Eternal Peak.
After stabilizing his cultivation base, Tian Yongheng finally opened his eyes and sighed, his gaze landing on the floating screen in front of him.
[Name: Tian Yongheng]
[Race: Mortal]
[Lifespan: 111/3047]
[Cultivation: First Stage of Innate Realm.]
[Constitution: Five-Elemental Divine Spiritual Physique.]
[Bloodline: Jade Pure Bloodline (Descendant of the Celestial Venerable of Primordial Beginning).]
[Innate Talent(s): Sword Heart, Primordial Meridians and Primordial Bones.]
"Such a massive leap in lifespan! Good!" He exclaimed with a hint of astonishment in his voice.
Suddenly at this moment, a system notification popped up in front of him.
[Congratulations to the host for breaking through to the First Stage of Innate Realm.]
[Obtained a bottle of Innate Pills, a Rank-4 Alchemy Furnace, the Burning Heaven Alchemy Furnace, the egg of a True Dragon, a Dharma Fusion Stone, a 5 times increase in the Dao Field’s Spirit Qi and two new system functions.]
"How the hell are there so many rewards this time!?" Seeing the amount of rewards provided by the system this time, Tian Yongheng couldn’t help but be flabbergasted.
Slowly, he started to check out the information of each reward.
[Burning Heaven Alchemy Furnace: Rank-4 Alchemy Furnace. Made out of a special material called the Burning Heaven Iron, it can greatly enhance the efficiency and fire control of the person using it to concoct pills.]
But why was this reward given to me when I’m not even an Alchemist?
Oh well, I’ll just keep it for now.
[True Dragon’s egg: Divine Beast egg. It belongs to the True Dragon Race of the Demon Race. The egg can take as long as a million years or as early as a century to hatch if given the proper environment full of Spirit Qi and Providence.]
Okay...so this is something I did not expect at all. Having a True Dragon as a pet...is the system even allowed to give out such rewards? I have heard of True Dragons in ancient stories but I don’t even know what standings the True Dragon Race possesses in the Upper Realm or even the Divine Realm because the Lower Realm has no True Dragons whatsoever.
But they must be a Race of big shots since they were mentioned so many times both in my previous life’s mythology and even in this world.
"Putting that aside, what are the new system functions?"
[System Concealment: From now on, unless one’s strength is greater than that of host’s, they won’t be able to see through your cultivation. Even if their cultivation base is major realms ahead but their strength inferior or on par with that of host, they won’t be able to see through your cultivation base.]
Finally, something useful! I definitely need this function the most right now.

Seeing the description of this new system function, Tian Yongheng was very satisfied.
Before this, cultivators who were a single major realm above Tian Yongheng could easily see through his cultivation base even if they were weaker than him in terms of strength.
That was because his Providence would only work till then since the gap between major realms was too huge, but now, he didn’t need to be worried about his strength being seen through by beings weaker than him.
Why was it something good, though?
Because people would often underestimate others who’s cultivation base is lower than them, and thus will think that they are easy to bully because of their low cultivation.
Tian Yongheng wanted to avoid that at all costs. With this function, nobody would dare to easily mess with him. Even though it had many loopholes and cons, it was still enough for him.
As for beings who were higher than him in terms of strength...he decided to not think any further about that.
[Bonus Rewards: From now on, whenever the host breakthroughs a major realm, you will receive a bonus reward from the system. This bonus reward will be very special and different from all the other rewards.]
Huh..? Does it mean-
Before he could even think about anything, another system notification appeared in front of him.
[Bonus Reward: Insights into the Sword Dao.]
[Host, do you wish to use the bonus reward right now?]
[Yes/No]
[Please make your choice.]
...
In the last 10 years, many great changes had taken place in the Yan Immortal Dynasty.
The death of Han Changqing seemed to have almost no impact on the overall livelihood of the cultivation world at all.
Only a few cultivators would sometime talk about how such a mighty expert at the Innate Realm fell prey to the vicious cycle of heaven and earth.
On the other hand, everyone’s attention right now was on the movements of the other two pillars of the Yan Immortal Dynasty, the White Firmament Sect and the Sky Sword Sect.
It was a thrilling situation, and everybody was waiting for these two forces to make a move.
Why?
It was simple. All the low level cultivators under the Yan Immortal Dynasty had their life and death completely dependent on them. If a war were to break out, they would be the first ones to suffer simply because they were too weak to raise their voices.
But if they could know about it beforehand, then there might still be chances of survival as strong enough cultivators with resources could migrate to any other place, while weak cultivators with little resources could only brace themselves and prepare for any kind of misfortune that may befall them.
This was the world of weak cultivators with no background or specialities. They could only slowly develop themselves, and if any calamity were to befall them, they could only bear with it silently.
The place the Yan Immortal Dynasty was located in used to be a giant forbidden ground in the mortal world, a forest teeming with Demon Beasts. But after the Supreme Elders of the three sects and the first Emperor of the Yan Dynasty found this place, they cleared it all out and built the current Yan Immortal Dynasty on it.
This place was located very far from mortal civilization, and only cultivators could visit it because of the dangers that one would come across in the path. Most cultivation factions were also located in similar places such as this, so that they could remain hidden from the outside world and avoid mortal interactions.
This was also the reason why weak cultivators in the Qi Condensation Realm or even Foundation Establishment Realm with no background couldn’t ever leave this place in their entire lifetimes. The dangers were simply too big to handle the consequences of.
While they could pay for flying Dharma Artifacts such as small boats and also ask someone strong to escort them out, the price for that would be way too astronomical, so much so that they wouldn’t ever be able to get that much Spirit Stones even if they were to save for their entire life.
That was why many weak cultivators with no future or foundations had completely given up on leaving, and could only wait for death.
The higher ups of such factions didn’t care about them at all. They had no reason to do so.
They didn’t ask for anyone to cultivate and join their faction. They were not obligated to take care of them after that.
At the end of the day, the only people they could rely on were themselves.
