After using up all their upgrade points, the two transferred the new Dao level to the three in their inventory, then focused on studying the knowledge they’d gained.

The three types of knowledge were surprisingly vast, and it would take years to fully absorb everything. Even the two incomplete ones were as immense as the immortal level of the earth laws. They took a quick look at the earth laws and got excited to confirm that the Anti-Life Law was real; but they couldn’t afford to spend time studying that now.

They needed to act, investigating the sealed world they were in. Why did the Queen choose this place to seal the other half of the cauldron? There must be something here to aid the heroes in their mission.

’That law the heroes were using to invade the cauldron… the laws made for that are created in the galaxy cores, and black sealed worlds exist exactly in those places,’ Bruno said seriously. ’Maybe this is where the law is created, making it easier to use.’

Alm nodded, ’The laws are created using immortal cultivators as fertilizer. That’s a good starting point. Maybe, if we find him still alive, or at least his remains, it could help us.’

The whale moved on that island of bones. This sealed world was massive, and even with the entire universe sending people to explore it, finding someone was difficult.

Of course, they could scan the whole place with their souls and head toward someone if they wanted. But doing so was risky, as the immortal heroes might sense them. They still didn’t know much about the power of immortal cultivation, let alone the new power of their souls. Better not to risk it without reason.

So, they focused on analyzing the bones on the island and the sea below. The bones were dry, with no energy or even the Yin of death. However, they clearly belonged to powerful cultivators, being incredibly hard.

As for the ocean waters… at first glance, it seemed like nothing but morbid, highly poisonous water. Any divine cultivator, even at the peak of cultivation, would die quickly from the death poison upon diving in, unless they were above average.

’Clearly, all the owners of these bones were sacrificed here. This is a macabre formation, and its runes are hidden. Judging by the level of all this, an immortal must be at its core. We have to find the spot without attracting attention,’ Alm said seriously.

’If the heroes allowed disciples to come, it’s because they want more deaths here. Empyreans dying certainly enrich the place better.’

Bruno agreed. The path was simple: they saw plenty of high-level Empyreans, so they must be fighting over karmic fortune that emerges in sealed worlds.

Somewhere around here, they would all gather and kill each other to obtain it. They just needed to find the spot, and when the formation moved to accept the sacrifices, they would secretly discover where the core was.

Thus, they moved silently, leaving the island of bones. They made sure to hover just a meter above the sea and the bones. The heroes were searching for them in this vast place, so they needed to be quiet and careful.

A day passed until they felt the Yin of death intensify in an area to the north. Knowing that Empyreans sense where karmic fortune would emerge, the deaths indicated the direction everyone was converging.

The heroes wouldn’t expect them to go precisely where the disciples were. This place was far too vast to hide, so why would a fugitive go to a spot where many could see him? There wasn’t a crowd to blend into; the risks wouldn’t be worth it. But they could still have sent a hero to make sure.

A day later, Alm and Bruno spotted something in the distance that grabbed their attention. It was a gigantic island of bones. But it was made up of the bones of a single creature.

Huge ribs and irregular vertebrae rose from the water like monumental arches, forming caves and natural passages around. Some vertical vertebrae, like towers, jutted from the sea, while others stretched horizontally, creating a labyrinth of intertwined bones.

Alm and Bruno swallowed hard. They felt that every inch of those bones seemed to be connected to the heavenly laws. They were sure: these were the bones of a body made with primordial power. They’d seen something similar before on Pristine planet.

’This is a primordial beast!’ Bruno said in surprise.

’Looks like it belongs to some kind of bird. But…’

Alm felt a connection within his body to it, something stemming from his Behemoth bloodline. Being a primordial beast, they obviously shared the same source, but those bones seemed to have the same level of bloodline as theirs. The Chaos Dragon or the Fire Phoenix, for example, didn’t give him this feeling, as they were beasts far superior to the Behemoth.

