Alzureth disagreed at first, seeing this as a completely fabricated threat by Salden to undermine his authority. But then he was faced with the question: what if it was real, and he had the chance to prevent it, yet threw it away? How would he be able to stand before their father?

With all that in mind, Alzureth reluctantly agreed, knowing that Salden was, after all, never wrong, and he certainly wouldn’t be able to face their father if it all truly came to pass.

Now they were here, planning to carry out the capture of a god—an action their genius brother claimed would prevent their future global empire from being built on ruin.

Salden only smirked, acknowledging her with a slight nod before turning back to the view of the ceremony. "Precisely. None of us know exactly how this will play out, but I guarantee the outcome will work to our benefit."

At that moment, Alzureth’s patience snapped, his voice rising. "Salden, we need clarity, not your cryptic guarantees—"

Salden lifted a hand, silencing them all with a small yet commanding motion. "Hush. The show is about to start," he said, then adjusted his glasses, causing them to glint in the light.

They all fell silent, turning their attention back to the scene in the distance.

The sky shuddered with a deafening crack, then shattered like glass, raining shards of light across the heavens. From the gaping void above descended two figures.

The first was a swordsman, his lean, muscular frame clad in a black coat embroidered with silver runes that shimmered faintly. His black hair cascaded down his back, complementing his piercing violet eyes. Centered on his forehead was a glowing, four-sided star. At his hip hung a sleek black-and-white greatsword.

Beside him stood a woman whose raw, unbridled energy seemed to shake the air itself. Her crimson hair flowed wildly like a blazing inferno, and her sharp emerald eyes burned with the intensity of a predator. Her muscular arms were encased in massive, rune-carved gauntlets that crackled with arcs of fiery energy, each motion radiating cosmic power. Like the swordsman, a four-sided star glowed vividly on her forehead, its brilliance matching the fierce look in her eyes. She radiated chaos and fury—a berserker in every sense of the word.

The elves present watched with widened eyes, their unease clear in the way they all shifted back, some falling to the floor, trembling with fear as the pair touched down lightly on the grounds.

The swordsman’s calm yet intimidating aura clashed with the berserker woman’s fiery presence, creating a storm of cosmic power that left the elves clutching their weapons nervously.

The berserker woman’s lips curled into a smirk as her emerald eyes swept the gathering. "I can feel it," she said, clenching her gauntlets and causing the runes to flare. "The aura of that rogue envoy... it’s nearby. Let us—"

Before she could finish, a figure appeared between them in a flash, his sudden arrival causing the very air to ripple.

It was Ark, his body radiating an intense golden aura, with a look of excitement in his blue-and-purple color-changing eyes. He pointed his right hand toward them as he spoke in a firm tone.

"I’m sorry. I can’t allow you to pass."

The swordsman narrowed his gaze toward Ark, tilting his head slightly, his expression calm yet intense. "And who are you supposed to be... Wait." He narrowed his gaze further, instantly discerning his origin. "You aren’t from this timeline, are you? What is a god that hasn’t even made a name for himself planning to do in the past? Don’t you know your actions here could disrupt the flow of time and prevent your own birth?"

Ark simply smiled. "This may sound crazy to you, but my answer is simple: I’m here because I was here."

"What? What is that even supposed to—wait." The swordsman suddenly halted, the meaning of Ark’s words dawning on him. "Are you trying to imply that you have some sort of connection to this rogue envoy? And possibly they are your parent? And it was due to you performing this same action in the first place that secures your birth?"

Ark smiled, taking a battle stance. He raised his fists to his face as he said, "Pretty much."

The berserker woman growled, her gauntlets sparking as she stepped forward. "Are you trying to imply that we are doomed to fail here? Are you insulting us? Move aside, or I’ll—"

"Enough," the swordsman interrupted, his voice a blade of icy command. He glanced at Ark, his violet eyes narrowing. "I sense no falsehood in your words, and my deductions are never wrong... But I refuse to believe that I, the mighty Fal’Aktor, fail to carry out my Master’s orders.

"I will say this once—I don’t take kindly to repeating myself."

He narrowed his gaze as his purple cosmic mana raged, his voice seeming to grow deeper as he spoke.

"We are Envoys, bearers of divine will. Do not force us to prove it. Get out of our way, or you will be made short work of."

Ark’s expression didn’t waver as he met their gaze. "Titles mean little to me," he replied calmly. "What matters is the balance I must uphold. If you wish to proceed, you’ll have to do so over my dead body."

The air thickened, the three standing at a silent crossroads, while the elves watched from the shadows, uncertain of the impending battle.

Meanwhile...

A sudden ripple of divine energy could be felt in the tree where the queen and princess stood.

A golden light appeared behind them, causing them to shield their eyes as it calmed down to reveal the figure of a woman with golden hair and deep cosmic blue eyes.

It was Chrono Nexus.

The queen, Elyndra, instinctively stepped back, her hand going to her chest.

She was no stranger to the divine, but never had she thought to stand in the presence of one so powerful.

Lyrielle, her daughter, stood frozen, her golden eyes wide in awe and confusion.

"You... are a goddess... But why are you here?" Elyndra asked cautiously, her voice steady despite the unease she felt from the presence of this strange figure below.

"Have we offended the heavens? Why have such beings graced our land?"

Chrono Nexus raised a hand, signaling for her to calm down. Her voice was soothing as she spoke.

"Peace, Queen Elyndra of Elvendell. Your nation has not incurred our wrath. I... or rather... they, are not here for you or your people."

Elyndra blinked, relieved as she let out a sigh. "Then why have you come, divine one?"

Chrono Nexus turned her gaze to Lyrielle, her piercing eyes locking onto the young queen-to-be.

"I am Chrono Nexus, the goddess of time and knowledge, and I have come for your daughter. Lyrielle is destined for a purpose far greater than ruling your nation. She must follow me to fulfill her role in the grand tapestry of existence."

Lyrielle’s breath hitched, her golden eyes darting to her mother for guidance. Elyndra, however, looked downcast.

"My daughter is my only successor," the queen said softly, her words filled with sorrow.

"Without her, who will guide our people when my time comes? I have no heir to take her place."

Chrono Nexus sighed, a faint look of annoyance crossing her otherwise serene face. She clenched her teeth briefly but maintained her composure.

"Elyndra," she said, her tone firmer, "step forward."
