Meanwhile, in the black volcano mountains which seemed like they would erupt at any given moment, a tense atmosphere was brewing as the sky turned dark, lava surfacing on the ground below.

*Boom!*

At this moment, a ball of fire crashed down on the ground like a meteor, creating a large crater nearly 10 miles in size.

A young man in dark green floated in the air with a cold look on his face, his eyes full of disdain, his long black hair fluttering in the wind and his hands covered in Fire Spiritual Energy condensing into massive flames as he shot out another streak of fire towards the ground.

*Swoosh!*

Instantaneously, a gust of wind flew past the crater at an incredible speed, colliding with the streak of fire shot out by the young man.

*Boom!*

Both powers exploded upon contact with each other, raising dust particles into the air for miles as they dispersed.

The young man floating above showed a annoyed expression before rushing towards the ground, more than 5 people appearing from nowhere and following behind him.

At the ground below, Fang Jian and his group flew at ground level, trying to escape the pursuit of the young man in green and his people.

The people chasing them were none other than the members of Splendid Swan Sect, the young man leading them an elite disciple at the Second Stage of Acquired Realm, who could actually fight and defeat cultivators of even the Third Stage.

Right now, Fang Jian was with two other Great Elders of his Treading Clouds Sect, with two of them at the Third Stage of Acquired Realm and one at the Second Stage. All the other people from his group were on the other side being chased by another elite disciple of the Splendid Swan Sect just like the young man in green.

They had already been fighting for almost 12 hours, and most of them had already exhausted half of their Spiritual Energy.

Fang Jian didn’t understand how those disciples from the Splendid Swan Sect could continue fighting using such fancy and powerful spells and techniques.

Shouldn’t their Spiritual Energy be exhausted already?

Maybe this was the difference between him and true geniuses of heavens.

They all rushed into the sky, streaking across the clouds as they flew to the west.

*Whoosh!*

*Boom!*

Suddenly, at this moment, a flying sword tore through the skies and landed in front of them with a loud sound, making them abruptly stop in their tracks.

"That is...!"

The young man in green instantly recognized this Spiritual Energy, a smile appearing on his face as he looked up and called out enthusiastically.

"Junior brother, Junior sister!"

All the gazes landed on two figures standing across them in the sky, one a man and another of a woman, both seeming to be in their early twenties.

The woman was exceptionally beautiful, wearing a green dress which hugged her figure perfectly, holding a jade sword in her right hand.

The man could be described as somewhat handsome, wearing the same dark green robe as his senior brother, the person who was chasing Fang Jian and the others.

Raising his hand, the young man called the flying sword back and it quickly flew into his hand.

"Now, where are you going to escape to?" One of the people besides the young man previously chasing after Fang Jian and the others spoke up, a mocking expression on his face.

The young woman who had just arrived looked at Fang Jian and the others with a cold, indifferent expression, "Senior brother, should we kill them?" She asked the man besides her who she had arrived here with, her voice devoid of any emotion.

"I’ll do it." The man spoke up, his voice extremely calm and his eyes showing a hint of ruthlessness.

Sheathing the flying sword at his waist, he pulled out a longsword resting on his waist. The sword’s hilt was carved with patterns of dragons and phoenixes, exuding a majestic pressure.

It was a Rank-2 Dharma Artifact, but in the hands of the man, although not as powerful as a Rank-3 Dharma Artifact, it still appeared far stronger.

He raised the sword, striking down as an extreme pressure swept across the land.

Fang Jian and the others below were immobilized from fear. They were gonna die here. The people in front of them were far too strong.

If they appeared here, it was very likely they had already dealt with the other Acquired Realm cultivators of their group hired by them.

Even if they survived somehow, the Crimson Sky Pavillion was still here. Their fate was sealed.

Thinking of this, they closed their eyes to prepare for their demise.

*Swoosh!*

*BOOM!*

At this moment!

A supreme divine might descended from the sky, suppressing everything!

A flaming arrow passed by, shattering the sword sky instantly, but instead of stopping, it continued forward, blasting a hole more than 30 meters big into the nearby mountain.

Seeing this scene, all the people present had their eyes widen in shock, including the man who struck out with his sword just now, the woman who was with him, and their senior brother.

"How is that possible! No one below the Fourth Stage of Acquired Realm should be capable of reflecting that strike of mine!" The man exclaimed in surprise, his eyes showing heavy killing intent as he looked at the direction where the attack came from.

Did someone decide to help these people?

It’s alright if it’s someone who’s at most at the Fourth Stage of Acquired Realm, but it’ll be a major problem if it’s anyone beyond that.

The man thought inwardly, his pupils constricting as he soon saw the face of the person who had attacked.

"Have we...met before?" He couldn’t help but ask.

The attacker was, indeed, none other than Lu Qingfeng.

He was also extremely shocked to see the face of the man in front of him, his expression growing extremely cold.

Even when it had been so many years, when the man before him had grown so unrecognizable, he still could never forget him.

The person who made his life utter hell. The main cause of his parents’ death. The reason why he lived like a begger for years. The ultimate source of all his misery.

And also the motivation behind all his hard work to cultivate, why he stepped onto the path to immortality.

Lu Sheng!

Right now, Lu Qingfeng felt a myriad of emotions. He couldn’t describe it, but he was extremely angry right now.

He wanted to shred the man in front of him to pieces.

He was only following the orders of his superior. It was never his intention to do anything wrong. Yet, he still suffered the most.

He wanted revenge.

When he first came to the outside world, the very first place he went to was none other than the Silver Dust City. However, more than a century had passed.

When he asked around, he found out that the Lu Martial Family no longer existed and had been split up.

After doing some deep investigations, he finally got to know that the family head of the Lu Martial Family, Lu Sheng, had come into contact with the Immortal Cultivation World and thus spread the fake news of the family being split up when in fact they were all brought to the cultivation world, far from the mortal world.

He had been frantically searching for them since then. He had no beef with the current generation of the former Lu Martial Family, but he had to settle the scores with the last generation and most importantly, with Lu Sheng.

Now, they finally met, albeit in the most unexpected yet not completely impossible way.

"It feels quite disheartening to hear that the tenth young master forgot about me, this lowly servant." Lu Qingfeng said, his tone sarcastic.

At the mention of this, Lu Sheng, who was floating before him, suddenly has a realization.

"You...impossible! How did you become an Immortal Cultivator, no, how did you even survive!?" He could no longer maintain his composure and yelled, his voice echoing throughout the place, startling all the people present.

He couldn’t believe what was happening before him.

The lowly servant who used to bully him on the orders of his third brother, it had been more than a hundred years since then!

How was he even alive!?

And more importantly, how did he come into contact with the world of Immortals!?

And his strength...

He was completely overwhelmed. He had never expected this day to come, yet, here it was.

"How did I come into contact with Immortal Cultivation? Good question. But I don’t have time to waste on scum, so prepare to die."

Immediately, more than 10 celestial swords appeared around him, 3 miniature suns floating behind his head as all the celestial swords shot out at once, forming a barrage of swords towards Lu Sheng.

Elder Luo immediately went to Fang Jian and brought the other Great Elders along with Fang Jian away from the battlefield.

This was not a fight they could participate in!

The people on Lu Sheng’s side except for the woman and the other man in green did the same.

Confronted with the barrage of celestial sword, Lu Sheng’s eyes widened in shock, his forehead covered in sweat.

This was not a attack he could take at all!
