The phoenix spoke seriously, staring into the empty eyes of the whale: "I don’t know what connection you have with her... but... if it means anything, she looked like that dwarf. Her fluctuations were different from what I remember, like they were two different people; but at the same time, I knew it was her. It must be related to the method the queen used on both of them."

The whale murmured: "Different fluctuations... well, it doesn’t matter. Even the creator herself trying, with all the effort everyone put in, you were still far from completing the Dao, right?"

"Before, yes. All the heroes, Divine Inquisitors, or anyone with the ability could try to complete the Dao; since she didn’t indicate she was even close to completing it. I read her Dao... it seemed like something very important was missing. But... after the Cauldron was mastered, all the immortal heroes focused on that."

Alm and Bruno snorted. They had also read the technique of the tattoos they had. The Nine Stars Tree gave them that. It was missing the last level, which she thought could be achieved with the Law of Origin. There was nothing even mentioning that... which means Isla was stubborn and tough enough to hide it, even from the queen.

Surely the queen knew she had hidden something, that’s why she kept her there and used her to complete it. Now, with that missing part, they had to figure out that this law was the key again.

"What changed?" the whale asked dryly.

The phoenix said coldly: "What changed is that, even without the full technique, she was still terrifying and already managed to locate the item from the Primordial Chaos and capture it. The Reincarnation Mirror is currently sealed inside the Alpenglow planet. With everyone focused on that and her being close, it wouldn’t be a surprise if, even without completing the technique, they found a way to control it."

The whale snorted, then turned to Ruri, who was trying to calm herself, though the tears didn’t stop. "It’s okay, she’s strong. That’s good news, now that I know where she is... I can finally save her."

Ruri turned to him and nodded, her eyes shining. The phoenix widened her eyes and spoke quickly: "Wait, you don’t understand. Yes, the queen isn’t there right now, but it’s impossible to enter without being noticed. Not to mention it’s completely filled with immortals. At the slightest sign of something wrong, the queen could come back immediately."

The whale snorted, not caring. "So what?"

He took a deep breath, then looked at the phoenix with a dark gleam in his eyes. It was enough to suffocate her: "Both are being used there, and they’re surely suffering a lot. The mirror is there too? Great. The queen wants to conquer everything at once, and she’s busy with something else; this is the best opportunity."

"But... this is madness," the phoenix murmured, tense, but saw the whale staring at an empty space.

They accepted the rewards of the Side Quest without hesitation. They instinctively felt that the system also thought this was the best opportunity to turn the game around, after those losses. A new green screen appeared.

[Indicate mentally the assistants you wish to take, and the system will evaluate immediately.]

The whale snorted and thought of all his generals. This time, they had learned that taking too many would be a big problem.

[Evaluating...]

[Ruri was the only one approved.]

A green warning screen appeared in front of Ruri. It was the same message from before when she went on that mission.

[Warning 01: The system will take your true bodies to the Alpenglow planet.]

[Warning 02: All Qi and internal laws of the bodies will be emptied. Only the divine soul can be directly taken.]

[Do you wish to depart?] [Yes / No]

Alm and Bruno were stunned. First, the system made it clear why only Ruri had been approved: only she had a complete divine soul.

’Qi and laws will be drained from the body. It was very specific, but our inventory and Ruri’s beast world aren’t part of that. Technically, it’s not our body, it’s just connected to it,’ Alm thought quickly.

’If the system went out of its way to notify us, it seems correct. But… Ruri is a beast tamer, and if she’s taking her body, all her pets are coming along,’ Bruno commented, but then sighed. ’Our inventory is the same, but unfortunately, we can’t take our living allies without knowing what to expect on the other side. They can’t stay too long, and if we find out they can’t leave, things will quickly get desperate for no reason.’

Alm agreed. It was better to just take their weapons in the inventory. Ruri bringing her pets was enough. They didn’t even know if the pets would be able to go out and help, but in that case, they would just stay there in silence.

Ruri’s beast world was a technique that connected the energies of life, Qi, laws, and everything Ruri had, to her pets. For the pets to stay there, they had to have a mark from Ruri on their souls. This mark was like a slave seal, but of course, Ruri would never activate it to force her pets to do anything.

Still, no normal cultivator would accept having that on them. And if a pet stayed too long away from Ruri’s world, the mark would activate on its own, considering it had been stolen, causing great harm to the pet. In short, for a normal cultivator, having that would be very problematic, as they couldn’t stay far from Ruri.

The whale turned to Ruri and explained the warnings and his impressions. She spoke quickly: "I’ll summon everyone back. Foulu, Sanna, and Timero have absorbed everything from the Dragon Ascent Sect, and are just meditating. They can come with me into the beast world, maybe they’ll benefit from it there."

Alm and Bruno turned to Lieson and the phoenix. They would also go along on this mission, and the phoenix would be very useful. Ruri being able to bring her body was an excellent bonus from the system. But then they thought of something and asked the phoenix:

"Did the queen really eradicate the Celestial Dragons in the past?"

"Hm? Of course not. They live on the Alpenglow planet. Their power is very close to that of primordial beasts, and they can do some simple and unique things with it. There are only about a dozen primordial beasts alongside the queen; all the others are either sealed or were killed in the war. There are things only we can do, and we’re short on manpower for that. So those Dragons can help, and in that place, they can grow explosively."

The phoenix replied lightly, and Ruri almost jumped. This was perfect for her three pets. Alm and Bruno understood a bit more.

The queen had few gods by her side. They were sure of that from everything they had seen from her so far; she tried, at all costs, to have people complete their Daos or create something new to become deities. In the Heavenly Realm, where they trained their young heroes, or in the micro-universe of the Divine Inquisitors, she sought ways to accomplish this.

Primordial beasts were similar to gods, being one with the laws. Heroes, on the other hand, had the power to dominate the laws, but being one with them and dominating them were completely different things. Having soldiers with different abilities was essential. She saw the potential in those Celestial Dragons and wouldn’t waste them; even though they were only a bit similar to primordial beasts, they were still useful.

In a few minutes, Lieson, Runula, Coltia, Deryu, and the three young Celestial Dragons were already inside the beast world. As a bonus, the Ice Phoenix and the Chaos Yin Dragon would also be going along.

Ruri also had an army of draconic beasts, which Runula commanded. However, they were cultivating in the Dragon Ascent Sect and would hardly be that useful in this situation, so they stayed behind. Having many numbers didn’t mean much in such a dangerous mission.

Ruri made a great effort, burning all her Qi and laws; she wouldn’t need them anymore; this made the mark of the beast world stabilize on them, making it possible for them to stay a century away from her without any problems.

The pill with the Chaos Dragon was placed in the beast world to make sure nothing went wrong. Then, the whale briefly informed everyone about where they were going.

"Stay on high alert and be prepared. I don’t know how long I’ll take to return or what will happen at the end of this." With this warning, everyone nodded, swallowing hard.

After that, they focused on the system.

’Accept.’

Suddenly, the whale and Ruri were covered in celestial runes and simply disappeared before the eyes of everyone in the Yinblood Sect.
