The youngest High Elder asked the leader beside him, already holding a tablet of the great formation and about to activate it.

"No, you underestimate an immortal cultivator. Once we use it, the formation will change its state. All the Qi and its flows will move to attack this invader and reduce the currents on the Undine. If that happens, she might do something... all those disciples will be killed before we can reverse the situation. After that, her central rune will recover quite a bit, and all our efforts over the millennia will be in vain," replied the leader High Elder, shaking his head.

"So what can we do?"

The old leader looked at the invader’s hasty figure. His gaze sharpened. "He’s a brat with low cultivation, who must have been manipulated by those bastards from that alliance to cause trouble. He was born from the laws of the earth, has no real combat power. We’ll keep an eye on any changes. Anyway, with the great formation active, he can’t escape. Let those kids deal with him."

"But I’m afraid he might damage some internal rune of the formation... just a little could create a gap for the immortal," said another High Elder, squeezing the tablet anxiously.

"It’s impossible. The Immortal Undine is chained by the Celestial Chains and Heroic power. This brat born from the laws of the earth is nothing but a joke. He was used just to cause trouble and die afterward, poor thing," said the High Elder leader indifferently.

Hearing this, everyone relaxed quite a bit. However, he looked at another one there and roared, "Something we’ve planned and prepared for millions of years has actually resulted in such a careless mistake. You dared to be careless, you idiot?!"

This rage immediately made the other two High Elders tremble in terror. "Master, this disciple of yours has kept his eyes sharp this whole time, with no neglect. I secretly inspected all the young ones; no one could enter secretly with bad intentions," quickly responded one of the High Elders beside him.

The High Elder leader spoke coldly, "Then how did a low-cultivation spy get in? How are you going to explain that?!"

"His speed is astonishing!" another High Elder exclaimed, and the two turned toward the formation.

Although the beast tamer was chasing with all his power, he was still thrown back by the invader. The others were still halfway up the mountain, but he had reached the peak very quickly!

The closer someone got to the peak, the greater the pressure became. Even the invader’s speed began to slow, which made everyone think he would be caught. That’s why the High Elders were calm, but... he just slowed down a little, then shot even faster.

The three widened their eyes; it was as if he had deliberately tricked them into thinking everything was under control... and, in fact, they were right about that.

"I came to save you. Hurry up and show yourself," spat Alm, clearly irritated.

He was standing in front of a one-meter water rune, pure and shining like a blue crystal. But it was covered by many chains, and a strong golden aura flowed. The chains were peculiar, but covered with micro heroic runes joined together, forming the seal.

’Master, I think it’s too weak. The energy flowing through the formation is almost nothing... maybe it can’t even communicate,’ Ruri transmitted seriously.

’You still don’t understand a divine soul. It’s perfectly possible to hide things with skill,’ Bruno murmured lightly to her, ’I feel... shit, why is it always like this? A fierce and stubborn female aura. She’s hiding something.’

The Immortal Undine had been sealed for a long time. Her laws, energy, and soul were constantly being absorbed. After millions and millions of years, no one knew how much of her power had been drained; she should be on the brink of collapse now.

According to Ruri, the method of this formation was dark, slowly pushing her into her weakest state and draining the will of the enemy. All her power was being used for something, but clearly, the heroes didn’t intend to keep her alive forever.

This only meant one thing: the heroes’ goal was near completion. Knowing that there was another item of the Primordial Chaos in this sealed world, the chances of it being the other half of the cauldron were as clear as day. This excited Alm and Bruno.

They had just obtained the other part, and now it had fallen into their laps? Since when had they been so lucky?

That’s why Alm was a little irritated now. Being there was very risky and unnecessary. They couldn’t reveal their true power now; as soon as Ruri found out, they should just flee directly and ignore everything else. The goal was to find that half and steal it perfectly. But Bruno didn’t want to abandon anyone.

While they were standing there, the other young ones behind them were running forward as fast as they could. However, their speed started to drop drastically. Moreover, more and more were dying.

Of those who entered, less than 10% were still alive now; it was a real massacre. Bruno couldn’t blame himself; they didn’t have the necessary power to end everything easily. And even if they did, they’d be putting themselves at risk. Saving someone and throwing yourself into the abyss was a foolish thing, and he wasn’t that nice.

Suddenly, Ruri jumped. She had finally managed to manipulate, in record time, a little bit of the formation.

She waved, and the chains with golden light began to loosen... the water rune in the center vibrated softly. Then, a spiritual figure appeared, her form was very subtle and almost disappearing, without energy.

The Immortal Undine exuded an ethereal presence, looking like a mermaid from Earth’s tales. Her bluish skin resembled the calm waters of a river. Long, sky-blue hair flowed like gentle waves. Her deep blue eyes carried ancient wisdom. A shimmering tail in shades of blue and silver replaced her human legs, while an aquatic aura floated around her, even without energy, she was like the natural personification of the seas.

