His face, as always, was still without any emotions. It was late summer, with the sun starting to set into the horizon.
The setting sun casted a fiery red glow upon the sky, slowly descending down as the moon started to rise from the other direction.
All the disciples still outside started to head back to their own houses, cave abodes, and daoist temples. The atmosphere of the entire Eternal Peak became quiet and pleasant, with occasional chirping of birds passing from above, along with the sounds of animals and Spirit Beasts the disciples had raised here.
Some disciples still remained outside, a few of them admiring the view and conversing with eachother while the rest simply cultivated in nature’s embrace. It was an extremely peaceful atmosphere.

In the past years, with the continous development of the Eternal Peak’s Providence and the increasing Spirit Qi, the entire place had become far more majestic than before.
The lakes had deepened, forests grown with trees hundreds of feet tall, the small hills had transformed into majestic mountains towering up into the sky, and the land full of vitality. The precious materials and treasures used to appear from time to time, sometimes rare ores generating from the mountains and the other times exotic plants growing from the earth.
The highest mountaintop where Tian Yongheng’s cave abode was located at had almost reached the height of three thousand feet, nearing a mile. Misty fog covered its summit all year round, making it look like a paradise of Immortal Gods resembling Kunlun Divine Mountain.
From the outside, it was covered by the mist and nothing could be seen on the summit that reached the sky. But from the summit, Tian Yongheng could see everything.
Actually, the mist was produced from a Array Formation which Tian Yongheng had Yun Ping set up for 10 High-Grade Spirit Stones. It was a protective Array Formation called the Sun Moon Enclosure Array Formation, something low level cultivators would have to work very hard to obtain the layout method of.
The Infernal Blaze Sect’s main lineage consisted of Array Formation Masters, and the method of setting up the Sun Moon Enclosure Array Formation had been passed down to Yun Ping by his grandmaster, the founding ancestor and the late Supreme Elder of the Infernal Blaze Sect, Han Changqing.
One could imagine how many hardships Han Changqing had to endure to obtain it, as Tian Yongheng remembered that even back in his family, no Array Formation Master knew the layout method of the Sun Moon Enclosure Array Formation, and he had only read about it in a book detailing Array Formations.
It used the Essence of the Sun and Moon to coat a certain area in a protective layer of Yin-Yang Spiritual Energy derived from the Sun and Moon. As a result, mist seeped out from the summit where it had been set up, but it was neither cold nor hot, just enough to keep the temperature in balance.
Yun Ping wasn’t too advanced of a Array Formation Master because of his low cultivation, so the Array Formation itself could only withstand the attacks of at most Acquired Realm. With a single tap of a being above the Acquired Realm, the Array Formation would shatter in a moment.
But it was still better than nothing. After all, Tian Yongheng rarely left his cave abode or the Eternal Peak. With him present, who would dare cause trouble?
Putting all this aside, gradually, the night fell and darkness descended upon the world, with the only source of light being the moon and the stars shining brightly above the sky.
Seeing the moon and the stars hanging above in the night sky, he remembered of his past life back on earth.
Sometimes, he used to just sit and think about these things and wonder.
Could technology from earth ever reach the level of Immortal Cultivation?
Or would humans there ever come to acknowledge the existence of Immortal Cultivators, the existence of other worlds, higher dimensions, and such?
Thinking of that, he felt somewhat ridiculous.
He felt incredulous that the so called observable universe that he knew of in his past life barely covered only the Myriad Worlds.
Above the Myriad Worlds existed the Lower Realm, with the Netherworld both acting as a barrier between these two dimensions and being a separate dimension of its own.
At the thought of this, Tian Yongheng wondered how high of a realm would he have to reach before he can cross dimensions.
Nascent Soul Realm? Tribulation Transcendence Realm? Or even higher?
"Beings capable of transcending dimensions...I’m afraid only Immortals may have such an ability." He said with a hint of unwillingness in his tone of voice.
