Chapter 84: Mountain Orc
A powerful explosion ripped through the entire room. One minute I was fighting against the members of the guild, and the next moment we were sent flying across the room.
It was as if a powerful gust of wind had ripped through the space, destroying everything in its path.
The room was suddenly filled with the sound of loud grunts. As I slowly raised my head, I saw bodies lying about, and the bar, the boxing ring, everything that occupied the room was torn to pieces.
Mixed in with the sound of pained grunts, I could hear footsteps.
As I looked up, I saw the back of what looked to be a middle-aged man walking through the wreckage.
"Who the hell do you think you are?!"
The middle-aged man stopped and slowly turned his head to see a blue-haired girl prying herself off the ground.
"You guys think you can just barge into our guild and destroy our home?! I won’t allow it!"
SNAP!
The woman’s legs immediately snapped as she was sent crashing into the ground.
CRACK!
CRACK!
"Arhhhh! Stop! Please!"
It was as if gravity had increased in the room, crushing everything against the ground.
The sound of bones crushing echoed through the room as everyone was pressed against the ground.
I quickly covered my body with obsidian to protect myself but even without protection, the attack wasn’t enough to kill me since my body was much sturdier than most due to my high defense.
It allowed me to shrug off magical blast and attacks that would kill most.
On the other hand, the guild members screamed as the sound of snapping continued until silence permeated the room.
With a blank, emotionless look on his face, the man turned and continued through a back room.
...
A few seconds later, Amelia felt her heart flutter as she stared up at the man before her.
"Father..."
"Mr. Veymont, you’re here. I have your daughter waiting for you."
The man ignored them both as he continued towards his daughter.
His expression was mostly blank, but as he stood in front of her, his brows suddenly arched with a knowing look.
"What have you done to yourself?"
His eyes lingered, on her stomach which she protectively covered. It wasn’t so obvious that most would realize she was pregnant her father had high senses and could easily tell.
Amelia turned her face away, indicating she had nothing to say.
"Did you do this to spite me?"
"This has nothing to do with you," she finally snapped.
Meanwhile, Blood stood to the side with a confused look on his face, since he had no idea what either of them was talking about.
He instead quickly brushed it off as a father-daughter squabble and attempted to raise his matter.
"Now that you’re here, I wanted to speak to you about a possible alliance between the two of us. I think this arrangement could benefit both our guilds."
"We are going home," the man said directly to his daughter, treating Blood like a common house fly he had no interest in.
"And my child? I won’t allow you to hurt us."
"We are going home."
"No, not unless you tell me what you plan on doing with me, I won’t gi anywhere with you! Just, please.."
Blood clenched his fist angrily before boldly stepping in between the two.
"You forget that she is my hostage. This is a negotiation. You can’t come here and take what you please."
Cassius Veymont stared down at the man standing before him with emotionless eyes.
His mouth opened to speak but then closed in the same instant. Instead, he simply waved his hand, sending the man who stood before him flying across the room.
He then forcibly took hold of his daughter’s hand.
Terrified of what might happen if she allowed him to take her home, Amelia pounded her fist against his chest in an effort to fight back, but it felt as if she was pounding against steel.
"No! I won’t let you take me."
"You don’t have a choice in this."
Tears flowed down her face.
"Then just wait! Wait until I have my child, I’ll give them over to their father, then I’ll go with you. I’ll let them go, I promise. I’ll go with you without a fight, I promise, just please let me have this," she pleaded, but her father was unmoved.
His mind was already made up. He pulled her forward, ready to forcibly drag her home, but just then...
"You bastard!"
Blood climbed to his feet, his body growing increasingly larger by the second.
He was fed up with the other guild leaders treating him as if he was nothing.
Even his own brother lied to him and stole what rightfully belonged to him.
They treated him wrongly just because some stupid ranking said he wasn’t as good as them.
Well, screw the rankings! He wouldn’t tolerate anyone treating him like trash.
His muscles swelled, ripping the clothes from his body as his skin took on a dark green hue.
Large tusks erupted from his mouth, and his eyes became more beastly. He now towered over the father-daughter duo.
In his eyes, he wasn’t inferior to any of the other guild masters. At least not in this world.
He didn’t become the king of orcs because his brother was a top player. He did so on his own strength.
He awakened in Vesperia as a member of a nomadic tribe of orcs who traveled the world in search of battle.
He fought many battles and proved himself, causing him to gain the trust of the chieftain.
He did all of this so that he could steal the chieftain’s prized jewel.
It was a beautiful green stone, covered in precious metals with a string around it to form a necklace.
To the orcs, and the non-player characters of that world, this necklace was just a beautiful piece of jewelry, but for players, it was an artifact.
An EXP multiplier...
With this exp multiplier, he could level up much faster than most orcs and players.
When an orc increases their level, they undergo several evolutions.
Blood had evolved 5 times already, gaining the race of Mountain Orc.
But because of the orc’s bloodline, he is still considerably weaker than the top players who possessed many abilities that could be considered cheats.
But the final evolution of the orc could finally propel him to that height.
He learned many things when he was with his first tribe. One of those things is that no orc had managed to reach the 6th and final evolution in over a thousand years.
The final evolution of an orc is a Primordial Giant.
In Vesperia, they are considered one of the strongest races to ever live. Some were so big that their corpses formed entire continents when they died.
This was Blood’s goal. To become one.
He boldly marched towards Amelia and her father, but just then, a sound akin to a sonic blast could be heard from above as a figure cloaked in black crashed through the ceiling, slamming the mountain orc into the ground!
