Chapter 548: Chapter 265: Falling from the Sky_3
The Joyful Union Sect was once one of the sects that replaced the Divine Sect.
Mo Changlin and the Celestial Calculation Divine Heir both used to be part of the Joyful Union Sect. To be precise, the Saintess did not belong to the Divine Sect Disciples, but was a branch disciple of the Joyful Union Sect.
Jiang Feng had read accounts and glorious histories of the Tuoba Clan in many ancient records.
Fifteen hundred years ago, they roamed the world, subduing demons and suppressing evil, leaving countless legends across the land, but now they have completely disappeared.
There was a discontinuity in the stories about them; Jiang Feng did not expect to see traces of the Tuoba Clan within the Forbidden Forest.
Of course, at the moment he had only seen the script of the Tuoba Clan within the ancient city. Whether the people who originally lived in this ancient city were from the Tuoba Clan, and whether they had any connection to the Divine Sect, Jiang Feng still could not be certain.
"Maybe I can settle down here for a while."
Jiang Feng muttered to himself.
The Forbidden Forest was still wide and deep; there were rumors that the Forbidden Forest had torn open a breach above the Sea of Blood, and if one kept journeying forward, at the deepest point, they would reach the Blood Domain.
The deeper one went, the more desolate it became, and the demon beasts encountered would grow rapidly in strength.
The area where Jiang Feng was currently located was already a place he could not go any deeper.
Because along this journey, the demon beasts within the coverage of his Spiritual Sense mostly already possessed cultivation at the Eleventh or Twelfth Layer of Qi Condensation, or even the Peak of Qi Condensation.

Going deeper, he might encounter Foundation Establishment Great Demons.
Humans may be insidious, but at times can still be reasoned with.
Yet every Great Demon has a strong sense of territory. Trespassing would easily incite conflict, and what’s more, the Demon Race had always been hostile to the Human Race. If he ran into a Foundation Establishment Great Demon, escaping unscathed wouldn’t be so easy.
Jiang Feng took a full tour of the ancient city.
Unable to find any complete houses, he simply built one himself.
The stone hut on White Tiger Mountain had been built by him and Han Dong with their own hands. Now Jiang Feng used local materials and in a few days built himself a house.
He discovered that though the Forbidden Forest was deserted, the Spiritual Qi here was abundant, and there were many Spirit Herbs and Elixirs. Herbs that were rarely found could always be found here if one looked carefully.
Thus, Jiang Feng set up a Tripod Furnace outside his room.
He brought the herbs he’d gathered to refine Elixir.
Time passed swiftly.
In the blink of an eye, three years went by.
During these three years, Jiang Feng lived continuously in the ancient city, never leaving the Forbidden Forest. Many years ago, he could hide alone in the Divine Sect Mansion for several years.
The Forbidden Forest, though deserted and with demon beasts often coming to make trouble, was countless times better than the environment inside the Divine Sect Mansion. Jiang Feng did not feel bored living here at all.
Each morning, he checked his status panel.
Name: Jiang Feng
Fortune: 2033
Cultivation Technique: Yang Technique (Perfection), Foundation Establishment Technique - Proficient (97-100), Divine Sect Treasure Manual – Upper Part (Beginner)
Skills: Alchemy (Mastery), Rune Secret Spell Basics (Mastery), Qi Condensing Pill (Proficient)
Realm: Foundation Establishment (Human Dao), Divine Realm (Early Stage)
Divine Power: Immortality
Over three years, Jiang Feng’s Fortune Point grew within a small range. Clearly, the Saintess must have led people to Dragon Capital but found nothing.
It was possible the Underground Palace had already been occupied by the Saintess and her group.
The world of the Great Zhou might have changed hands as well—nothing was certain.
But Jiang Feng was uninterested in all that.
He only hoped to obtain more Fortune Points to lay the foundation for Celestial Dao Foundation Establishment cultivation.
Over the past three years, he spent all his Fortune Points on Foundation Establishment Technique. Now his proficiency had reached 97—just four points from mastering it at one hundred.

Jiang Feng was quite hopeful that a Mastery Level Foundation Establishment Technique might allow his cultivation foundation to shift from Human Dao Foundation Establishment to Divine Dao Foundation Establishment.
With that hope in mind, Jiang Feng took out several herbs and began refining Qi Condensing Pill at his door.
On the path of cultivation, lacking Spiritual Root and aptitude, Jiang Feng couldn’t improve his cultivation no matter how hard he worked, nor did diligence alone avail him.
So with idle time, Jiang Feng would refine Elixir or study the Divine Sect Treasure Manual.
He was surprised to find that, just like the God-Binding Finger, the Divine Sect Treasure Manual’s power could be slowly improved through training—progressed slowly, yes, but at least better than stagnating at the same place.
But in the past few years, he had focused more on Alchemy.
Soon a medicinal fragrance wafted out from the Tripod Furnace.
"Whoosh, whoosh!"
Outside the ancient city, thickets and bushes began to sway violently.
Jiang Feng remained unmoved and continued refining Elixir.
He had long gotten used to it: whenever the fragrance of medicine drifted from here, the nearby demon beasts would become very agitated.
During these years, demon beasts sometimes came to snatch his Elixir.
But under the might of the Dragon Bone Bow, even Qi Condensation Peak Great Demons would flee in panic the moment they were locked onto by the bow.
Jiang Feng needed them to guard the four directions, to prevent other monsters from smelling the medicine and joining in. So he did not make things difficult for them.
He even gave them several Qi Condensing Pills, letting them stop Little Demons from approaching the ancient city.
The commotion in the distant thickets was likely caused by Little Demons catching the scent, but then getting pinned down and beaten by the guarding Great Demons.
"Fellow Daoist!"
Suddenly, a laugh came from the direction of the disturbance.
An old man in white robes, stepping on a Spirit Cloud, slowly descended inside the ancient city.
Jiang Feng was astonished—he hadn’t sensed the white-robed old man at all in advance. Looking at the shaken bushes, the old man saw his confusion and explained, "Fellow Daoist, don’t worry, I did not harm your Spirit Pet."
So the earlier commotion was not the sound of Little Demons being beaten by Great Demons, but rather the Great Demons Jiang Feng had stationed being easily overpowered by this white-robed old man.
"I’m refining Elixir, please wait a moment."
Jiang Feng nodded. The white-robed old man seemed to bear no ill will.
"Of course, fellow Daoist, please continue."
The white-robed old man smiled amiably, nodding and sitting aside to watch Jiang Feng refine Elixir.
After a bit, the medicinal fragrance grew even stronger.
Jiang Feng took five Qi Condensing Pills from the Tripod Furnace.

Since his Alchemy reached Mastery Level, Jiang Feng’s success rate had climbed to fifty percent, and every batch could produce five Qi Condensing Pills.
The Qi Condensing Pills were also at Proficient Level, and their effects were considered superb even in the Central Earth; in the Blood Domain, they would be counted as Mid-Grade Elixirs.
"Sir, your Alchemy skills are truly admirable."
Seeing Jiang Feng take five Qi Condensing Pills from the furnace, all at Mid-Grade effectiveness, the white-robed old man couldn’t help but praise him, even changing from ’Fellow Daoist’ to addressing him as ’Sir.’
"Senior flatters me, these Elixirs of mine..."
Jiang Feng started to reply modestly.
Suddenly his brows furrowed.
He sensed a Qi approaching swiftly from outside.
The speed was tremendous.
"Master."
A familiar voice rang out.
Jiang Feng looked toward the voice and saw the Saintess, standing atop a Flying Sword like a white rainbow cutting through the clouds, arrive in the ancient city, appearing before them both.
