Hearing Tian Yongheng’s words, a sense of relief washed over both Yan Zhangwei and Yun Ping.
Standing up straight, they cupped their fists respectfully. Then, Yan Zhangwei said reverently, "We’re very grateful towards you, fellow daoist."
Nodding slowly, Tian Yongheng also stood up and cupped his fists, preparing to leave.
"Fellow daoist, why don’t you stay in the Yan Dynasty for some time before heading back?" Yun Ping asked suddenly.
"Thank you for the hospitality, fellow daoist. But no, I cannot neglect my cultivation." He replied politely.
"Then, we wish you success in your cultivation, fellow daoist." Said Yan Zhangwei.
[Yan Zhangwei’s favorability towards you has increased.]
[Current favorability: 5-Star]
[Yun Ping’s favorability towards you has increased.]
[Current favorability: 4.5-Star]
Looking at the increased favorability notifications infront of him, Tian Yongheng shook his head slightly. And then, with one swift movement, he disappeared into thin air.
Yan Zhangwei and Yun Ping were utterly shocked seeing this scene, not even having a chance to react.
Is he really only in the Acquired Realm!?
They couldn’t help but think of what great disaster might’ve occurred had he not been an ally, heaving a sigh of relief that he was on their side.
...
Back to the Eternal Peak.
After telling Yan Jingfei about what had happened, Tian Yongheng went straight back into his cave abode.
Sitting down on his cultivation mat, he started to cultivate the new Divine Power which he had obtained from the system after his last breakthrough.
The Symphony of Infinite Distance.
A communication based Divine Power, which could allow one to communicate with anybody who also cultivated this Divine Power from any distance.
Technically, the Communication Jade and Divine Sense could also do the same, but both of these weren’t as all-encompassing and flexible as the Symphony of Infinite Distance. Divine Sense could only allow communication within a certain range according to the user’s cultivation, while the Communication Jade could also only allow communication within the range of its rank as it was a Dharma Artifact.
But the Symphony of Infinite Distance could be used to communicate across any distance, be it the other side of the world or the other side of the universe.
Tian Yongheng decided that he would teach this Divine Power to both his disciples after Lu Qingfeng reaches the Qi Condensation Realm.
He then went back to his cultivation.
At the same time outside of his cave abode, Yan Jingfei was patrolling the area, trying to remember some of her past life’s memories.
She also knew the location of the Golden Core Realm expert’s inheritance, but she had speculated that she would only remember about it after reaching at least the Acquired Realm, which would probably take her around 10 more years even with the abundance of Spirit Qi in the Eternal Peak. Otherwise, she would’ve already told Tian Yongheng about that.
Right now, the Eternal Peak already had more than 500 disciples. During the past few years, their manpower and resources had increased a lot. There were already more than 20 Foundation Establishment Realm disciples in the Eternal Peak, while there were hundreds of Qi Condensation Realm and Acupoint Opening Stage disciples.
Their power was now officially comparable to top tier Foundation Establishment Realm factions, excluding the leading figures, of course.
Yan Jingfei had to manage all those disciples, and even though she had appointed some other talented Foundation Establishment Realm disciples for these tasks, she still had to oversee them. That was why she was delaying her cultivation temporarily.
Many things have changed from how they were in my past life...I wonder what the future holds now..
...
Meanwhile,
At the Heavenly Spirit Pavillion.
"It’s been so long, yet we haven’t even found a single trace of those demonic cultivators." Said Mo Yuxin, sighing with dejection.
"And I doubt you have much lifespan left to live, Gao Fusheng."
Gao Fusheng, who was meditating on the other side of the room, flinched hearing her say that. He was currently in a very bad state, his skin had lost all its vibrance, he had wrinkles all over his face and body, and even longevity items and pills had lost their effect on him.
At most, he would be able to live for ten more years.
"Indeed, senior. I’m quite unfortunate as I don’t have the talent required to breakthrough any further. Maybe I’ll only be able to continue treading on this path in my next life. I truly apologize for causing you trouble." He said, putting on a smile.
Mo Yuxin just stood there and listened to him speak, her eyes showing a hint of pity and guilt.
Heavens are unfair.
Turning around, she disappeared into thin air and appeared outside of the Heavenly Spirit Pavillion, floating.
Although we couldn’t find any clues regarding demonic cultivators this time round, I’m sure those fellows are going to cause trouble again in some time. They have some really big ambitions. I’m afraid the cultivation world is about to undergo huge changes.
"But...it doesn’t matter. The top factions are going to handle everything. Even if the sky falls, there is still Kunlun Divine Mountain and High Saint Lord Tian Yun to support it."
Sighing softly, she looked into the distance with a deep gaze.
I’ve neglected my cultivation quite a lot during this period of time. I should get back to it.
...
At the same time, Central Continent.
On the top of a grand 300,000 feet tall mountain, located near the Great Jiang Immortal Dynasty.
"How is it going then, the talks about the unification of the righteous and demonic paths?" Asked a handsome young man seemingly in his late twenties, wearing a golden white robe with dragon carvings on it.
Updat𝓮d from freewēbnoveℓ.com.
"Only the Immortal Ascension Realm experts have been talking about it. All the Human Immortals are not taking any action because of certain reasons." Answered Wang Daoyun, sighing.
Since the incident at the Demon Suppression Mountain, there had been many talks about the unification of both the righteous path and the demonic path. But, it couldn’t be finalized because of the lack of response from the leading figures of both paths, the Half-Immortal Realm mighty figures.
During this time, Wang Daoyun had learned a lot of things. One of them was that the demonic path right now was divided into two. One that they were cooperating with, and the other was the one causing trouble and planning something big.
As for the reason behind this? No one knew except for the leading figures of the demonic path.
It was also one of the main reasons why the righteous path’s leading figures were not taking any actions as of now. They first had to figure out what was happening within the demonic path.
But the demonic path was also not telling them about this confidential information, making it even harder to unite both paths.
"Do you think that those demonic cultivators are trying to mislead us?" Asked the young man again.
"I...don’t know. It may be because of my lack of knowledge and experience. Please enlighten me on this, senior Jiang. What do you think?"
The young man was actually none other than the crown prince of the Great Jiang Immortal Dynasty, also known as the God of War, Jiang Chengxuan!
Hearing Wang Daoyun’s words, Jiang Chengxuan smiled and then spoke, "In my opinion, I doubt they’d get anything out of lying to us. We still have your grandmaster and the entire Kunlun Divine Mountain behind us, remember? But...it all really depends if there is another power helping them behind the scenes. We have to be careful.
The cultivation world is extremely treacherous, specially for someone like you who has never left the mountain before."
"I understand, senior." Wang Daoyun cupped his fists, showing respect.
"I’ll be going into seclusion for a few centuries to breakthrough to the Immortal Ascension Realm in some years, junior Yun. Let’s meet again then sometime later and I’ll share my insights with you."
"Yes, of cours-" However, before Wang Daoyun could even finish his sentence, Jiang Chengxuan had already vanished into thin air.
The Immortal Ascension Realm...I’m looking forward to it too.
