On their way back to the Eternal Peak, Lu Qingfeng couldn’t help but ask, "Master, why did you leave the bodies of all those people there? You didn’t even check out what they might have on them."

Despite still being new into the cultivation world, Lu Qingfeng knew that cultivators would never leave the corpses of other cultivators just like that without searching it thoroughly in case they found some valuables.

A cultivator usually had all his important stuff with him wherever he was, after all!

"Who told you I didn’t search their corpses?" Saying this, Tian Yongheng took out a small Storage Pouch out of the system space.

"I got this from the cave abode of that Golden Core Realm cultivator which we went to explore in the first place. All the valuables obtained by this battle and that cave abode are here." He continued, secretly smug in his mind.

He had procured thousands of Mid-Grade Spirit Stones and tens of thousands of Low-Grade Spirit Stones from the corpses of his enemies. There were also special items and materials which could be used to refine Dharma Artifacts, Pills and all that stuff, or they could also be used in cultivation.

But most importantly, he had obtained 3 High-Grade Spirit Stones!

Spirit Stones was the currency of Immortal Cultivators, and not just that, they were also valuable assets in terms of cultivation as they were materialized from Spirit Qi. In other words, they could be said to be the physical form of Spirit Qi.

Their Grades were determined by how much Spirit Qi was compressed into a Spirit Stone.

Usually, a High-Grade Spirit Stones had enough Spirit Qi to make a cultivator at the First Stage of Qi Condensation Realm directly advance to the Second Stage. But one need to keep in mind that Spirit Stones only sufficed the need for Spirit Qi, not talent, cultivation potential or Providence etcetera.

That’s why most cultivators only relied on Spirit Stones to speed up their consumption of Spirit Qi and quicken the pace of their cultivation. They could also be used in critical moments of breakthrough or refining anything when the surrounding Spirit Qi was not enough to support the cultivator’s large consumption.

Spirit Stones were divided into 4 grades, Low-Grade, Mid-Grade, High-Grade, and Superior-Grade.

A Mid-Grade Spirit Stone was equivalent to a thousand Low-Grade Spirit Stones, a High-Grade Spirit Stone was equivalent to a thousand Mid-Grade Spirit Stones, and a Superior-Grade Spirit Stone equivalent to that of a thousand High-Grade Spirit Stones.

Even though Tian Yongheng wouldn’t get much of an improvement by these 3 High-Grade Spirit Stones, even a minor improvement is still a improvement nonetheless. It would still save him some extra cultivation.

When did he even have the time to search through all of their bodies!?

Both Lu Qingfeng and Yan Jingfei couldn’t help but wonder.

At this moment, Lu Qingfeng asked yet again, "Then what about that area? It was completely flattened through hundreds of miles because of the countless spells and arts that were used. Will it remain like that?"

"I see you still don’t know many things about the cultivation world yet, Qingfeng. The corpse of a cultivator in itself is a priceless treasure. After a cultivator dies, their Spiritual Energy starts to disperse out of their Sea of Consciousness, seeking out of their corpse into the surroundings.

That Spiritual Energy goes back into nature. As you already know, Spiritual Energy has the power to increase the Providence of any area it is in. And the more Providence an area has, the more prosperous it will be in terms of good, habitable surroundings with forests, waterfalls, mountains, rivers, lakes and all of that.

Even though that area we fought in was utterly destroyed, with the corpses of so many Innate Realm and even Golden Core Realm cultivators lying there, it will recover soon and become even more prosperous than before in a few hundred years. That’s why, to preserve nature, most cultivators do not do anything with the corpses of their enemies and just leave them be after getting all their goods.

Some times, they also tranfer the corpses to other desolate areas so that it can become more prosperous." Tian Yongheng explained calmly.

Although he had not seen it personally, he had heard about it from his mother back then.

"Cultivators truly do care about the nature which has given them everything they have, huh?" Lu Qingfeng pointed out, lowering his gaze to see the mortal city they were passing by.

"Well...it depends on everyone’s perspective." Tian Yongheng replied, increasing his pace as he flew off into the distance with the rest.

...