They remembered the words of Leviathan’s son: the heavenly laws created three primordial beasts to govern the mortal world – the Behemoth, the Leviathan, and the Ziz. Of those three, only the Leviathan sided with the Queen; the other two were sealed. (Chapter 729)

’So, this body is the Ziz’s. But was it killed?’ Bruno wondered, confused. The Queen wouldn’t waste a primordial beast like that. It would be more advantageous to keep it alive and drain its powers; the heavenly laws would restore it over time, making it an endless and valuable treasure.

Alm looked around and sensed the Yin of death close to the island, but there was no one in a wide area. ’Let’s move closer. We don’t feel anything but primordial power in the bones, but something’s hidden inside.’

The whale moved slowly with utmost care, and there was no one nearby. Stepping onto the island, they moved toward the center.

In a hidden spot among the monumental vertebrae, they spotted a cluster of strange runes close to the Yang.

’These are the same laws the immortal heroes were using!’ Bruno confirmed.

’They merge with the primordial power… so these laws were created using the Ziz. This looks like an entryway to another place. It’s very strange and different from spatial laws,’ Alm analyzed.

Bruno agreed, and the whale moved toward it. There was a risk of running into a hero inside and getting cornered, but they couldn’t back down out of fear; otherwise, they’d never solve the current situation.

As they got closer, they noticed a subtle spatial distortion. Indeed, that was the entrance to another place. The law that formed it was strange, and if they hadn’t gotten so close, they would have never noticed it.

Without hesitation, they crossed...

The passage was surprisingly stable. In an instant, they found themselves in a completely white world. They looked up and around, but everything was just white light; however, when they looked down... they saw a mix of red and black — it was blood, a river of blood.

"OVER THERE!!"

Shouts echoed from all directions. They were surrounded, with thousands of eyes fixed on them.

"He doesn’t have the Alliance mark! ATTACK!"

They were disciples, all Empyreans, from various races. They wore robes with a round emblem printed on their chests, and even the beasts in their true forms had that emblem carved into their skin.

They couldn’t identify which sect these disciples were from. They knew all the major sects in the universe, but they had never seen anything like this.

What was most intriguing was that all of them were Sovereign Empyreans, and there were almost a million of them there. What unknown sect could have so many disciples at such a high level? It seemed impossible.

The blades came closer, aimed at them without hesitation, about a hundred meters away. Alm and Bruno turned toward the sharp voice that had ordered the attack.

It was a figure impossible to ignore: a woman of dark and exotic beauty, with a unique aura and an unknown bloodline.

She stood at human height, and her skin was marked with intricate black and orange symbols, spreading across her arms and legs. They looked like demonic marks that glowed faintly, but there were no signs of demonic bloodline.

Her eyes were a deep, intense red, and her short, dark hair framed a delicate face marked by relentless determination. She had a pair of very small wings that wouldn’t allow her to fly, like an ethereal ornament radiating an unusual light.

She wielded a saber with thin, firm hands, revealing herself as a close-combat warrior. Although her slim, muscle-less body gave off a strange vibe, her outfit, which left much of her skin exposed, reminded them of Calirer’s style.

’Laws of the earth, Yin and Yang?!’ The two recognized the laws surrounding the woman who was watching them intently.

The whale’s eyes widened as he stared at the woman. This combination of laws should have been impossible for a cultivator to have at the same time. She noticed his gaze, and her face soon twisted in evident disgust.

"Stop."

She spoke, and everyone just ten meters away stopped suddenly.

Her eyes reflected disgust, but there was a hidden suspicion. She noticed the absence of fear in him, his solitary stance, and the complete confidence he exhibited. She sensed something was off. Her instincts were sharp.

"This disgusting ogre... doesn’t feel fear... great, I’ll handle him myself. There must be something hidden. My master taught me many methods to make him talk."

Alm and Bruno snorted. They didn’t want to kill young ones needlessly, but if they were attacked without reason, especially with the intent to kill them, they’d retaliate without hesitation.

"Leader Purimu!" A voice quickly rang out from a distance. "Those bastards attacked from the west! The fight has started!"

Alm and Bruno widened their eyes upon hearing that name.

"Go, everyone! I’ll capture this one’s soul quickly!" The woman roared, eager, and her saber attacked with deadly intent, without mercy.
