Chapter 1825: Chapter 1824 - Final Seclusion

Lind had not been idle in the 1000 years since he opened up the Heart of Origins. He was not making more discs for others to use but he was working on giving all he could to his loved ones and friends.

The Tapestry Layer was horrifying in how he could parse and see new ways for those near him to advance once more. There were still limits. He could not change potential or talent for cultivation drastically.

What he could do was give them a chance to try thinking outside the box. Lysanna was the hardest for him as he did see a way for her to become a Divine Realm but it would completely exhaust her potential.

He had thought it was already gone, yet he had found another way. It was the same for others but his mother was a dead end. She had truly exhausted it.

Yet, he had found ways to extend her life and vitality. There were more ways than even he had known of!

She might live as long as an Apprentice Tier now!

He had worked hard and many would be consolidating their gains for millennia to come. It was his final gift to them.

He knew it was very likely his last time seeing any of them. Karu had confirmed that all other iterations had advanced directly to the Eternal Realm after he condensed his last Mystery.

He was not sure if that would remain true but he did feel like he had a way forward. He had felt it when he made the Heart of Origins. His final Master Tier layer was related to his professions.

Instead of a chamber or other common facility, he retreated to his Emerald Haven.

Compared to the one he created at the Crystal Tier, the current incarnation is beyond a small world! He had actually crafted self-sustaining Origin Seeds to produce materials for all his needs.

The true evolution came from his Time Layer. A formation or weaving speeding up the flow of time would have unwelcome side effects on herbs, ores, or other resources that could only form over a very long duration of elemental energies maturing them.

Even if that grade was Law, Dao, or Mystery grade, the issues persisted. The reason being was that no matter what formation or weaving quality could reach, it was the manipulation of time.

It was forcing an unnatural state on what Heaven and Earth had imposed on all realms.

Lind’s Time Layer, on the other hand, touched on the past, present, and future. In other words, he had no need of weavings any longer to act as a catalyst for him. He also could feel the nuance of Time as he set up special areas where it would naturally flow faster.

There was no contradiction with Heaven and Earth as such a situation has occurred rarely over the many epochs. Compared to the trap he put the Bastard in so long ago, it was far more powerful and complete. If placed in those zones, the Fiend would have exhausted his soul reserves with no chance to escape.

That was just a blunt effect, however, compared to what was happening now. Herbs that took billions of years just to bud were flourishing in numbers to leave any guild or sect green with envy.

Gigantic crystals of all qualities had formed in mountains and valleys that could swallow entire continents! Next to the ores of equal measure, any refiner or Forger would die happy with access to even a tenth of it for their entire lives.

The last facet, however, had been far more troublesome for Lind.

The beasts. Plants and inanimate things were fairly easy to regulate and guide where he wanted to go, but beast cores were not so easy. Anything in the Immortal Realm or below he could theoretically get in any number but Divine Cores were nearly impossible.

He was not a monster and would not raise beasts just to die for generations in his Emerald Haven. Aside from cores, he would need materials from them as well. The issue was living resources degraded even when sealed in a jade vial or storage treasure.

Celestials actually helped him resolve the issue and thus some had helped him research what he had to do.

The trick was to harvest or acquire fresh Soul Cores and World Cores. Once he had them, Celestial Qi, because of its rather unique nature of interacting with the world, could improve the cores by keeping them alive.

He had never heard of it but there was a simple reason for it, it was a massive waste of resources for far less return than hunting the actual beast would bring. Since he could manipulate Time directly, Lind alone could resolve the shortcoming.

So, at the heart of each Origin area and at appropriate crossover areas made to make multi-elemental resources, there were what seemed to be vineyards set up. Beads were strung up with gentle light beams flowing into them.

They were all beast cores and a segmented arrangement isolated each cultivation realm he needed.

Compared to any other realm, Soul and World Realm outnumbered all others combined when it came to beasts. Further, getting cores fresh was far easier as preservation at the Sky Realm and above would drastically rise in effectiveness.

Many powers imported those beast cores for the very reason they needed sheer numbers for their outer disciples or lower guild members.

The demand was that high.

Lind had spent most of the thousands of years after the end of the Final Fiend War gathering those beast cores for other reasons so it had worked out now that he was faced with his next Mystery.

As for the beast resources, he had to settle for purchasing all he could or harvest from living beasts. The last thousand years had been also filled with negotiations with all Divine Realm beasts to get as much as he could.

His once flush personal account was now quite low. He snickered as wealth would mean nothing to him if he succeeded. Further, he had nurtured raw Qi stones of all grades for his needs in the Emerald Haven.

He looked at the aperture behind him and smiled sadly. Despite the rich world around him, he knew he might very well destroy it when he condensed his Mystery and triggered his ascension.

If Karu was right, there was no chance to stop it for him. He bowed low to the Divine Lands beyond the aperture and sealed the Emerald Haven off.

Now, he was truly alone.

Haro was even left outside as a guard. Unless a Master Tier came, no one could disturb him and even then, it was more to inform him if things got that bad.

Lind sighed as he began first with checking the status of his various resource gardens. The 6 Origin Seeds floated above and created the vast world around him. He had a thought to try and leave it behind for his family if he could but each time he ascended or tried to expand a Haven, it scrapped the previous one.

"No time for random thoughts. Let’s see what I can really do." Lind had stayed away from the Emerald Haven for the exact reason he needed it to keep growing in case of an emergency or if he needed extremely rare materials quickly.

If anyone knew he could rebuild his fearsome weapons from the war at scale right then, the Blessed Crimson Range would be swarmed!

He waved his hands and first began to make facilities that could both withstand his work and contain it safely afterwards. Many Dao and Mystery Grade resources were extremely powerful and unstable at once.

Their harvest was a true challenge all on its own! He had made many tools to increase his odds but even he dared not claim he could succeed 100% of the time.

Soon, a complex appeared that did not disturb the harmony of the world. Rather than a blocky structure, it flowed with the energies and harnessed them to improve its power. It looked almost like living water in some places and unbending iron in others.

There was no door as Lind had no need of one.

He casually stepped forward and the flow of energies changed to allow him to pass unhindered. His harmony flowed through all things in the Emerald Haven.

Only the Emerald Isle might come close to what was happening around him. Even the Throne of Defiance was a pale imitation at best.

The benches, concoction cauldrons, hearths, and various tools all hung inside within easy reach. It was rather simple compared to some guild houses or sect set ups, but it was just for him.

An emerald flame flickered at the center and his own harmony danced happily in his dantian.

"No more need for names. This will be the place of my last works. These will be the final things I do in the Divine Lands. I have no time to waste naming things now." He spoke aloud simply to hear a voice.

He sighed and then summoned several jade slips. They were full of research, theories, and various ideas he had wondered if he could pull off or found from Ruins and Inheritances over his long life.

No more restrictions were on anything anymore. He could finally see all the answers he had ever wanted and he would need them.

The dark shadow of the Original Bastard still loomed over them all. Time was not infinite no matter the difference between major realms.

It was time to work on his final Mystery.
