Chapter 299: You are not the only one with that ability

[Skill Activated: Origin Sever]

Blue light gathered around Caelus’s palm before shooting forward in a beam that connected directly with the crimson energy surrounding Reign.

The Origin of Crimson Lion’s Ascension shattered.

The crimson flames coating Reign’s body collapsed instantly, dispersing into harmless wisps of red light that faded before they touched the ground.

His enhanced speed vanished.

His multiplied strength disappeared.

Everything that made his ultimate skill devastating simply ceased to exist.

Reign’s expression twisted into pure shock as he stumbled forward, his suddenly weakened body struggling to adjust to the abrupt power loss.

"What... what did you do?"

His voice came out strangled, disbelief cracking his composure completely.

His strongest trump card had been erased before it could fully manifest.

"You’re not the only one who can lock down a power," Caelus replied calmly.

Without Crimson Lion’s Ascension, Reign was just a Level 50 fighter facing someone who had already predicted his every move.

"Y-You knew!" Reign’s eyes widened in shock. "How is that possible?!"

Caelus didn’t say anything and pressed forward immediately.

Holy Sword Surge coating his Ruyi Jingu Bang with golden energy as he closed the distance.

His first strike caught Reign across the jaw, the enhanced blow snapping his head sideways.

The second strike followed before Reign could recover, driving into his solar plexus and doubling him over.

Telekinesis grabbed debris from the battlefield and hurled it from three different angles simultaneously.

Reign deflected the first piece, dodged the second, but the third caught him across the back of his skull.

The Ancient Dragon God’s golden claws swept downward as Reign stumbled, the manifestation’s attack perfectly timed with Caelus’s physical assault.

Reign barely managed to raise his guard, but the impact sent shockwaves through his arms and drove him to one knee.

"Impossible," Reign gasped while struggling to rise. "You shouldn’t be this strong, you weren’t this strong!"

Caelus didn’t respond with words.

Instead, he launched another combination that forced Reign to defend desperately.

Holy Sword Surge shredded through Reign’s weakened defenses while Telekinesis constantly disrupted his footing and balance.

Every time Reign tried to counterattack, Caelus was already moving to exploit the opening it created.

Every time Reign tried to create distance, the Ancient Dragon God’s manifestation cut off his escape route.

The battle had completely reversed.

Reign fought fiercely despite his disadvantage, his pride refusing to accept defeat even as his body accumulated damage.

A golden fist crashed through his guard and sent him spinning.

Before he could recover, Telekinesis pinned his arms to his sides.

The Ancient Dragon God’s massive palm descended and slammed him into the ground with enough force to create a crater.

Reign’s body bounced once before going still.

His eyes remained open, but his consciousness had been long gone.

The Top Genius of the Crimson Fang Guild was dead.

Died at the hands of Caelus Kross, someone who did not possess the backing of a guild.

Across the battlefield, Sylvia had been systematically dismantling Garrett’s defenses.

The knowledge she gained from experiencing his Gravity Domain had made her nearly impossible to trap.

She flowed around invisible zones like water around stones, her Blood Sword leaving shallow cuts across Garrett’s body with every exchange.

"Stand still!" Garrett roared while expanding his domain to maximum range.

Sylvia’s grin widened as she deliberately stepped into a gravity zone, her body suddenly weighing three times normal.

But instead of struggling against the increased weight, she used it.

Her legs pushed against the ground with tremendous force, launching her directly toward Garrett with speed that defied the very domain meant to slow her.

The Crimson Sovereign manifested fully behind her, its massive claws descending toward Garrett from above.

Garrett’s halberd rose to intercept, the blade catching the Fighting Spirit’s attack.

But that was exactly what Sylvia wanted.

While Garrett focused on the Crimson Sovereign, Sylvia’s Blood Sword swept toward his exposed left side.

He twisted desperately, but the blade still carved a deep gash across his ribs.

Blood sprayed across the ground as Garrett stumbled backward.

"You’re actually pretty fun," Sylvia admitted cheerfully. "But playtime is over."

She pressed her advantage ruthlessly, her Blood Sword becoming a crimson blur as she attacked from angles that Garrett’s Gravity Domain couldn’t protect.

The Crimson Sovereign coordinated perfectly with her movements, its claws sweeping through zones of altered gravity as though they didn’t exist.

Garrett’s defenses crumbled piece by piece.

A slash across his arm forced him to drop his halberd.

A strike to his knee buckled his stance.

The final blow came from the Crimson Sovereign itself, its massive palm slamming into Garrett’s chest and launching him across the battlefield.

He crashed into the ground and died just like that.

Sylvia walked toward Caelus while dragging Garrett’s unconscious body behind her/

She dropped him beside Reign’s crater before tilting her head curiously.

"Hubby, Hugs." Sylvia smiled ear to ear as she accomplished her missions.

By now, she understood that Caelus had reset time.

And without the combined attack, she too emerged victorious.

Silence fell across the battlefield as the last echoes of combat faded.

Then chaos erupted.

Genesis players surged forward with triumphant roars, their voices combining into a deafening cheer that echoed across the entire town.

"WE WON!"

"GENESIS! GENESIS! GENESIS!"

The remaining Shadow Halberd and Crimson Fang members looked around with hollow expressions, their morale completely shattered.

Some dropped their weapons immediately and raised their hands in surrender.

Others turned and fled toward the town gates, unwilling to face whatever fate awaited captured invaders.

Nobody tried to continue fighting.

Mason pushed through the crowd with visible relief on his face.

"Sir Caelus, Lady Sylvia, that was absolutely incredible!"

He was glad that he chose these two and this town.

The livestream chat exploded with messages too fast to read.

[THEY ACTUALLY WON!]

[Two people defeated guild leaders!]

[Genesis is insane!]

[I’m transferring there tomorrow!]

[To be able to defeat Reign Bloodfang, this is going to be on the news I’m 100% sure.]

[Sylvia is terrifying and beautiful. I thought she was just a normal singer, but now I understand why retired all of a sudden. She should be in the domain instead of singing.]

From this moment forward, Genesis was a force nobody could underestimate.

Caelus looked down at the two dead level 50 Guild Geniuses silently.

Two incredibly valuable Talents lay before him right now.

Adaptation Wheel and Gravity Domain.

His Endless Extraction had limited uses per rank, making every extraction a crucial decision.

But these Talents were worth it and he was going to advance to Elite either way.

Caelus slowly raised his hand.

Golden light began gathering around his palm as Endless Extraction activated.
