The ultimate peak of the laws of earth, in its most destructive form, revealed itself to the world once again. Alm and Bruno took a deep breath, gripping the spear in their hands; they and Liumi worked together in perfect sync.
After spending nearly five thousand years inside Ruri’s world studying, they had fully assimilated the knowledge of immortal-level earth laws. However, their cultivation was still an issue. Even creating a small amount of that law consumed all the Qi in their bodies, and such a small amount wasn’t very useful.
But the solution was now in their hands. As a Divine Legendary-level immortal weapon, its power could channel all natural laws directly from the heavenly laws, delivering them to them. This power was, on a smaller scale, comparable to that of a hero.
Meanwhile, Liumi’s body had been designed as the perfect connection between Yin and Yang, ideal for use alongside the laws of earth. With her in their hands, they could wield anti-life.
But… these four were experienced and powerful immortals. Would they really be foolish enough to face this head-on?
In the brief moment of shock they experienced, that split second where they didn’t react, their fate was sealed. Everyone knew that underestimating a Heaven-Defier was a mistake, but saying that and actually acting cautiously were entirely different things.
They were used to being supreme beings, with everything beneath them deemed irrelevant. It was natural, instinctive even, for the four of them, which is why they never truly grasped the gravity of the situation.
From within their inventory, Alm and Bruno burned through an endless mass of stored Qi. This was all the Qi Ruri had extracted from the sealed worlds in this galaxy.
When the young disciples from the two enemy sects entered that place, without anyone noticing, the whale slipped in too, thanks to the help of his three infiltrators.
Inside, he already had all his allies in his inventory. Since they couldn’t stay in there for long, he released them to make the most of the benefits available and, on the way out, put them back.
The eyes of the round figure glowed like stars, supreme light radiating as, in that moment, the five felt their souls and minds gripped by an invincible force.
"That power… impossible…" the White Tiger murmured, panicked.
"Enjoy yourselves," the whale said, waving as anti-life meteors rained down.
Even with their celestial souls activated and brimming with energy, there was no guarantee they had enough power to kill them. Perhaps with the vast energy of the sealed worlds, it would’ve been possible. But they couldn’t do it that way.
These four supreme figures were very close to the queen. They had come only because they were summoned by their descendants; as for the Ice Phoenix, she was likely being monitored by the three to avoid any issues.
They certainly hadn’t expected to face something so grand. Everything happened so fast, and within minutes, they hadn’t even had time to understand what was happening, let alone try to send a message to the queen. Even at this very second, they hadn’t realized they couldn’t handle this.
Using the Eclipsing Divinity to kill them would leave significant traces. After this event, the immortal heroes would undoubtedly investigate everything, and it wouldn’t escape their senses. Naturally, the victorious Alliance of the war would be connected to the situation, and everyone would be thoroughly "investigated."
Alm and Bruno couldn’t let that happen. That’s why the entire plan was crafted with this possibility in mind. Everything had to be perfect, fast, and brutal. All allies gave their absolute best, knowing that a single mistake would cost their lives and everyone else’s in the sect.
*Growl!*
The four roared, spitting blood. The anti-life closed in, and each of them had a death planet aimed directly at them. Suppressed by the celestial soul, they couldn’t use their powers properly. But knowing their survival depended on it, they burned everything they had to fight back.
The four weren’t fools and had some knowledge of that power. They couldn’t even touch it, or they’d be doomed. Forcing every ounce of strength they had, they launched their attacks forward.
**BOOM!**
The planets were struck before reaching them, exploding violently. The entire queen’s universe felt and heard the impact. Four supreme powers burned every drop of energy they had. Even so, a significant portion of their attacks was nullified upon contact with the anti-life.
’We managed to avoid the worst...’ they thought in unison.
But…
Behind them, all the death Yin in the area rippled. A woman, pale as a corpse, appeared, pushing the Dao of the Dead Lady to its absolute limit.
The four didn’t realize what had happened until their bodies were pierced by death needles. All the Yin from countless dead cultivators was condensed into four venomous needles. It was the ultimate strike from Rehvka’s Dao.
In the eyes of the four, black Yin lines contaminated their bodies. One of them snorted. They were immortals, and that goddess was mortal. This was merely an annoyance, something that could never kill them… but it didn’t need to.
Right after they’d burned everything to survive, the poison affected their movements, and suddenly, they realized the reality around them had shifted. Only then did they notice they had fallen into a spatial trap.
