The battlefield fell silent as the Riftbound Bear’s corpse slowly dissolved into particles, the creature’s body vanishing completely before Caelus and Sylvia could attempt extraction.
As soon as that happened, consecutive system notifications immediately appeared before their eyes as golden light erupted from them.

The livestream chats also exploded with reactions.

Caelus suddenly remembered the Government App that allowed them to contribution points.
He turned toward Sylvia. "Sylvia. Scan the Raid Boss."
Sylvia immediately opened the official Player Application.
She scanned the area where the bear had been. One minute later, a notification appeared.

Sylvia opened the Contribution Leaderboard. She and Caelus examined it together. The rankings displayed clearly.

"Let’s keep hunting," he said. "There are still plenty of Riftbound Beasts."
Sylvia nodded enthusiastically.
Before leaving, Caelus suddenly remembered something. "Wait, There’s an extract option around me, let me see what it is."
He focused on the lingering spatial energy as he activated Endless Extraction.
A notification appeared immediately.

[Spatial Fragment: A fragment containing traces of spatial attribute.]
Caelus stored the fragment in his inventory.
The two then began traveling through New York. Widespread destruction became more apparent. Emergency sirens continued echoing throughout the city.
Police evacuated civilians toward safe zones. Players and Guild Members continuously fought monsters in every direction. Smaller Riftbound Beasts continued emerging from unstable spatial tears.
While traveling through one damaged district, Caelus spotted someone familiar. The person was chewing bubblegum with a bored expression.
It was Candy Charlotte.
Candy noticed them first. She blew a large pink bubble as she spoke. "Yo."
"Good work, Candy," Caelus commented as he and Sylvia arrived next to her.
However, before they could continue, a familiar voice called out.
"Big Brother Origin!"
Freya arrived with an excited expression. She immediately greeted Caelus enthusiastically.
Seeing everyone here, Caelus decided to make a suggestion. "How about we just go together and deal with the rifts?"
Freya and Candy readily agreed. Hence, they swiftly formed a party to search for monsters.
They encountered a pack of Riftbound creatures moments later.
Caelus shot forward first.
Swoosh!
His spear tore through the first creature’s throat. Lightning exploded from the wound. Chaos Erosion took hold immediately.
Sylvia moved beside him seamlessly. Crimson Sovereign formed blood constructs that impaled three beasts simultaneously. Black-red lightning crackled through the constructs.
Candy formed her pink energy sword. She bisected another creature with a single swing.
Freya activated Life Bringer. Green energy gathered around her. She summoned two Life Spirits that charged into the remaining beasts.
They continued hunting systematically. They moved from district to district without stopping.
Caelus’s overwhelming offense combined perfectly with Sylvia’s support. Candy’s defensive skills protected Freya and her spirits whenever needed. The teamwork flowed naturally.
After defeating several waves, Caelus noticed something different. Glowing crystals began dropping from defeated creatures. The shards pulsed with faint light.

A notification explained that collecting enough Level Shards allowed for immediate level advancement. The group began collecting every shard, combining their rewards.
During one intense battle, Caelus suddenly paused mid-strike.
He felt a familiar sensation again. Someone was watching him.
This feeling... He first received it when he arrived next to a spatial rift.
He slowly turned toward a nearby spatial tear.
Deep inside, a gigantic eye quietly observed him.
Caelus frowned. "Again... Is that thing actually sentient?"
The eye continued staring without blinking.
Caelus became annoyed at this, the more he felt it, the more annoyed he became.
He activated Origin Sever and swung Ruyi at the eye,
The next moment, the invisible gaze was severed.
The eye disappeared immediately.
Caelus however, remained thoughtful.
"What are you? And why are you watching me and others?"
He genuinely wondered whether this rift was sentient or not. Was it watching all humans and studying them, and only a few noticed it?
Then, the Rift in front of them suddenly became unstable.
Spatial energy fluctuated wildly as multiple Riftbound monsters emerged simultaneously.
Everyone immediately entered combat without an ounce of hesitation.
Caelus led the charge. His spear blurred through the place as he cut down three beasts rapidly.
Sylvia formed a massive blood wall. Candy launched explosive pink energy orbs. Freya’s Life Spirits tore into the flanks.
Time passed as they continued hunting across New York. The four moved through different districts systematically. Each battle was swift and efficient.
Caelus fought a spatial wolf with lightning-fast movements. Sylvia restrained a massive bear with blood constructs. Candy casually deflected attacks while yawning. Freya commanded her Life Spirits with surprising coordination.
They encountered dozens of Riftbound creatures. Each fight added more Level Shards to their collection. The crystals accumulated rapidly.
Eventually, golden light washed over Caelus.

The spatial tears sealed themselves with flashes of purple light. The city gradually became quieter. The combined efforts of countless Players finally eliminated the invasion.
"Looks like It’s over."
Then, every player’s phone vibrated simultaneously.
A new notification arrived from the government. Caelus pulled out his phone.

Seeing this message, Caelus put away his phone as he exchanged a glance with Sylvia and others. "Let’s go and get the rewards."
They agreed immediately.
The four began heading toward Manhattan together and the way, Caelus also was able to contact his parents once again. They were safe.
After several minutes, the enormous government complex came into view. The New York Player Operations Headquarters towered above the surrounding buildings. Countless players were already gathering outside.
