but to no avail, as a thick red beam descended onto the army, and the next moment the entire army along with Fanna vanished into thin air.

Back in the real world
UK, London
As one of the largest cities in the United Kingdom, the place was completely packed with pedestrians going about their day. Since the game had become reality and people had become Awakeners, many of them were now carrying swords and daggers like right now.
Rumble
Suddenly, right above Big Ben, there was a huge spike of mana, which many Awakeners among the pedestrians detected. They stopped, looked up at Big Ben, and started shouting.
"What the hell? This mana... I’ve never felt this much mana before— not even in games!" an Awakener who had suddenly unsheathed his sword said, looking pale as he clenched it in his palm.
"Someone call the Awakeners Association! There’s been a massive signature!"
The pedestrians who were not Awakeners frowned as they saw so many Awakeners suddenly pause, and they were hit by a wave of unease.
They were about to speak when suddenly the sky darkened and then—
Rumble
Right above Big Ben, a huge red portal formed, crackling with red lightning.
Seeing this, the pedestrians’ faces turned pale as they shouted:
"Hey, hey, aren’t these the same Dungeons that have been reported by the media? Why did one appear here all of a sudden?"
"This portal is way, way larger than any portal!"
Both Awakeners and non-Awakeners panicked, and many of them started running away in fear as they did not know what kind of monster would descend. Even though the government had tried to hide the news about the portals, it was impossible as there were thousands of portals that had appeared, and some of them even had a few strong monsters emerging from them.
One hour later
The area near Big Ben had already become desolate, and any elites from the Awakeners Association and the military from NATO had stationed their forces there.
The news reporters, who were trying to get the Awakeners—who were as silent as mutes—to speak, had their faces turn green from frustration. But suddenly, their eyes lit up when they saw someone.
"Lance!"
"Awakener Lance!"
"Headmaster! Master, a question!"
"Headmaster Lance, what do you have to say about the sudden portal?"
Headmaster Lance’s brows twitched under the bombardment of questions, but he did not say a word and walked toward the temporary camp, where many researchers and scientists had been stationed to investigate the large dungeon.
He expressionlessly entered the tent and looked at the head researcher, asking in a cold voice, "Well? Any results? What’s up with this huge portal?"
Even he was genuinely shocked when he saw the size of the portal; it seemed like a giant beast or an entire army was behind it, ready to invade. He felt a chill thinking about it and hoped that was not the case.
The researcher broke out in a cold sweat and wanted to cry. ’How do I say we couldn’t figure out anything, and the only thing we learned is that the mana quantity is at least 100x higher than other dungeons?’
The researcher wiped his sweat and was about to say something when someone burst into the camp.
Seeing this, Lance’s expression darkened, while the researcher silently prayed, ’Damn, I hope a disaster strikes and he gets distracted.’
"Don’t you have any manners? Why did you enter without permission?" Lance asked in displeasure.
"Leader, something happened. You have to come and see!" the soldier said in a panicked tone, and Lance’s heart skipped a beat.
Without saying anything, he exited the tent, and the head researcher also curiously followed behind, silently thanking God. ’Thank you, Lord, for providing a distraction.’
The moment Lance stepped outside, his face turned pale when he saw cracks appearing on the portal.
"Oh no, the portal is going to break?" Lance’s eyes widened as he cursed. He had seen this phenomenon before.
The head researcher behind him almost fainted seeing this and wanted to cry. He did not expect his wish for a distraction to be so expensive. ’Me and my foul mouth...’