Ruri waved, sealing them within the World Completeness.
She looked up at the whale in the skies. They exchanged a gesture, and the inventory was opened. Ruri closed her eyes, trembling, and spat out blood… she was already at her limit, having used every bit of her strength and even her divine soul. But she wasn’t someone simple—trained and battle-hardened her whole life, she could handle anything.
Without delay, Alm and Bruno placed that mass of runes into the inventory. Then, Ruri and Rehvka entered as well.
This was a new possibility that emerged after the inventory became a micro-universe. It fit perfectly with Ruri’s technique. Inside, they could deal with the four of them without leaving any trace. It would be as if they had disappeared, not died.
Alm and Bruno’s consciousnesses appeared inside the inventory. The work was still far from over.
They quickly devised a plan, an improvisation that seemed more like a leap of faith. There was no need to discuss; one knew exactly what was on the other’s mind, and both decided to act immediately.
Inside the inventory were all of their generals, except Almin, Venjio, Kaiyka; and Ruri, who was focused on maintaining her technique at full power. The others waited near the Tree of Chaos.
The two approached the tree and waved to control it. Its branches trembled, and because of its colossal size, it was as if the entire world had vibrated. Soon, an infinite number of fruits began to fall from its branches.
Alm and Bruno used all the remaining power of their celestial souls, and controlling the Tree of Chaos, they waved again.
The fruits exploded, transforming into pure karmic luck. Then, they merged this energy, creating a golden planet that shone like a small sun. Next, with another wave, they directed the planet toward the trunk of the Tree of Chaos, where everything disappeared as soon as it touched.
They both looked at the branches again, then sighed when they saw that new fruits were starting to appear. This time, exactly one hundred new, glowing fruits.
’It worked. Excellent,’ Bruno murmured, excited.
During this period of study, they had also deeply analyzed all the fragmented knowledge they had gained about the Primordial Light.
Since everything was integrated into the inventory, which was one with the Tree of Chaos, they gained new ideas and deeper understandings of everything.
These fruits always transformed the Empyrean who consumed them, elevating them to the level of the Empyrean that was stolen. However, they were made only of karmic luck. The level difference between the fruits lay only in the density of the luck and the way they had been configured.
This configuration partly derived from the technique used by the Queen to create the heroes, something Alm and Bruno had obtained back on the Pristine planet and developed their own alternative method. After so many deaths during the war, they finally had enough raw materials to train this idea.
Each of them picked a fruit and quickly analyzed it. All the generals waited anxiously. It didn’t take more than a second for the two to turn to them and send the fruits.
"Eat. This will transform you into Supreme Empyreans," Bruno declared calmly.
Meanwhile, Alm showed a mischievous look. Supreme? This would practically put them one step away from becoming true heroes. In the future, with just a small extra push, they could create their own... heroes?
’Anti-heroes?’ Bruno reflected, fully understanding what Alm was thinking. ’No, we gave that another name back then... they were... yes, Dark Crows.’
’What a cheesy name,’ Alm replied, watching everyone eat the fruits.
It took less than a minute since the four enemies entered the inventory. Alm and Bruno watched as Ruri trembled and spat blood; but her body was completely covered in violet scales, and a Yin dragon aura was being released at full power.
She wasn’t alone; Yinou helped her maintain her technique. The Chaos Dragon helped Ruri improve this skill, and together they could now offer much more efficient support inside that place.
There, a battle of absurd proportions was unfolding.
Runula, Deryu, Coltia, and Lieson were facing the four enemies alone. Naturally, victory seemed impossible. However, inside that space, the enemies had lost all connection with the heavenly laws and depended solely on their internal power — which, obviously, didn’t matter to them.
The four were extremely exhausted after facing the anti-life, poisoned by the Yin of death, with no time to purge it from their bodies. They were operating at most with 10% of their capabilities. To make things worse, they all felt the oppression of a primordial dragon power. But even this little power was enough for them to win easily... or so they expected.
Ruri’s four pets were not here to play around. Coltia, who had once been an immortal cultivator, had trained them all to perfection. Runula, who inherited the legacy of a terrifying ancient dragon, combined that with her Soul Eater bloodline, making her soul techniques truly terrifying and capable of subtly disorienting even those enemies.
