Chapter 29: A Plot More Important Than the Main Story
Let me talk a bit about this book. The plot is finally starting to unfold. I’m putting all my effort into crafting each character to be realistic and feel like a real, flesh-and-blood person.
The heroines in this book won’t be mindless; they all have their own story arcs. They aren’t cookie-cutter characters, either. Not every one of them is gentle and submissive. There are dangerously possessive types, domineering heroines...
This story is primarily about the journey of becoming a Divine Rich, a tale of step-by-step growth. The focus is on a young man who I feel represents what a developing Divine Rich person should be.
Su Ran isn’t impulsive or corrupt. He makes a little progress every day and maintains a positive outlook. He doesn’t complain about society or feel it’s been unfair to him (despite losing his closest family). He just faces life head-on. He’s the kind of young man who could live a wonderful life even without becoming a Divine Rich.
But... sigh... writing this kind of slow-burn novel, one that unfolds gradually through everyday life, is just so difficult these days.
So I’m really asking for everyone’s support. It’s incredibly hard for a humble author like me to make it. I’m so worried about my daily reader count that I’m dreaming about it.
Another thing is, I’ve noticed that many of my readers aren’t registered as "paying users." If you haven’t topped up your account or subscribed to anything in the last three months, you don’t count as one.
Even if you read every new Chapter daily, your read doesn’t register as "effective" on the editor’s dashboard.
If you top up just one yuan and use it to leave a tip, your daily reads will become "effective reads." Please, everyone, if you could help out... it only takes one yuan. I’m begging you.
It’s so hard to be an author these days.
Okay, that’s all. I’m off to bed. My girlfriend’s calling for me.
