Chapter 262: Ancient Dragon God’s usefulness, Crimson Sovereign and Domain Event?
Caelus slowly opened his eyes. He looked at the final notification regarding Fighting Spirit.
[You may equip the Fighting Spirit: Ancient Dragon God.]
[Would you like to equip?]
[Y/N]
Caelus immediately selected Yes without hesitation.
Like traits, he could only equip one fighting spirit, but that was fine. Like the Skill Slot Rune, there must be a rune for fighting spirits too. If he got two fighting spirits, he would be OP, right?
However, his thoughts were cut short after he clicked yes and the entire world around him lost its color.
Everything became black and white for a brief instant. Time itself seemed to freeze in that instance, and then a deafening draconic roar echoed across the park.
ROAAAR!
Behind Caelus, the shadow of the Ancient Dragon God erupted into existence once more. Unlike before, this time it was no longer a vague silhouette.
It was far more solid and majestic. Endless streams of Aura poured out from Caelus’s body like waterfalls of golden light.
The dragon’s enormous body shifted from black and white into brilliant golden radiance. Its scales shimmered with divine power. Each one reflected the light of countless stars.
Aura violently churned around Caelus as it happened.
The surrounding air began twisting from the overwhelming pressure. Golden Aura wrapped around his body like living flames.
Two sharp, straight energy dragon horns slowly emerged from his forehead, along with a dragon tail made out of energy. When he opened his eyes once again, they glowed with golden draconic radiance.
Several notifications appeared one after another.
[You have successfully equipped Ancient Dragon God.]
[You may freely use it during battle.]
[Your Fighting Spirit can harm non-physical beings.]
Caelus read through each of the notifications.
Ghosts, spirits, souls, curses, and other intangible enemies were no longer beyond his reach; he could effectively deal damage to them. He had heard that Arkham River (10-20), which was right past Misty Wood, had ghosts in there.
It was an extra layer of protection.
His lips curved into a satisfied smile.
The overwhelming Aura around him gradually settled.
The dragon illusion disappeared, the horns retracted, and the twisting atmosphere returned to normal.
Only a faint golden Aura still lingered around Caelus before disappearing completely.
Caelus then opened his status window.
He wanted to review everything he had gained.

His talents now included Endless Extraction, Star King, Ascended Body, and Life Bringer.
His skills included Origin Sever, Temporal Regression, Star King’s Sword Vault, Holy Sword Surge, Golden Light Palm, Lightning Vow, and Telepathy.
His traits included Telekinesis and Blood Generation.
Chaos Erosion had been updated with the new healing attribute.
Life Vision was now available as a passive ability.
He felt satisfied with his current growth.
Then, Caelus closed the status window as he turned around to face Sylvia.
"You should awaken your Fighting Spirit too. I will help with your synchronization."
She nodded without hesitation.
"Okay."
She too wanted to get back her aura and her Crimson Sovereign. A Fighting Spirit would be handy in this world where you could only use a limited amount of skills.
She immediately followed his suggestion.
Sylvia began utilizing the Aura Manifestation Technique as Caelus used himself as a medium to draw power from another nearby tree and sent it toward Sylvia.
Crimson Aura slowly began gathering around her body. The air became noticeably warmer.
And behind her, an enormous crimson figure gradually materialized.
Boom!
The Crimson Sovereign appeared with overwhelming regal pressure.
Scarlet blood surrounded its body.
Its appearance made the light around them go dark for a while, but Sylvia, who had regained all of her aura, quickly began controlling it and took it back into her body.
Sylvia then successfully equipped her Fighting Spirit.
Unlike Caelus’s overwhelming eruption, her awakening was calmer, but it was equally majestic.
Caelus quietly watched from the side.
Freya, on the other hand, excitedly ran over.
"Big Brother Origin! Me too! I want to awaken my Fighting Spirit as well! Me next! Me next!" She looked full of anticipation.
Caelus smiled apologetically seeing her enthusiasm.
He couldn’t simply say she couldn’t do it, could he? That would make her sad.
He had already seen through her aura level. It was still at 10/10, which was base-level aura, and he could also tell her body and soul were synchronized, meaning there was nothing to restore. She would have to grind for it.
"Not yet. It’ll take time," Caelus said with a chuckle.
Freya puffed out her cheeks in a pout.
"Why?"
"Your Aura is still too weak. Once your Aura grows stronger, you’ll be able to awaken yours too."
Freya nodded despite looking slightly disappointed.
In the end, Caelus also decided to give her the Aura Manifestation Technique. The one they got was a really good one; hence, it would come in handy for her.
Before anyone could continue the conversation, several figures suddenly appeared nearby.
Multiple bodyguards dressed in formal uniforms respectfully approached.
Their movements were disciplined, and with one glance, Caelus was able to tell they were extremely strong. He would lose in one move if he fought them.
Every one of them bowed toward Freya immediately after stopping at a respectable distance.
One bodyguard spoke up.
"Young Miss. It is time to return. Chairman Allison has requested your presence."
Freya sighed hearing this.
She clearly wanted to stay longer. But, it was time to leave.
Freya turned toward Caelus.
"Bye, Big Brother Origin! I’ll come back tomorrow!"
She happily waved both hands.
She also waved toward Sylvia.
"Bye, Big Sister Sylvia!"
Sylvia smiled slightly as she waved her hands.
Caelus gently patted Freya’s head before she left.
The bodyguards escorted Freya away after giving a formal bow toward Caelus and Sylvia.
Soon, they disappeared into the distance.
"Okay. Let’s head home." He turned toward Sylvia and spoke. "The Domain should be opening soon."
"Yep. Let’s go. Hubby, I want to buy some groceries before we go," Sylvia said sweetly as she immediately held onto Caelus’s arm.
"Sure. Let’s get some on the way back."
The two of them left the park together.
They walked side by side through the streets of Queens. The evening air was cool and comfortable.
Sylvia occasionally glanced at Caelus’s satisfied expression.
"You look happy," she said softly.
"I am," Caelus replied. "We’ve both become stronger today."
Sylvia nodded.
"I’m glad we’re growing together."
Caelus reached out and took her hand. She squeezed his hand gently in response.
Soon, they reached the grocery store, bought some essentials, before eventually arriving back at the apartment.
After making simple preparations, they each activated their Origin Marks.
Light engulfed both of them.
Their surroundings blurred as space twisted.
A familiar sensation washed over their bodies. Moments later, they arrived inside the Domain once again.
Before either of them could speak, the system suddenly rang.
[Ding! A Domain Event has begun.]
[Easter Eggs have begun spawning throughout the Region Lord Territory.]

Caelus and Sylvia exchanged surprised looks seeing this. Neither expected a Domain Event immediately after entering.
