Chapter 214: Visit from Magnus Roan, The Four Crown III! A Strange Glitch in the vision
As soon as Caelus finished his shower, the doorbell to his mansion abruptly rang.
Sensing this, he swiftly used his aura perception to see who it was.
Now that he was a Crown, it could extend to 12 km.
He quickly found his perception cutting off the instant it tried to reach the person.
Caelus was intrigued by this. He swiftly took Sylvia and headed to where the power was coming from.
He slowly opened the door.
Not because he was dumb, but because he had felt a familiar presence just before the aura cut off.
The door slowly opened. He saw Old Man Welt standing there with a tall man, a youthful look on his face.
It was Magnus Roan, the pillar and head of the Player’s Association. He had been present during the battle with Azula. Now, seeing him in person, Caelus rethought this man.
For starters, he looked young.
But that could be attributed to the Crown.
A Crown-Rank lived for 500 years.
Speaking of which, his own lifespan had drastically increased.
It was at 850 right now.
Sylvia, on the other hand, had a massive stretched lifespan of 1500.
Their mythical grade Crown, along with their awakening of the ascended body, increased their lifespans unexpectedly.
They were both young people who would stay young for countless years to come.
He kinda wanted to reach Sylvia’s lifespan, but that was proving hard with her vampiric powers.
He didn’t want his girlfriend to outlive him.
In fact, he remembered the talk with Sylvia back at Fortis-01 High. She said she would take care of him when he grew old. But he wanted to be the one taking care of Sylvia.
"Greetings, Ender." The man, Magnus, said awkwardly.
He didn’t know how to react. The person he was looking at was said to be some legendary Ender, one of the most powerful beings in the Origin Network. But at the same time, this person was only 16. So he didn’t know how to act here.
"Come on in." Caelus replied. "Let’s talk inside. I wouldn’t want Old Man Welt standing there for so long."
Old Man Welt and Brenda were the ones who basically ran the kingdom for Caelus now, and he was grateful for that.
"Hahaha! What are you saying?" Old Man Welt laughed. "Thanks to your help, my lifespan only increased with the aura training. I can still work perfectly fine."
Indeed, that was one of the benefits of aura. It let you work like the strongest bodybuilder in town.
For example, say a person on their deathbed awakened it. Even if their lifespan wasn’t increased by the awakening, they would be full of health and immense strength, looking like the healthiest old man ever.
But the next day, without a doubt, he would die.
Lifespan was something not even aura could fix.
Once they were seated, Magnus Roan, the player head, began speaking.
"As you might know, Mister Ender, things are changing drastically around us."
"There is a planet invading us, and other planets have sent their spy drones to our place too."
"We are in a dire situation where every other planet is prying on us right now."
Caelus naturally knew about this.
"Hm. I believe you came here to invite me to help?" Caelus didn’t let Magnus Roan beat around the bush.
Hearing this, Magnus took a deep breath.
"Yes." He spoke. "That is precisely why I am here."
"Currently our world only has four Crown III. Not counting the angel with you." Magnus said with a deep look.
This twist was not something he saw coming. The holy church’s bringer was with the Ender?
He believed the faction had already split. One side took the angel’s side, the other took Mark Twilight’s side. And he knew the latter was a very dangerous man.
A War will soon erupt and he didn’t know how he was going to mediate it. Two powerful beings at crown clashing can easily bring massive destruction to the world.
He then stopped his monologue and then introduced the Crown Experts.
"The four are me, Mark Twilight, Jin-San, someone from the Eastern Continent, and the King of Aurelius Kingdom, King Coconut."
"Coconut?!" Caelus was baffled. He immediately had the urge to laugh.
"Yes. The Aurelius family always names their kids after some sort of food. Like how the current princesses are called Mint and Bubblegum."
"Is their son called Peanut Butter by any chance?" Caelus asked.
"No. But King Coconut’s great grandfather was called Peanut Butter."
"..." Caelus’s face twitched even more while Sylvia burst out laughing.
Magnus, on the other hand, said all of it with a dead serious face. To him, these were just normal royal names.
Caelus swallowed his laugh and got back on track.
"But why rely on my power? I can’t win against a Crown III." Caelus replied.
"You can’t, but..." Magnus Roan stared at Caelus deeply. "You are a monster. I know you can reach Crown II combat score at any given moment."
"You think too much of me." Caelus waved his hand politely.
"...." The others looked at him strangely.
Did this kid think they were praising him?
That was most definitely not the case.
"How about this. If they do attack, I will provide assistance. Of course, I won’t guarantee that I’ll be at the frontlines." Caelus replied.
He valued his life. There was no way he was just going to blindly agree.
Especially since one of their enemies had an ascended body like him and Sylvia.
"That works." Magnus Roan said. A small breath of relief left him. "If you do show up, then on behalf of the Player’s Association, I will make sure you are rewarded."
"Alright." Caelus nodded, satisfied with the little talk.
Magnus didn’t linger. He was a busy man, managing the affairs of the Player’s Association. And by now, the Domain had already opened.
Sylvia and Caelus swiftly went in.
However, just as they went in, Caelus saw a flicker of glitch for a split second. The world around him stuttered, like a screen blinking on and off.
’Strange, what was that?’ Caelus frowned as he fully arrived in the Domain.
However, just as he descended, his expression changed.
