Chapter 188: Ch-188: Amber vs Duke Brightflame
"AHHHHHHH... DAMN YOU ALL!" Duke Brightflame screamed hoarsely as he felt the restraint on him vanish and charged toward them like a madman.
Rina’s expression changed when she saw Duke Brightflame’s hand transform into a lava-covered arm.
"Damn, did his bloodline evolve?" Rina said as sweat dripped from her forehead.
"Oh, I did not expect to meet another person with a magma bloodline, and this is an NPC," Victor blinked in surprise as he saw magma dripping from the Duke’s arm.
He never expected there would be another magma bloodline user besides Regal. He had met magma bloodline users in the past other than Regal, but not in the Kingdom of Eindrik.
’Maybe he died early, just like he will now,’ Victor mused inwardly and was about to charge in and attack the Duke, but paused when he saw someone else taking the initiative.
"I will deal with this," Amber said as a black ice sword materialized in her hands and she charged toward the Duke, who was consumed by anger.
Duke Brightflame, whose eyes were red with rage, scoffed when he saw the ice.
’Hmph, do you think just because the color of the ice is different, you can handle magma?’
But the next moment, his expression changed as he exclaimed,
"What?!"
The moment the black ice sword touched his magma fist, the temperature inside the magma dropped, and even small traces of black frost appeared on the magma-covered arm.

Duke Brightflame gritted his teeth as he found himself being hurled backward by the sword, coughing up a mouthful of blood.
’As expected, my instincts were right. Both of them are dangerous.’
The undead leader narrowed his eyes at Amber warily and then looked at Victor, who was staring at him eagerly.
"Damn, looks like I need to go all out and can’t afford to hold back... not that I was planning to anyway," Duke Brightflame said as he looked at Amber with bloodshot eyes.
He raised his hand and started chanting something.
"What’s he doing?" Amber muttered with a raised eyebrow as she felt the mana around him grow stronger with each chant.
Soon, a magical circle appeared beneath him, and large amounts of magma poured out from it as the temperature around him rapidly increased.
"That’s... a summoning circle."
Amber’s eyes widened in surprise.
Summoning circles were a special bloodline ability that allowed a user to make a contract with a beast that fought on their behalf. People with such abilities were also known as beast tamers.
"Holy shit, what dogshit luck does this guy have? Not only did his fire bloodline evolve, but he also gained a secondary bloodline," Emily gasped as she wiped the blood from her hands and stood beside Rina, looking at Duke Brightflame in disbelief.
’Damn, we won’t lose, right...? If you do, I’m the one who’s going to be completely screwed.’
Emily thought as she gulped nervously and looked at the duo, silently cheering for Amber inwardly.

Soon, a large bird made of magma emerged from the magic circle.
The bird was really big, about two meters tall, with a wingspan of approximately six meters. The beast had two legs, and its half-meter-long beak seemed capable of piercing through anything.
However, the most striking thing about the monster was its eyes. The bird’s eyes were bright gold and seemed to possess a certain level of intelligence.
The entire bird was made of pure flowing magma. Every time it flapped its wings, large amounts of magma would drip to the ground.

The mech army, which had been frozen in shock at the sight of the magma wave, quickly reacted and hurriedly moved back several meters.
"Damn, what’s going on? And is that the Brightflame bastard?" Rina and Emily, who were watching the battle with bated breaths alongside their army, were startled and looked back. They saw Hilbert, who had partially recovered, arriving along with Elanor and several Hall Duchy soldiers.

"Lord Hilbert!"
Both Rina and Emily exclaimed upon seeing Hilbert arrive.

Just as he was about to raise a light shield, a cold voice interrupted him.
"Freeze."
As soon as the word fell, the incoming magma wave, along with the smug smile on Duke Brightflame’s face, froze instantly.
The magma wave transformed into solid black ice, and the next moment it exploded into countless tiny ice crystals.
"M-Monster..."
Duke Brightflame looked at Amber, who had transformed into her succubus form and was staring at him with pure indifference.
’Heavens, what kind of transformation is that? My instincts are screaming at me. She has become far more dangerous.’
Duke Brightflame exclaimed inwardly as he looked at Amber warily.
"Hey, Duke, can you die for me?"
Amber gave the Duke a seductive smile.
The Duke’s eyes glazed over for a moment, and just as he was about to slit his own throat, he snapped out of his daze and broke into a cold sweat.
’Damn, what kind of charm is this? This is no different from mind control.’
"Tsk, looks like we need to do it the hard way," Amber said as she clicked her tongue.
The next moment, she sensed something and looked back. Her pupils constricted.
"What?!"
She saw a blue ice beam moving toward her at high speed and aiming for a vital spot.
Just as it was about to strike, a black lightning bolt appeared right beside the blue ice beam and collided with it, sending the ice beam flying into the distance.

As soon as the ice beam collided with the ground, an area with a radius of nearly one kilometer was instantly frozen solid.
