All the dangerous zones got the message and none of them thought the trip was too long; they drove over that day to pick up the rabbits, and they also brought gifts hoping to exchange for more meat.

When they saw the three wild boar piglets leisurely waking up in the pen, they couldn’t move their feet, and all their talking couldn’t get them even a single pig hair.

That was reserved for the head chef to take charge of.

The purchase department, from the director to the clerks, calculated Ye Nai’s bill with superb efficiency. She took the money, went home to have a bath and rest, and would come directly for dinner at mealtime.

The catering team carried a portion of the wild boar meat back to make braised pork; the rest was taken away by the cold storage.

Returning to the neighborhood and while taking the elevator upstairs, Ye Nai finally had time to glance at her phone.

The messages in the team leader’s chat group were already 99+, many of which were historical messages from a few days ago. The latest messages were all about them knowing Ye Nai had returned and brought back a rich harvest.

[I’m back, just got home.]

[Oh, finally a reply.]

[Yezi, you’re quite the celebrity now. Everyone’s saying you’re a natural Secret Realm Hunter.]

[Haha, right now this natural hunter needs to take a shower and change clothes, I’m dirty and stinky.]

[Hahahaha, rest well, rest well.]

[The catering team is making braised wild pork tonight, they asked me to join them, shall we go together later? I’ll ride with you guys, not taking the motorcycle, my back and butt hurt from riding these past few days.]

[Hahahaha, sure, let’s go together.]

Upon arriving home, Ye Nai rolled out the furniture, showered, changed clothes, and collapsed into the beanbag chair. She connected her phone to the projector to auto-play short videos, and as she listened, her head tilted and she began snoring softly.

As she drowsily drifted off to sleep, she thought about how exhausting it was to bring back so many living creatures by motorcycle; the ride back was uncomfortable, and if given the chance, she definitely wanted to get a car driver’s license—or at least a tractor license to haul more in a trailer.

She slept soundly until the sound of the phone ringing woke her up.

The team leaders had first messaged her to come downstairs and got no response, so they took turns calling her. Hearing her muffled voice, they knew she must be asleep.

Though the call awakened her, she felt refreshed after the brief nap and quickly went downstairs to meet everyone and ride to dinner.

By the time they reached the canteen, it was bustling with activity; the entire military camp knew that there was going to be good food tonight, and they had already started lining up even before mealtime.

The squads out on missions, though still in the military, didn’t eat with the ordinary warriors but had to buy their own meal tickets to get food. The benefit of paying themselves was that they could occasionally bring outsiders to eat, an advantage Ye Nai could enjoy.

Rabbit meat was one of the main dishes. The diced rabbit was deep-fried and then stir-fried with chili peppers, making it shiny with oil and spicy and appetizing. Just looking at it made one hungry. The braised pork wasn’t neglected either; the meat provided by Ye Nai, processed by the fungus, had none of the strange gamey or fishy smell. The amount of spices needed was much less, making it even more delicious.

With these two big dishes, anything else was just a random addition to complete the meal.

Ye Nai ate without lifting her head, making sure to scoop up every last drop of sauce on her plate.

The captains nearby were just like her, eating away and praising the food.

"Today’s wild pork is really good, I didn’t taste any off-flavors at all."

"They didn’t use too many spices either, the meat itself is high quality."

"It shows that they were clean when they skinned and cut the meat. Even at ordinary level, with this kind of processing, it could sell for a Good Grade price."

"Judging from the energy contained, it’s at least Good Grade."

"Getting it this clean takes a lot of effort, Yezi didn’t sell it at a loss, did she?"

"Nope." Ye Nai, chewing on her rice and busy as ever, replied, "Priced at Good Grade, sold for High Grade."

"That’s fine then, as long as she didn’t lose out."

"Director Zhuo is still reliable in his work."

"Hey, just as I arrive, I hear you guys talking smack about me."

A strange voice came from behind them, and as everyone turned to look, they saw a middle-aged man standing there with a dinner plate, smiling.

"Oh, Director Zhuo, come over here, have a seat,"

The group was a bunch of smart alecks, and upon seeing Director Zhuo Yonglin from the procurement department approaching, Captain Cao Jie, who was sitting opposite Ye Nai, immediately stood up with his own plate to make room.

Director Zhuo sat down with a hearty laugh.

"Hello, Director Zhuo,"

Ye Nai politely greeted him, looking the picture of a gentle, sweet, and easily bullied young girl.

Her smile was sweet, but those present knew her capabilities well, and weren’t dazzled by her beautiful smile into thinking she was harmless and ordinary.

This was indeed a natural advantage for her.

"Good, good, good, little Yezi has really helped us out a lot, this year we’re going to have the most lavish New Year feast."

"When is the cooking chief arriving? Our Ye has been working hard just to enjoy the chef’s cooking,"

"He’s coming tomorrow, really, I’ve called and confirmed. Once he arrives, we’ll set the menu first,"

"Oh~~~" Everyone at the table immediately clapped and cheered.

"Knowing we have good ingredients here, the chef always comes faster than anywhere else,"

"We must pamper the chef this time so he’ll come back again," Director Zhuo said as he took a bite of diced rabbit, shaking his head with contentment.

"How far in the future is the next time?" Ye Nai asked curiously.

"Ah, it’s the Commemoration Day for the construction of Danger Zone 5 on March 5th," the captains nearby suddenly perked up.

"Eh, there’s a Commemoration Day?" Ye Nai genuinely didn’t know, this was the first time she’d heard of it.

"The scale of the Danger Zone now, it was all built up little by little from the start, a lot of people died, it was as dangerous as pioneering in the Secret Realm,"

"Every Danger Zone has its own Commemoration Day, ours is mid-March,"

"Next year it’s the 15th anniversary," Director Zhuo reminded them.

"Only 15 years?" Ye Nai found it hard to believe, "I thought it had been many more years."

"The enemy invasion was 50 years ago. Eight years later, the Blue Star people finally gave birth to the Awakeners. It took almost twenty years to drive back all the Otherworld enemies within the national borders back through the Space Channel, holding the national border to prevent foreign enemies from flooding in, and to clean up the enemy’s leftover battlefield trash within the country to establish Danger Zones. Resources in manpower, finances, and materials were limited, so we could only take them on one by one. Danger Zone 5 has been established for 15 years now," Director Zhuo explained patiently, "Actually, Town Number 1 has a longer history than these few Danger Zones."

"Oh~" Ye understood the special reason Director Zhuo chose to sit here, it was indeed worth celebrating this memorable day with festivity, "For this Commemoration Day, should we stock up on more meat?"

"Anything works, by then we won’t just be eating ourselves, but we’ll also have guests to entertain,"

"To entertain guests with good stuff, does that include giant frog meat?"

"Yes, of course it counts,"

The captains nearby also voiced their agreement; a mission for hunting after the New Year was set.

"But, we can only bring back the giant frog meat,"

"You want it alive?" Ye quickly understood, "We can’t bring the giant frogs back alive; nobody can control them."

"No need, no need, no need for giant frogs; today’s wild piglets are just perfect,"

"That’s easy," Ye’s face relaxed, "As long as we deal with the big pig, catching the piglets alive won’t be difficult."