Putting all the unnecessary thoughts aside, he began to comprehend the night sky and the stars.
...
At the same valley located far away, in Kong Junyu’s cave abode.
The entrance to the deepest part of the cave abode was sealed, with Kong Junyu immersed in cultivation.
Just outside of the entrance, Qiao Lan was seated cross-legged with her eyes closed, but Divine Sense spread out.
At this point, she suddenly felt some movements in another area of the cave abode that was also sealed off.
Opening her eyes, she stood up straight and went to the other side of the cave abode and stopped right in front of a giant gate, 20 feet tall and 10 feet wide. There were demonic patterns and ancient ferocious beasts carved on the door, which emanated a faint red light and demonic aura.
Ignoring all of that, she used her Demonic Energy to open the door steadily, her facial expression showing no signs of any emotion.
The room was very dark, as if one had stepped into the void with no light at all. But unexpectedly, there was nothing in this room except for the unnecessary darkness.
Or so one would think upon entering, but in the deepest part of this room, a peculiar sight awaited anyone who entered.
Qiao Lan continued forward, and finally stopped in her tracks when she reached the end.
There lay the figure of a person, precisely, a young man in his late twenties. His hair were disheveled, blocking the view of his face and garments torn. His physique wasn’t anything special too, it may even be described as below average from his current condition.
Looking from afar, he would look no different from a corpse, but fortunately, he was still alive and breathing. Sensing Qiao Lan’s arrival, he slowly raised his head and met her eyes, his eyes shining with a fierce, orange hue.
He glared at her, to which she only replied with a cold, emotionless stare.
"What..do you want now...?" He asked, his voice barely audible and trembling, yet the killing intent that emanated from him would make people think otherwise.
Suddenly, a cold, horrific aura emerged from Qiao Lan, spreading in all directions like an unstoppable and fierce storm, billowing both her dress and the young man’s tattered garments aggressively.
His jet black hair with strands of red blew upwards, revealing a charismatic face with sharp features that stood out even when it was covered in dirt and blood. He couldn’t be described as extremely handsome and on par with Tian Yongheng, of course, but he was still very good looking in every sense of the word.
He quickly put his arms in front of his face as to not let the dust get into his eyes, as both his Spiritual Energy and Divine Sense were blocked.
"Liu Yufang, don’t think that you’re invincible just because you possess the Heavenly Spiritual Root. This is the Mythical Era. There are countless so called geniuses like you who possess the Heavenly Spiritual Root. You’re going to die the moment master comes out of seclusion, so just stay quiet till then." Said Qiao Lan in a ice cold tone of voice, her aura rushing towards Liu Yufang.
"Ghuuak!"
*Bang!*
Instantly, with just her aura, Qiao Lan sent him flying as he hit the wall with a bang and spat out blood from his mouth, his pupils constricted and expression turned ghastly pale from the sudden attack.
However, he still glared at Qiao Lan with his orange eyes, unwilling to back down and show any weakness.
He had been trapped in this place for so many years, it was a miracle he didn’t go mad yet seeing only this void like darkness around him all year round. Maybe it was because of his strong will and the desire to become more powerful to take revenge on these demonic cultivators who had caused the death of his eldest sister.
But no matter what it was, it prevented him from going mad or killing himself.
Nevertheless, he still didn’t know how long could he hold on for. He knew that these demonic cultivators had kept him alive for so long because he had the Heavenly Spiritual Root, and the moment this master of their exits seclusion, he would certainly snatch his Heavenly Spiritual Root and kill him.
Even after knowing all this, he still had hope that he would somehow survive and escape eventually.
At this moment, Qiao Lan, having taught Liu Yufang his place, turned around and walked away. She used to come here once every few years to check on him, or when he tried to do futile attempts to escape.
Watching her retreating figure in silence, Liu Yufang remained quiet before the pain from her attack took over and rendered him unconscious.