She had very clear feminine features, like two prominent mounds, completely exposed and free for anyone to see. Her race also didn’t have a defined gender at birth, but since she was a life born from the laws of water, which almost lacked Yang, choosing this side was almost guaranteed.

The Immortal Undine focused her eyes on the one in front of her. Suddenly, her chilling murderous intent filled the world.

*BOOM!*

Caught off guard, Alm and Bruno were thrown back by a terrifying force. It made them cough up blood. Cracks covered their bodies completely.

"Do you have some damn illness?!" Alm shouted furiously. At that moment, all his killing intent and karma surged, engulfing the world.

The sealed world seemed to freeze, as if all light had disappeared and everyone there had forgotten to breathe. Alm didn’t hold back. They couldn’t waste time or reveal too much. Without hesitation, he released the dark karma tied to him.

The ethereal figure in front widened her eyes. Even though she was weak, she realized, in her fullest form, that she had never faced anything so dense and evil. How could anyone have such heavy karma?

"Shameless bastard, my honor and my will will never submit to anyone! You think tormenting me like this will make me obedient?" she roared, glaring at them coldly. "You think you can deceive me and get my central rune and my last breath intact? Hahaha... Sending a bastard hero disguised?"

The Undine looked at them with a dry smile. Her eyes, like gemstones, radiated arrogance and coldness. To her, the only thing capable of being so evil to possess such karma could only be a hero.

She exuded the aura of a caged empress. Even in this situation, her air of arrogance made her look down on the rest of the world, a presence that would never submit.

"Slut, open your eyes, I came to save you. I won’t repeat myself. My patience is running out!" Alm insulted her, furious.

"Fools! You’ve tried illusions on me before, I won’t fall for this. Divide your divine soul and take the body of a young one? You killed an innocent just for that! But he will be avenged. Since you came to me, I’ll take your soul and massacre everyone here!" Her eyes were filled with murderous intent.

*Buzz!*

Suddenly, the world trembled and the golden chains jingled. A golden heroic light exploded from them, suppressing her power.

However, she had really hidden her power somehow; a hidden force suddenly emerged. She quickly attacked, using every bit of power she had left.

"Die!" she screamed, and all the young people present felt an imminent and inevitable death. That action would destroy everything there, and nothing could survive.

Outside, the High Elders were wide-eyed, incredulous. They didn’t move, knowing that if they did, even they wouldn’t survive. They could only trust that the formation’s power would prevent everything from collapsing.

But...

With a dry huff, the eyes of the young man in front of the Undine changed. On one side, the shadow of the Yin tattoo, on the other, the Yang emerged. With a simple wave, that power was almost fully dominated.

She let out a furious grunt trying to explode everything. But the next moment, all the hidden power she had saved for her suicidal move vanished, dispersing forever.

"YOU!!!" she exclaimed, clearly enraged, overwhelmed by insanity that had built up over all this time.

Ruri and Bruno sighed, they couldn’t judge her. She had been sealed and tortured for an unimaginable amount of time, with enemies trying every kind of trick against her. There was no way to keep your sanity after all that. Mihkriel was an example, and he hadn’t even spent a fraction of the time she had; but his mind was already distorted.

Left with no options, the Undine ignited the last remnant of power from her divine soul. She didn’t hesitate to sacrifice herself to unleash one last move.

A new attacking power began to vibrate in the air. She smiled grimly. But before she could do anything, a supreme and invincible light shone in the eyes of the young man in front of her.

All of her divine soul’s power froze and returned to her, being dominated by a form superior to hers; only the will and command of this other entity made her power return to its calm state.

At that moment, she felt something strike her chest. Doing that was completely impossible!

’Only... only something of the same level as that greedy bitch could do this...’ she thought, frightened. Then, she looked back at the young man, understanding the only possible explanation. A capable missionary had finally appeared.

"So, you really came to save me," the Immortal Undine murmured.

"Go fuck yourself! I’m not saving you anymore! Your death has nothing to do with me!" Alm cursed furiously and turned away, ignoring her.

She stared at his back, stunned. Her mouth moved as if she wanted to apologize, but her pride wouldn’t let her say it directly.

"You can’t leave. This great formation is under their control. With this low cultivation body, you’re sending yourself to death if you continue. I was hasty. To make up for it, I’ll give you even the last bit of my power," she said quickly, clearly distressed.

"No need. I can leave without you," Alm snorted coldly.

A strange hammer appeared in his hand. Ruri had already analyzed the formation and knew where its weak points were. It was simple to break its base without blowing everything up. This way, the surviving young ones could escape, and she would also be freed from the seal. After that, the consequences and her fate would be up to her.
