Chapter 141: Ch-141: Buying House and Uproar

Victoe walked inside a large luxurious building and walked towards the counter.

" Excuse me, I was told by the American bank an agent would meet me, my name is Victor" Vicor said as the lady tore her eyes away from the computer and looked at Victor.

" Can I have your full name?" the lady asked.

" Yes, it’s Victor Vanglory" Vicor said and the receptionist entered his name into her system and the next moment when Victor’s information appeared on the screen her eyes widened.

’ Holy shit, he is the same age as me and already a self-made billionaire’ the lady looked at Vicor and then at Amber who narrowed her eyes at her and thought, ’ Sigh, if he did not have such a beautiful woman by his side, I would have made my move or at least taken him to bed for benefits’

The receptionist painted a polite smile and said, " I will get the agent who has been assigned to you"

The lady hurriedly left and then Vicor heard a commotion from inside and the next moment a middle-aged handsome man walked out from inside wearing a black suit.

" Hello, Mr. Vanglory, my name is Smith, and I have been assigned by the bank to show you the properties" Smith said with a smile as he looked at Victor.

" Is this agency also owned by the bank?" Vicor asked with a raised eyebrow.

" Indeed, and many of our customers buy luxury houses from us" the agent said and then asked Vicor, " Mr. Vanglory, do you have a specific house or location you were looking for?"

" Yes, the maximum budget for the house is $500 million" Vicor said nonchalantly and Smith froze and even the receptionist looked at Vicor with shocked eyes.

" ... Sir, I didn’t hear you properly, did you just say $500 million?"

" Yes, is it a problem?" Vicor said calmly.

He could understand their reaction as only multi-billionaires buy such expensive houses while Victor had just made a few billions. Well, he was not bothered as he could always sell rare items on Earth and earn money.

Smith was speechless for a moment before his face flushed and he looked at Vicor with excited eyes.

" Do you have a location in mind?" Smith asked.

"Hmm, it should be close to the Imperial Awakeners Academy. My girlfriend Amber Goldburn and I will both enroll there after I pass the test" Vicor said as he pointed at Amber who was silently watching them.

" ... I see, you are both Awakeners" this time Smith said with much more respect.

" We do indeed have free properties there. If you want, I can take you both there, Miss Goldburn and Mr. Vanglory" Smith said as he looked at the pair.

" Sure" Vicor said with a shrug.

"Very well. Please follow me. We have prepared transportation for you all."

Victor and Amber followed Agent Smith to the parking lot, where a luxurious Rolls-Royce Phantom was parked.

’Tsk, real estate agents sure are rich,’ Victor licked his lips inwardly as he walked towards the car.

Once they were seated, Smith got into the driver’s seat and personally drove, acting as their chauffeur despite his status.

Before they started moving, he personally handed them a tablet and said, "While I drive towards the properties, you both can look at the properties."

Victor opened the tablet as Amber leaned towards him and started browsing through it.

"There are only a dozen. I thought you would at least have more than 30," Victor said with a raised eyebrow.

"Of course, we had more, but most of them were bought recently by VIP customers who also awakened just like you both. You two are lucky we still have some left," Smith said with a smile, and Victor nodded.

"Did you see anything that caught your eye?" Victor asked Amber, who looked at the houses with a frown.

"Hm, these houses are very different from what you see in the Kingdom of Eindrik. None of these houses are castles and they seem way smaller, but I guess I will choose this one," Amber replied as she handed the tablet back to Victor.

Victor raised an eyebrow as he looked at the house and thought, ’Of course.’

The property Amber chose looked like that of an old aristocrat and screamed old money. Of course, she, who had lived in castles, would prefer this medieval-style house, and this seemed to be the most expensive and spacious.

"Have you picked something you liked?" Smith asked, seeing them whispering.

"Yes, we have. Actually, take us to this place," Victor said as he handed the tablet back to Smith.

"Oh..." Smith was surprised they picked this. In his eyes, they were a couple of youngsters, and he assumed they would usually choose modern homes. But inwardly, he was very happy, as this was the most expensive house out of all the options.

About half an hour later, they arrived at the first location, which was a large mansion in the middle of a wealthy neighborhood.

"Take your time looking around the place, Mr. Vanglory and Miss Goldburn. I will be here if you need me. By the way, this place costs 465 million dollars," Smith said to them.

The moment they entered the gates, it felt as though they had stepped into another world, as the mana density suddenly spiked.

Victor was pleasantly surprised by this. Although it wasn’t as powerful as the mana in the game, it was still much higher than the rest of the places on Earth.

"You felt it, right?" Smith asked them with a smirk and continued, "We have many houses in this neighborhood, and all of them were sold except this one due to the mana density here. In fact, some of them claimed they had leveled up just by absorbing the mana in the surroundings," Smith explained as Victor simply nodded.

Then Victor and Amber began exploring the place as a group.

The front door opened into a grand yet restrained hall with black-and-white marble flooring and exquisite portraits and paintings lined along the walls. High ceilings, intricate crown moldings, and tall windows draped with heavy linen curtains. The furniture consisted of deep leather Chesterfield sofas, heirloom Persian rugs, mahogany side tables, and oil paintings collected over generations.

Even though it screamed old money, the house did not lack any modern facilities, and there was even a large swimming pool and a huge garden.

"How about it, do you like it?" Smith followed closely and asked.

"Yes, we will take it." Victor said without hesitation.

"Good." Smith’s face beamed with joy at securing a large deal.

Smith then brought the documents, and Victor swiftly signed them and transferred the money.

"Congratulations, Mr. Vanglory, you are now the proud owner of this luxurious house," Smith said with a smile as he left the room.

"Master, we should celebrate," Amber said with a sultry smile, and Victor smirked in response as they headed toward the bedroom.

Back at the World Magic Trade Center

"Sir, these three items... we can sell them as a bundle item, can’t we?" one of the junior appraisers said.

"Indeed, we can... and that’s exactly what I will do," said a middle-aged man with a serious look, and he snorted, "Whoever the idiot is sold it for way less than its value."

"Yeah, these boots, armour, and sword together can be considered superior rank items," said the senior appraiser in a solemn voice.

In front of them were the three uncommon rank items Victor had sold.

First were the gale boots, which used the wind element to increase speed by 15%. The second item was the armour, which gave a minor passive healing and mana recovery effect, other than increasing defence, and this type of item was highly sought after. Last but not least was the sword, which could store a single spell and launch it towards the target.

"What should the starting price for the bid be?" asked someone.

"At least $10 billion," said the senior appraiser.

"Wouldn’t that be a bit too much?" said someone.

"Hah, what do you know? Those flames and rich individuals would fight tooth and nail to get their hands on these items, and for them money is just a number," sneered the middle-aged man.

The announcement was like a stone thrown into a calm pond, sending ripples throughout the world of Awakeners. The governments of various countries, criminal organizations, top companies, the rich, and top families—all the major powers—quickly took notice. Within hours, the news had spread like wildfire, causing a massive uproar.

No one had any doubts about the claim, as the World Magic Trade Center cared about their reputation and would not scam others, or else they would be torn apart by the UN.

The internet buzzed with speculation and excitement, while the person responsible for the chaos, Victor, had a quick lewd battle with Amber and fell asleep.