Deryu took the front line. As a mutant wyvern, he had been fed and trained to the extreme all this time. Lieson, with a dense and exalted Fire Phoenix bloodline, was not behind the others.
During the years when Ruri was away on her main mission, her pets had been able to leave the bestial world and focus entirely on cultivation.
Lieson, in particular, benefited the most. When he reached the divine realms, Lyra and the Fire Phoenix spent time with him, assisting him. He received direct training from his ancestor on how to use his bloodline. This same Phoenix was the one who had descendants in the underworld, creating the Black Phoenix clan.
This happened after the two phoenixes died in the war and were reborn weakened. They tried to hide in the underworld. The Ice Phoenix had an easier time there due to its connection with Yin.
After one of the countless misunderstandings between the sisters, they separated. Perhaps this sealed their fate of being captured later. United, they were obviously stronger. However, the separation led the Fire Phoenix to find a dark elf on a planet... and the final result was that boy.
*ROAR!*
The black Wyvern roared furiously, blocking the advance of the White Tiger covered in immortal lightning. Deryu, bloodied, stood firm, his momentum unshaken as he protected Runula right behind him. The half-demon used all of his power, with Ruri’s mental support, to keep the Dragon Turtle trapped.
Coltia, on the other hand, faced the Vermilion Bird alone. Using her divine silk, she had managed to immobilize it. Although she couldn’t kill it, its movements were completely sealed.
This was because the Vermilion Bird was an expert in Yang flames. But Coltia was an expert in Yang in its purest form, and she had already been immortal. Despite the bird being much stronger now, it was weakened, and with Ruri’s support and the help of this world, Coltia was able to completely dominate it.
Meanwhile, Lieson directly faced the Ice Phoenix. His black flames surrounded the opponent, attacking incessantly. The two birds, of vastly different sizes, collided repeatedly. Lieson was a much smaller Black Phoenix compared to that primordial beast.
The Ice Phoenix, in turn, stared coldly while fighting, but her mind was conflicted. He was the descendant of her sister, and something inside her refused to fight him with full force.
However, golden lines pulsed in her eyes, forcing her to kill him. Her will and mind wanted one thing, but the Queen’s domain forced her into another.
A temporary deadlock permeated the battle, although it was clear that it wouldn’t last long. The four pets were fighting beyond their limits, burning everything they had, along with Ruri, to contain them.
At that moment, new figures appeared in the World Completeness. Thirteen in total. Twelve of them emitted a dominant aura that was well known.
As soon as they arrived, the four opponents turned their gazes toward them, eyes widening. "H-heroes? No... this is different, but similar," the Vermilion Bird commented, surprised.
The twelve newcomers waved, and Empyrean marks began to appear... but they weren’t exactly like the traditional ones. Any cultivator familiar with the marks would immediately recognize that these were very different.
The marks of those transformed by Alm and Bruno always had subtle differences compared to those of common Empyreans, but they were almost imperceptible. Now, having reached the peak of an Empyrean, those differences became striking.
The twelve waved again, and a dominant energy, similar to that of the heroes, emanated from their bodies. Confused, the four enemies widened their eyes. Suddenly, a golden light bloomed in their gazes, their bodies trembling out of their control.
It was the Queen’s domain in their minds. The twelve together were able to activate it, similarly to how the heroes did with those under mental control.
*BANG! BANG! BANG!*
Three shots echoed through the air. An android fired coldly, hitting the chests of the three immortal beasts. With each shot, strange runes invaded their bodies. Immediately, all their cultivation and power began to dissipate, as if leaking through the holes left by the shots.
It was a strange and mystical phenomenon, the result of a technique created with the power of the Alvs, developed by Thea. The three immortal beasts turned completely pale. Deprived of their internal power, they were now almost defenseless.
They turned to the Ice Phoenix, the only one still capable of fighting with her primordial power... but wait. Hadn’t the Phoenix been hit?
Yes, it was only three shots, and she hadn’t been hit.
All the Queen’s influence on the Ice Phoenix was dissipated. The moment she felt the freedom, she looked at the twelve with gratitude. After a sigh, without hesitation, the Ice Phoenix turned toward those three. She already knew perfectly well what she needed to do.
In seconds, her entire body made of primordial power began to transform into light.
This primordial energy enveloped the three opponents, and before everyone’s eyes, it froze them into giant ice cubes. Their soul, life, and power were completely sealed by the eternal ice.