Soon, they all arrived at the Eternal Peak.

He dropped Yan Jingfei and Lu Qingfeng off outside his cave abode and went in with Tian Yunchen.

"So now, tell me, who are you?" Just as they entered, Tian Yongheng did not beat around the bush and asked firmly.

"My name is...Tian Yunchen. And I used to belong to a branch of the Great Tian Immortal Family." He replied, a hint of anger and sadness flashing through his eyes as the effects of Absolute Purification began to wear off his mind.

"Which branch?"

"Territory of the Great Jiang Immortal Dynasty, State of Jiangzhou, Tian Family of the Jiangnan Region’s capital. I’m the eldest son of Tian Jinyuan, the Jiangnan Region Tian Family Branch Head and his only wife, Chen Yingxuan...although I have not heard from them over hundreds of years-"

"They are already dead, after all."

Tian Yunchen was cut short as he looked over at Tian Yongheng, his face showing extreme shock and despair as he stared at his expressionless eyes.

His lips trembled as he mustered up the courage to ask,

"...Who are you?"

Tian Yongheng did not show a hint of an emotion, his face as expressionless as ever as he spoke slowly,

"Your youngest brother."

...

Meanwhile, at the end of the Eastern Continent, East Coast.

Far away from the East Coast, in the midst of the Pristine Waters.

There was a small island, almost unnoticeable in the vast expanse of the Pristine Waters that are spread throughout the entire Second Great Mortal World. It may seem small, but it was actually hundreds of thousands of miles big.

Isle of Heavenly Demons.

This island was hidden from the outside world, covered by a large Formation which hid it from the eyes of even Human Immortals.

In the middle of the island was a huge altar, surrounding by tall, black pillars. There were demonic carvings and evil practices written all over the pillars.

Monument of the Demon God.

"The Archaic Forbidden Demon God, was a being of immense power and supreme cultivation who did not abide by the rules of the Heavenly Dao, and did not ascend to the Upper Realm despite having already surpassed the cultivation limit of the Lower Realm.

He founded the Forbidden Demonic Valley and single handedly wiped out countless great powers of that time. Even the supreme prodigies of Mount Kunlun were no match for that ultimate existence.

It was at that time a human mighty figure rose into power, and with remarkable talent, conquered many demonic factions, killing countless powerful Demons and demonic cultivators. That person was...

The Divine Sovereign!

He fought toe to toe with the Archaic Forbidden Demon God, and was able to finally defeat him after many weeks of continous fighting.

In the end, the Demon God’s Essence Soul was sealed into a space-time crack in the void by the Divine Sovereign because it couldn’t be destroyed for some reasons.

This was the story of 3 Heavenly Karmic Cycles ago. However, a few million years ago, our ancestors finally found the location of that space-time crack, and thus, this island was built below it.

The crack is located right above the Monument of the Demon God, and when time comes, his Essence Soul will be unsealed!

This is why the Demon Saint is extremely important to us, as he is the only key to unsealing his majesty, the almighty Demon God.

Do you all understand?"

An elderly man with a hunched back, long white beard and white hair who seemed as if he could die at any moment spoke, looking over the group of young Demons and demonic cultivators who were not paying any attention to what he was saying at all.

These brats...hmph! When the Demon God is resurrected, you’ll be the first ones to die!

At this moment, someone suddenly came by his side and whispered in his ear.

"Oh? I’ll let the lord know right this instance." The old man nodded as he swiftly left the Monument of the Demon God and went up a mountain more than five thousand feet tall.

He reached the top in less than ten minutes.

Despite his looks, the old man was actually at the peak of the Innate Realm!

At the top of the mountain was located a small daoist temple. Outside of the daoist temple, a middle-aged man with a vast but unholy aura stood at the summit, looking over the island.

The old man knelt behind him as he spoke, "Lord, some of the cultivators you sent to the Qingyun Region, including a couple of Golden Core Realm ones, have all died with no exceptions. The Gu Worms are no longer responding."

"I see..." The middle-aged man sighed softly before waving his hand dismissively.

The old man quickly stood up and left.

It was unknown what the middle-aged man was thinking at this moment.
